Abstract

E-learning content being a barrier for e-learning is no longer true on todays Internet. The current concerns are how to effectively annotate and organize the available content (both textual and non-textual) to facilitate effective sharing, reusability and customization. In this paper, we explain a component-oriented approach to organize content in an ontology. We also illustrate our 3-tier e-learning content management architecture and relevant interfaces. We use a simple yet intuitive example to successfully demonstrate the current working prototype which is capable of compiling personalized course materials. The e-learning system explained here uses the said ontology.

Abstract

e-Learning steadily growing and the ongoing struggle to convince the skeptics of the potential of e-Learning and online virtual classrooms, quality design is the foundation for a successful distance learning program. The design of the instruction and the design of the user interface are critical elements in providing quality education with a virtual, e-Learning model. This White Paper will focus on the design of the e-Learning user interface (UI). This paper provides examples of user interface design from e-Learning prototype.

Abstract

Much of the latest information is spread through web news portals and has the difficulty of finding a desired content. It takes time to browse through many portals and identify the desired content. To track any updates from a web portal can be used Really Simple Syndication (RSS) technique. By using the technique of syndication it can be made a search engine that allows to bring the desired content from the number of news web portals. Implementation of AJAX-SOAP web service will make the resulting search engine responsive and have good interoperability.

Abstract

The main obstacle in making a mobile app is the variety of platforms and operating system versions of mobile devices, as a result the application must be adjusted accordingly. In a long period of time web programming techniques have developed into progressive web apps that can be used for hybrid apps. Hybrid application is an application that can run on many platforms. MEAN Stack technology can be used to produce a good hybrid app. The Ionic framework can be used to implement MEAN Stack technology to produce a hybrid app that is easy and stable. Keywords : Progressive Web Apps, Hybrid Application, MEAN stack

Abstract

Today, the need to fill information as data is increasing rapidly. At the past, fill many forms in the format of papers. But now, the forms are changing to paperless format. This can be achieve by making an application capable of data input, edit the data, and post the data across all computing/technological platform available these days. The need for this application can communicate with each other. Related to this, there are many things needed, to achieve unlimited data transfer in various applications. One of the most important aspect that can make seamless communication/integration across applications is web service. Keywords: REST API, SOAP, Semantic

Abstract

Every participation in the activity is always proven by the presence of a certificate. Issuance of certificates requires fees for paper, printing and distribution. The emergence of the era of paper less should be able to transform the presence of the certificate. Paper less is stopped by the presence of digital documents that can be accessed independently (portable), easily and across platforms. Portable Document Format or abbreviated as PDF one of the popular documents that can be distributed via the internet. So that PDF can be used as a document base to realize e-Certificate. However, it is necessary to develop a good application to facilitate the presence of the e-Certificate, and present solutions related to the authenticity of the certificates produced.

Abstract

With the development of technology and communication nowadays, it encourages everyone to get everything quickly, easily and precisely, especially in the world of e-commerce which is increasingly widespread and needed by almost everyone. A small thing that can help consumers is when they start looking for products or services that are according to their wishes quickly, easily and precisely along with them, assisted by other alternative choices. So when consumers want to type in the product they are looking for, they need to quickly search for synonyms. Autocomplete helps to do that by making search predictions based on the number of products previously purchased.

Abstract

The Faculty of Information Technology is one of the faculties at Maranatha Christian University Bandung. One of the study programs in the Faculty of Information Technology is Informatics Engineering Department. Nowadays, the management of Final Project and Final Project Seminar is still managed manually. In this research, we did this research to digitalize any documents and scoring grades by using this system for student’s final project. This causes the data management process related to the process of recording and completing the final project relying only on Microsoft Excel. In this research, an analysis and application design carried out to assist the process of recording the journey of students in completing the Final Project Assignment. The result from this research is an application prototype that can be used by course coordinators to manage grades of final project and final project seminar. This application is a web-based, built using PHP with Firebase database.

Abstract

Abstract — Social Media Network has been an important information source, and the information propagation within the network gave an impact on politics, marketing, and entertainment industry. Our aim is to predict a tweet whether the information will be propagated further. The previous research has focused on analyzing this task with a wide range of learning methods and features, such as content and account features. Timeline features are proposed as features that can further predict information propagation and as we compared the performance with content and account features. The dataset consists of 43.229 tweets, we predict the information propagation with logistic regression, support vector machines, and random forest learning method with these features. Our result indicates that the timeline feature can be a good candidate for predicting information propagation and the random forests learning method consistently performs better. From the training result, we further calculate feature importance. Recently tweets, engagement with another user and previous liked tweets on the timeline features contributed to more popular tweets.
