Abstract

Kabupaten Boyolali adalah Pemerintah Daerah yang berada di wilayah Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Dalam upaya meningkatkan kesjahteranaan masyarakat desa, salah satu kebijakan pemerintah adalah setiap desa diwajibkan unutk membuat BUM Desa. Perkembangan Jumlah BUM Desayang begitu cepat, tanpa mengali potensi masing-masing desa akan berakibat perkembangan BUM Desa yang tidak bagus dan cendrung mengalami kerugian. Dengan adanya pengabdian ini diharpkan BUM Desa dapat mencari unit usaha baru yang bersumber dari Potensi yang dimilki oleh Desa itu sendiri. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan pendampingan terhadap BUM Desa dengan cara berdiskui dan menggali potensi yang dimiliki desa sehingga BUM Desa bisamengambil langkah untuk memaksimalkan potensi desa untuk dapat dikemmbangkan dan dapat menciptakan Keuntungan bagi BUM Desa dan sebagai sumber Pendapatan Asli Desa. Kegiatan dilakukan selama enam bulan. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap, dimulai dari tahapan persiapan, tahapan sosialisasi dan pemahaman mengenai potensi desa, pelatihan mengenal dan mencari potensi desa untuk dikembangnkan menjai unit usaha BUM Desa, pendampingan pelaksanaan unit usaha dan terakhir adalah monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan

Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini berfokus pada Kotbah di hari raya keagamaan Islam dengan kajian paragmatik untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada jamaah dan pembaca serta mahasiswa di dalam memaknai sebuah isi kotbah dengan pendekatan perlokusi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan berbagai jenis tindak tutur dan fungsinya yang terkait dalam isi kotbah tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi checklist kemudian diklasifikasikan ke dalam beberapa jenis tindak tutur berdasarkan teori Yule yaitu; representatif dengan meliputi lima fungsi: Menyatakan, menginformasikan, mendeskripsikan, mengklarifikasi & menyimpulkan. Diikuti oleh ekspresif dengan tiga fungsi: memuji, berharap & meminta maaf dan direktif dengan empat fungsi: menasihati, meminta, memberitahu, berdoa dan yang terakhir komisif dengan satu fungsi: menjamin. Sampel penelitian ini adalah beberapa konten kotbah hari raya keagamaan Islam seperti: hari raya idul fitri dan hari raya idul adha yang berlangsung di tahun 2024.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on pragmatic English language teaching in universities. The scope of the study is limited to the opportunities and challenges of English language teaching. This study was carried out using a mixed method of conducting surveys and in-depth interviews. A questionnaire link using Google Forms from Spreadsheet was sent to 6 English lecturers via WhatsApp group and personal contact. The study sample consisted of 6 English lecturers from state and private universities in Central Java. Observation, questionnaire analysis, and interview transcripts show that the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has created opportunities and challenges to teaching and learning English. AI has transformed English language teaching in higher education. The findings and discussion elaborate some novelties of this study; 1) the profile of utilizing ChatGPT in pragmatics ELT teaching, portrays that ChatGPT roles in teaching scenarios play 3 major sessions, like; designing creative and innovative pragmatics teaching materials, setting up the midterm test of pragmatics project, and lastly, assessing and evaluating the pragmatics final test project. 2) The opportunities of using ChatGPT for lecturers, ChatGPT is one of the most sophisticated AI tools available today, and it can write nearly anything that an instructor wants it to. ChatGPT can help lecturers with a variety of tasks, such as creating course outlines, student progress reports, test and quiz questions, and grading rubrics; developing more inclusive and accessible learning activities; interacting with students and their families; and contributing text for websites or bulletin boards to maintain a connection between students and their families. 3) The challenges of applying ChatGPT for lecturers; ChatGPT can provide immediate responses to student questions, ChatGPT can adapt to individual student needs, ChatGPT can increase accessibility and inclusivity by providing language support for students with diverse learning needs, ChatGPT can serve as a valuable tool for language practice and strengthening, ChatGPT can encourage active learning by encouraging students to ask questions, engage in discussions, and seek clarification on challenging concepts, Integrating ChatGPT into language teaching can inspire innovative teaching approaches, such as blended learning models, flipped classrooms, and gamified learning experiences, that leverage technology to improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

Kalimosodo tourist attraction, located in Tulung District, Klaten Regency, holds great potential as a natural and cultural tourist destination. Unfortunately, this attraction has not been matched by an adequate marketing strategy, especially in the digital context. This has led to low tourist visits and minimal exposure on online platforms. Based on the identification of partner problems, assistance is needed that focuses on strengthening digital marketing skills to improve the promotion of tourist destinations effectively and efficiently. This service activity uses the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach which is oriented towards developing local potential and assets. The implementation method is in the form of socialisation of the importance of digital marketing, as well as workshops on content creation, social media management, and promotion strategies based on local distinctiveness. This activity is carried out in a participatory manner so that partners can understand and practice the material provided directly. This process is also accompanied by evaluation and technical assistance in managing promotions on an ongoing basis. The results of the activity show that partners have increased understanding and skills in using social media as a marketing tool.Tourism promotion accounts were successfully created, and digital content began to be uploaded consistently. The conclusion of this activity is that the application of digital marketing in a structured and community-based manner can increase the existence of local tourism objects. The ABCD approach is a relevant strategy to empower communities to manage tourism promotion independently and sustainably.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini merupakan kegiatan yang berbasis kewirausahaan yaitu mengolah usaha online, hasil dari kegiatan ibu-ibu pkk dalam membuat busana gamis. Kegiatan tim yang dilaksanakan yaitu membekali ketrampilan Ibu-ibu PKK untuk bisa berwirausaha dan bisa menambah penghasilan. Kegiatan pengadian ini dilaksanakan di Dk. Ocak-Acik, Jati, Jaten Karanganyar-Surakarta yaitu selama 6 bulan. Model dalam pelaksanakan pengabdian ini yaitu terdiri dari pelatihan andragogi 70% praktek dan 30% teori. Peserta lebih fokus pada aktivitas praktek dalam mengolah usaha online untuk menjual busana yang telah dibuat dalam kegiatan pengabdian yang telak dilaksanakan. Tim pengabdian telah memberikan workshop pelatihan dalam strategi menjual busana dengan media online. Target yang telah dicapai dalam kegiatan pengabdian yaitu ibu-ibu PKK yang terdiri dari 10 mitra telah mengetahui cara menjual busana gamis di media sosial seperti Tokopedia, Shopee, Facebook, Instagram, dan Lazada. Kesimpulan dari  kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilaksanakan yaitu Ibu-ibu pkk sebagai mitra terbantu dalam menjual busana home industri yang dapat menambah peluang penjualan busana gamis

Abstract

This study aimed at investigating how far teachers and students really understand the existence of character education in the curriculum, especially through the teaching and learning process in the classroom by using English textbooks as a medium. There were six teachers and six students who participated in this research. A semi-structured interview with a one-on-one interview was conducted in order to see the perspective of teachers and students about character education in their textbooks.  The study revealed that both teachers’ and students’ agreed that character education is essential in creating good individuals with noble characters to tackle moral degradation. Their understanding of character education in the textbooks they were using now was satisfactory. It can be seen through both teachers and students were aware of dealing with character values in the textbooks that embedded in the teaching and learning materials which can be presented both in form of implicit and explicit but they did not know about 18 character values proposed by the government yet.

Abstract

Cognitive learning outcomes are important basic skills that students must master. Science learning must be designed so that it can optimally provide students with the cognitive dimension. The importance of cognitive learning outcomes is in contrast to conditions in the field. Students' cognitive abilities in science learning are still low, especially at levels C2, C3 and C4. Observation results at Ihsanul Fikri Mungkid IT Middle School show that students' cognitive learning outcomes are still below the specified average, namely 78. The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of learning using the Argument Driven Inquiry model in improving junior high school students' cognitive learning outcomes. This research uses a quantitative approach of the Quasi Experiment type, data analysis is carried out using the Mann Whitney test, N-Gain test, and effect size test. The research results show that the Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model is effective in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of junior high school students with an N-Gain of 0,7444, which is in the high category.

Abstract

Appraisal Theory's linguistic discourse analysis gives different techniques to analyze "objectivity" and ideological bias in news editorial. Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) describes the way in which language constructs attitude, and allows speakers or writer to place themselves in relation to prospective responses or other speakers/writers in terms of how they value their opinions. The study was aimed to know existing of appraisal attitude system in news editorial and to figure out the dominant types of appraisal in the Los Angeles Times News Editorial convey the meaning of the sentence. The writer look at the creation of journalistic reality from a linguistic point of view, how the choices journalists make in terms of vocabulary reveal their ideological standing, both in terms of content and context. For this purpose the writers using the Los Angeles Times editorial which published in January 17th 2021 as an example, this chapter applies the framework an appraisal. Since these articles make connection to President Donald J. Trump. It activate powerful evaluation of appraisal attitude values that provide news articles evaluative implications that observed. The news editorial system draws attention to the importance of emotion, judgment and appreciation in its coverage of problems. As a results, the study showed that performance in appraisal system in Los Angeles Times news editorial is almost in entire text the writer give some lexical items that give “affect” to the reader. In this case is negative affect. And then, the writer intends to give less attention on appreciation lexical items.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada perubahan tatanan pendidikan di Indonesia, yaitu dari sistem pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh. Salah satu jenis pembelajaran jarak jauh adalah pembelajaran daring. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kontribusi multimedia dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap pembelajaran daring dan menganalisis fungsi media pembelajaran alternatif (multimedia interaktif) pada masa pandemi Covid-19, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif berbasis studi kepustakaan (Library Research). Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi yang berasal dari sumber pustaka. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis isi, yang mengadaptasi setiap sumber atau artikel yang digunakan dan membandingkan konteksnya dengan artikel lain baik dari buku, jurnal, maupun makalah penelitian lainnya. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa multimedia dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar untuk pembelajaran daring. Multimedia juga dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar anak yang sering menurun di masa Covid-19. Proses pembelajaran tetap aktif walaupun tidak dilakukan secara tatap muka. Termasuk segala fasilitas dan dukungan untuk memastikan pembelajaran daring dapat dilaksanakan, mulai dari akses internet, perangkat seperti smartphone dan notebook, serta tersedianya sinyal yang memadai.
