Abstract

Covid-19 is a flu disease that was first discovered in China. This epidemic spread to all corners of the world very quickly. The emergence of Covid-19 has caused various problems. To stop the spread of COVID-19, almost all countries in the world have implemented social restrictions and closed all access to and from national borders. not only health problems, as a result of the implementation of this policy, the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic extend to the problem of disrupting a country's economy. During the pandemic, Indonesia experienced many problems, such as the slowing pace of economic growth which led to a decline in state income, the increase in the spread of covid, health workers lacked personal protective equipment, and others. Nestle is one of the MNCs based in Indonesia. Through several programs implemented, the CSR team of PT. Nestle Indonesia has helped Indonesia face the pandemic in the economic and health fields. This study uses qualitative methods. This study explains the importance of the presence of an MNC in the guest country because it has various positive impacts on the guest country where the MNC operates. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic, which has now become a global challenge, has implications for all sectors of life, especially the economic sector. Indonesia is one of the countries whose economy has been affected by this pandemic situation. One of the policies that must be taken by the Indonesian government is to initiate the National Economic Recovery program. This study aims to analyze the contribution made by South Korea to Indonesia which has a cooperative relationship between the two countries in Indonesia's economic recovery after the pandemic. The data in this study were collected through a descriptive technique of study analysis or literature review with a focus on international cooperation relations between Indonesia and South Korea during the Covid-19 pandemic and analyzed qualitatively using secondary data. The results showed that South Korea contributed to Indonesia's economic recovery after the pandemic through cooperation in various sectors such as investment, export-import and trade, energy and mineral resources, tourism to e-commerce through K-Pop. In contrast to previous studies, this study concludes that the cooperation between the two countries has brought significant results in Indonesia's economic recovery after the pandemic.

Abstract

Human trafficking has been one of the prolonged transnational organized crime issues in Indonesia, especially in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT). Though government has made some efforts to address the issue, the trafficking cases in the region still remains high. This research attempts to analyze and challenge the existing anti-trafficking scheme designed and performed by the government. Using a qualitative research method, this research found that the government has managed to include non-state stakeholders—such as NGOs and civil society organizations—in its counter trafficking strategy. However, the role of non-state stakeholders are still limited and regarded as a mere technical support as well as an assistance provider for the trafficking victims, rather than engaged in an early and further strategic stage. The established cooperation tends to represent a partnership instead of a collaboration. This research highlights the urgency of redesigning counter-trafficking response in East Nusa Tenggara and strengthening the role NGOs through a collaborative multilevel governance, which emphasize further engagement of non-state stakeholder in policy-making process. Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana upaya Korea Selatan berkontribusi dalam mitigasi krisis lingkungan internasional. Salah satu kebijakan yang diperkenalkan adalah pengembangan energi terbarukan, di mana Korea Selatan telah menginvestasikan dana yang signifikan untuk mengembangkan sumber energi yang ramah lingkungan seperti tenaga surya dan tenaga angin. Selama pelaksanaan Rancangan Five Years Plan, Korea Selatan telah menunjukkan komitmen yang kuat dalam menjadi role model bagi dunia internasional dalam pengembangan kebijakan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Dengan menggabungkan kebijakan green growth dan inisiatif ramah lingkungan, mereka berharap dapat mengurangi dampak negatif industrialisasi terhadap lingkungan dan memperbaiki kualitas hidup masyarakat. Dalam penelitian ini, data dan informasi yang relevan dikumpulkan melalui studi kepustakaan dari berbagai sumber tepercaya dengan analisis kualitatif. Secara keseluruhan, kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa Korea Selatan telah memainkan peran yang signifikan sebagai negara middle power dalam mengatasi isu lingkungan internasional. Dengan menjadi inisiator dan role model dalam kebijakan ramah lingkungan, mereka berharap dapat menginspirasi negara-negara lain untuk mengadopsi praktik yang sama dalam upaya melindungi dan menjaga kelestarian lingkungan hidup global

Abstract

Hubungan diplomatik antar negara tentunya memiliki dinamika tersendiri dikarenakan terjadinya perbedaan kepentingan yang ingin dicapai oleh kedua belah negara, begitu pula dengan hubungan antara Indonesia dan China dalam bidang perekonomian terutama investasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana dampak kerja sama antara Indonesia dan China dalam proyek investasi nikel terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi kedua negara. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori interdependensi atau saling ketergantungan untuk melihat bagaimana proyek investasi nikel yang dijalankan oleh Indonesia dan China memberikan dampak bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi kedua belah pihak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif-kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat dilihat bahwa tidak ada suatu negara yang secara keseluruhan dapat memenuhi kebutuhannya sendiri, sehingga mereka saling bergantung pada sumberdaya dan produk negara lainnya yang menyebabkan adanya kerja sama dan saling ketergantungan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kerja sama yang terjadi antara Indonesia dan China dalam proyek investasi nikel berdampak pada adanya saling ketergantungan antara kedua negara baik dalam hal produksi dan distribusi nikel. Kerja sama tersebut juga berdampak pada meningkatnya pendapatan kedua negara, jumlah investasi yang masuk ke Indonesia serta ketersediaannya lapangan pekerjaan. Di sisi lain, China juga memperoleh keuntungan dari adanya kerja sama ini terutama dalam jumlah pasokan bahan baku nikel dan kepentingan industri manufaktur

Abstract

This article aims to explain the contribution of international organizations in preserving marine ecosystems in order to achieve sustainable economic development in Indonesia. The problem is focused on case studies of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) on how WWF's strategy supports the program blue economy in Indonesia. The strategy includes policy advocacy, multi-stakeholder partnerships, sustainable marine resource management, local community development, and ecotourism promotion. In order to approach this problem, theoretical references from conceptual theory are used for Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). The data in this article were collected through a literature study method on (1) WWF and environmental programs in Indonesia, (2) Indonesia and its targets blue economy, and (3) WWF's strategy in Indonesia in supporting the program blue economy, and analyzed qualitatively. This study concludes that optimizing the program blue economy in Indonesia requires the role of various actors, such as the state, society, and even NGOs. Therefore, this study found that cooperation between actors can reap success in achieving targets blue economy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Enhancing entrepreneurial spirit at Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding Schools) becomes a crucial point in the effort to improve the independence of the institution, considering the increasing needs and its potential to contribute to the economic well-being of the institution. In addition, the students (santri) also receive lessons in entrepreneurship, enabling them to learn about business and gain the confidence to become entrepreneurs, especially if supported by the readiness of the institution to facilitate its students. Besides the independence of the institution itself, entrepreneurship at Pondok Pesantren also benefits the surrounding community when the initiated business manages to empower the local community. Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan, located in Kriyan, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Special Region, is one such institution that has the potential to develop an independent business. This is considering that the institution already has a 3kg Gas (Melon) business and has received prior training. Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan has significant potential in developing entrepreneurial spirit, both among its students and administrators. This results in a lack of diversification of economic revenue sources to support the institution's activities. To address this issue, the Community Service Team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) implemented a community service program focusing on the cultivation of tilapia and gourami fish. The methods used include training, field practice, and ongoing assistance, monitored and evaluated periodically. The findings indicate a significant increase in knowledge and skills in fish cultivation among students and administrators, as well as the potential for a significant increase in income from this fish farming business. Thus, this program positively contributes to the utilization of land and human resources for additional income to support the activities of Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the health conditions of Tigray Conflict refugees and the role of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in assisting the health needs of Tigray Conflict refugees in Ethiopia in the period 2022-2023. The author uses the theory of international organizations which sees that international organizations have five important roles in resolving problems. This theory is very relevant to the context of the author’s research by looking at UNHCR as an international organization which has one of the five important roles of international organizations, namely as an Aid Provider in resolving conflict in the Tigray region. The type of research used in this article is descriptive, using a library study method which is carried out by collecting data from journals, books, websites and articles as a data collection technique. Based on the results of this research, UNHCR as an international organization working in the field of refugees took part in handling refugees due to the conflict that occurred in Ethiopia, specifically in the Tigray region, namely the conflict between the central government and the Tigrayan People's Liberation Front (TPLF), so the author found that UNHCR had plays a role in providing assistance in the form of basic health services, distribution of vaccines and immunizations, as well as workshops and mental health services.

Abstract

Untuk membangun dan meningkatkan Pembangunan desa diperlukannya system informasi digital yang memanfaatkan ilmu pengetahan dan teknologi. Pelayanan pendataan kependudukan merupakan tugas penting dari pemerintahan desa. Seperti di Padukuhan Panggungan dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya dalam data kependudukan masyarakat masih menggunakan pencatatan manual. Program yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan suatu bentuk perwujudan dari digitalisasi data kependudukan. Tujuan dari adanya pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membantu Kepala RT dan Kepala Padukuhan untuk melakukan pendataan data kependudukan dengan program digitalisasi data kependudukan. Diharapkan dengan adanya program tersebut akan memudahkan Kepala RT dan Kepala Padukuhan dalam melakukan tugasnya. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui metode wawancara dan observasi. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah dengan adanya website data kependudukan memudahkan pengurus padukuhan Panggungan dalam menginput data warganya, serta kemampuan dan keterampilan pengurus Padukan Panggungan meningkat.
