Abstract

Waste from meetings and gatherings is often just thrown away and collected by garbage collectors. This garbage has economic value for the surrounding community as an additional income. However, collecting this kind of garbage requires communication media that can help to connect the owners and the garbage collectors. To understand the underlying mechanisms in creating good communication media, this study utilizes a design thinking method to design TrashSure, a community-based mobile application without financial transactions and less profit-oriented. The TrashSure application was designed by analyzing the interview data of 10 people for each actor type: garbage collector and garbage owner. We received some feature recommendations to advance the communication channels, such as trash ownership and supporting data, such as time, type, volume, and location. In addition, the rating feature is essential to understand the credibility of the garbage collectors. Then, we evaluate the usability using the System Usability Scale (SUS) with ten respondents. The result shows a fairly good predicate with a score of 75.25.

Abstract

The role of staff is important in educational institutions because they help to manage administrative matters. Technological advancements, such as Microsoft Office 365, offer staff tools to streamline administrative tasks efficiently. The applications within Microsoft Office 365 are tailored to support administrative workflows, allowing staff to prioritize student learning experiences. SMA BOPKRI 1 Yogyakarta employs educators who believe that leveraging technology can balance teaching and administrative duties. In collaboration with FTI UKDW, a community service initiative was conducted to assist staff in understanding and implementing Microsoft Office 365 applications as a performance evaluation tool. This training covered four main applications: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Canva. The initiative was executed as planned despite scheduling challenges. Training sessions held during workdays and hours hindered optimal participation. Thus, conducting them during inter-semester breaks or school holidays is recommended. The training modules were tailored to the school's needs, and the implementation results showed improved administrative capabilities. The outcomes of the training can be used as a means to evaluate the information technology literacy of educational staff.

Abstract

Pusat data pada Perguruan Tinggi menangani pengelolaan data dan informasi untuk kepentingan operasional dan pelayanan aktivitas pengajaran, penelitian, pengabdian, keuangan, kemahasiswaan, dan sebagai media penyimpanan. Dalam Pusat data juga terdapat peralatan yang lain yang mendukung kegiatan server atau komputer untuk tetap berjalan dengan baik. Pusat data merupakan aset yang yang harus dilindungi keamanan data dan informasinya dari setiap risiko dan ancaman yang ada. Risiko dan ancaman tidak hanya terjadi pada sistem operasi, aplikasi, file dan data saja tetapi risiko dan ancaman terhadap lokasi fisik dari pusat data tersebut ditempatkan. Kerangka kerja NIST 800-30 sebagai acuan dan prosedur kerja dalam melakukan penilaian risiko pusat data. NIST 800-30 memberikan 9 tahapan yaitu karakteristik sistem, identifikasi ancaman, identifikasi kerentanan, analisa pengendalian, penentuan kemungkinan, analisa dampak, penentuan risiko, rekomendasi pengendalian dan dokumentasi hasil. Hasil penentuan risiko dibagi dalam 3 kategori tinggi, rendah dan sedang. Tinggi, sumber ancaman yang sangat merugikan organisasi. Kategori risiko tinggi dalam pusat data, disebabkan dari internal Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana sendiri, pemahaman tentang teknologi informasi karyawan masih rendah. Kategori sedang, memiliki potensi kerugian terhadap organisasi tetapi masih dapat dilakukan pengendalian untuk menghambat ancaman yang akan timbul.Fluktuasi sumberdaya listrik yang sering terjadi dapat dicegah dengan memasang UPS dan genset dalam pusat data. Kategori rendah, tidak terlalu memberikan kerugian terhadap pusat data, pengendalian bisa dilakukan oleh unit pengembangan dan pemeliharaan Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana sendiri.

Abstract

Peningkatan populasi orang lanjut usia di dunia telah disadari oleh beberapa pihak, khususnya pemerintah negara maju sperti Amerika Serikat, Inggris, dan negara Eropa. Dengan banyaknya keterbatasan yang dimiliki oleh orang lanjut usia, maka teknologi informasi mempunyai peran krusial untuk membantu agar mereka dapat hidup lebih mandiri. Beberapa pengembang aplikasi ponsel cerdas sudah membuat aplikasi dengan tema kesehatan, keamanan, komunikasi, dan hiburan yang salh satu target penggunanya adalah orang lanjut usia. Masalah yang muncul adalah banyak aplikasi yang dibuat tidak cocok untuk pengguna lanjut usia karena keterbatasan fisik yang ada. Uji coba dilakukan terhadap pengguna ponsel cerdas untuk kategori usia lanjut usia (berumur 65 tahun keatas) dan pengguna usia muda. Peneliti membandingkan tingkat akurasi pengguna usia lanjut dan usia muda dalam menggunakan aplikasi ponsel cerdas yang memiliki layar sentuh. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat akurasi penggunaan layar sentuh pada pengguna usia lanjut yaitu posisi target, ukuran target, dan besar layar ponsel.

Abstract

Financial report is on of the tools to help managing the companies. Financial report can give clear picture about how good executives manage the company. Financial ratio is the measurement to know how the company daily operation and help to analyze situation within the organizations.Case based reasoning is one of problem solving methods which use past data to help solve current or future problems. Nearest Neighbor is one of the method in Case based reasoning to test similarity within past data and tested data. In this research, Case based reasoning is tested and implemented to predict future financial reports.  This research use sample data from public company which is listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Some financial ratios are used to help future company financial condition.This study found that Case based reasoning is one of the method to predict company financial ratio. Abstract

The entry of technology in agriculture also has a big influence in supporting farmers in making their work easier. Many agricultural systems are formed that can encourage the success of farming productivity, such as an example of a system for collecting farmer data and farming activities, a land management system, land preparation so that a system that provides information as learning for farmers and farmer groups. In this study, the usability test and acceptance test of the web application mapping system for agricultural land will be carried out to see the level of reusability and the level of acceptance of the system. Usability testing uses the usability testing method, while acceptance testing uses the technology acceptance model method and uses an eye tracker in testing and the Partial Least Square software to process data. The results of this study indicate the level of usability of the combining metrics task success is 93%, time on task is 43%, error is 60% and efficiency is 70%. For the results of the acceptance test, it was obtained that two of the five hypotheses had a significant and significant influence, namely the perceived ease of perception on the perceived usefulness and the perceived attitude of use towards behavioral interest.

Abstract

PT K-24 Indonesia is one of the foremost companies in Indonesia, with a primary focus on distributing pharmaceutical products and healthcare services. During the last 2 years, PT K-24 has received more than 110,000 job applicants, with various position vacancies offered. The recruitment process begins with registration, online tests, and interviews. The need for manpower increases annually. More attention is required to select prospective employees who match the selection criteria. However, during the process, PT K-24 found that the recruitment process was less efficient because the applicants did not meet the company’s criteria. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to create a recommendation system for candidate selection. This study developed a recommendation using the multi-layer perceptron method, namely backpropagation. According to the prior literature, this method effectively reduces the error rate of prediction and recommendation results. This study also found that relevant data, the number of input parameters is not big enough, and the minimum network model can make better predictions with a considerable mean square error of 0.029. Our study contributes to the methodological approach by implementing real-world problems and measuring additional parameters that fit the selection requirements

Abstract

Public Health Services Kasuari is located in Sono Village, Wedomartani, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This health service has regular health check services to monitor and record baby’s growth every 35 days. Some volunteers write the health record manually using a health card which was prone to damage or loss. Through a community empowerment program, we offer a web-based information system, named posyanduku.net, for recording baby’s health record. The purpose of this information system is to replace a physical card, reducing the risk of losing and damaging the health record. Furthermore, it can increase the accessibility of the health record by providing access to parents and other stakeholders. The data entry starts from the volunteers to entry health records during the health check process. Parents of toddlers can monitor their child’s growth online. After developing posyanduku.net, the team held socialization to the users, such as volunteers and parents. We also provide a user manual to help users to learn on how to use the system. To assess its functionality and effectiveness, we conducted an evaluation by distributing a questionnaire to 16 participants (6 volunteers and 10 parents). According to the questionnaire response, we found that either parents and volunteers perceive that the system is easy to use and useful to administer the toddlers health record. Abstract

The Agricultural Land Mapping System (SPLP) is indispensable in an agricultural country where part of the population is farmers. This system has been developed by the research team since 2019 and has resulted in web and mobile based systems. The Dutatani SPLP system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. Before this system is further implemented in the community, this system needs to be tested in terms of functionality and usability. This research article aims to compare the functionality and reusability testing of web and mobile-based SPLP. The test was carried out using ISO / IEC 9126-4 usability metrics that focus on effectiveness and efficiency, and involve farmers and farmer groups from Gilang Harjo Village, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The results of testing the web-based and mobile-based SPLP system show that overall respondents can do all the tasks given, but it takes a long time to complete. This is influenced by internal factors of the respondents, namely the respondent's lack of experience in using mobile phones for other activities besides telephone and short messages. So that when testing, respondents need more time to adapt to the system. However, based on time on task, mobile-based SPLP testing is faster than web-based ones.
