Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa dan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas X Jurusan Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) SMK Negeri 5 Tanjung Jabung Barat melalui metode pembelajaran membaca berbasis Survey Qestion Read Recite and Review (SQ3R) dalam membaca pemahaman. Uji Validasi data yang digunakan yaitu: (1) triangulasi data, (2) triangulasi metode, (3) triangulasi teori, dan (4) review informan. Proses penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan indikator keberhasilan tindakan yang ditentukan dari tiga siklus penelitian yaitu hasil belajar peserta didik terdapat peningkatan minat baca siswa kelas X Jurusan Teknk Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) SMK Negeri 5 Tanjung Jabung Barat melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran membaca berbasis SQ3R sebagai metode pembelajaran membaca pemahaman, peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil angket minat membaca siswa siklus I 54,45%, kemudian pada siklus II 55,21%, dan pada siklus III sebanyak 69,75%.Selain minat baca, penerapan metode Pembelajaran berbasis SQ3R dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa, nilai rata-rata nya juga mengalami peningkatan, yaitu 55,76 pada siklus I, 68,49 pada siklus II dan 72,27 pada siklus III.   Kata kunci: Metode SQ3R, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman   Abstract This study aims to increase the reading interest and comprehension of student class X of the Department of Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) of SMK Negeri 5 Tanjung Jabung Barat by the method of reading learning based on Survey Question Read Recite and Review (SQ3R) in reading comprehension. The student uses a Qualitative and Quantitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR). The research prosess was carried out in 3 cycles. The result of this study indicate that the success of these actions is determined by three (3) research cycles including student learning outcomes, wherein the reading interest of student in grade X of the Department of Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) of SMK Negeri 5 Tanjung Jabung Barat has increased by the application of SQ3R method, the average value of reading interest of students increased in the first cycle 54,45%, in the second cycle 55,21%, and in the third cycle 69,75%, based on the results of the questionnaire. Beside, the application of the SQ3R-based Learning method can also improve student’s comprehension in reading with the average value increased from 55,76 in the first cycle, 68,49 in the second cycle and 72,27 in the third cycle. Abstract

This study aims to explain the effect of applying the model to map concepts and reasoning ability of students to write essays High School Teacher Training and Education (STKIP) YPM Bangko, Jambi. The design study is a quasi-experiment, the independent variable (model a concept map), the moderator variable (reasoning), and the dependent variable (the ability to write an essay). 2x2 factorial design used. One treatment with two levels (X1 and X2) and moderator variables that have two tiers (Y1 and Y2). Subjects were two groups: the experimental class and control class. The results showed that there is the effect of applying the model to map concepts and reasoning ability of students to write essays. The application of the model map concept significantly affect the ability to write an essay, the level of a = 0.05, t count> t table (2.946> 2.011).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the structure, linguistic features, and feasibility of opinion discourse published in Kompas.id as a learning resource for teaching argumentative writing skills in senior high school. The study employed a qualitative approach using content analysis within a discourse framework. The data consisted of 21 opinion texts from Kompas.id, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was an analysis card containing indicators of argumentative text structure, the use of factual and opinion sentences, and criteria for learning resource feasibility, including aspects of economy, practicality, relevance, positive values, and alignment with learning objectives. The findings indicate that most texts fulfill the basic structure of argumentative writing and consistently integrate factual and opinion statements in constructing logical reasoning. In terms of feasibility, 11 texts are categorized as highly feasible, 6 as feasible, and 4 as moderately feasible as learning resources. These findings provide an evaluative model for selecting digital opinion texts as instructional materials for teaching argumentative writing and support the strengthening of context-based Indonesian language learning.
