Abstract

AbstrakSistem komunikasi generasi kelima (5G) telah diperkenalkan pada tahun 2018 dan memiliki kelebihan antara lain kecepatan transfer data yang tinggi serta bandwidth yang sangat lebar. Berdasarkan regulasi yang ditetapkan oleh frekuensi kerja yang digunakan untuk sistem komunikasi generasi kelima (5G) terbagi menjadi beberapa band yaitu untuk high band 28 GHz, middle band 15 GHz dan low band 3,5 GHz. Penelitian ini akan melakukan optimasi bandwidth . Penelitian ini mengusulkan optimasi bandwidth desain antena mikrostrip persegi panjang dengan metode slit, dan elemen parasitik pada frekuensi kerja 15 GHz untuk komunikasi 5G. Metode celah digunakan untuk meningkatkan nilaireturn loss sedangkan element parasitik digunakan untuk meningkatkan bandwidth dari antena yang diusulkan. Tujuan dari optimasi yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan desain antena yang memiliki bandwidth yang lebar dan bekerja pada frekuensi 15 GHz dikarenakan pada penelitian sebelumnya optimasi bandwidth yang dilakukan hanya kurang dari 20%. Dari proses simulasi didapatkan peningkatan bandwidth sebesar 169,075% dan Return Loss meningkat sebesar 48,65%. Penelitian ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai disain antena penerima pada sistem komunikasi generasi kelima (5G) dimana penambahan celah dan elemen parasitik dapat mengoptimasi bandwidth .Kata Kunci: antena, mikrostrip, slit, peningkatan bandwidth, elemen parasitik

Abstract

The gate is the main access to enter and exit the vehicle. In general, the gate is opened and closed manually by humans so it takes time and effort. This study proposes the design of an automatic gate control system based on digital image processing of vehicle number plates using the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) method to be able to recognize vehicle number plates. The vehicle number plate image will be recorded by a USB camera and processed using MATLAB to recognize each character on the vehicle number plate. Then the results of processing the vehicle number plate image are compared with the number plate database that has been inputted into the system. If the number plate is registered in the database, MATLAB will forward the command to Arduino Uno to drive the servo motor to open the gate. From the test results, it takes 7 seconds to process the vehicle number plate image processing until the gate is open. The percentage of successful reading of vehicle number plate characters by the MATLAB system is 100% of the 6 number plates tested with an accuracy of 100%. This research can be recommended as an automatic gate control system for security in buildings and homes.

Abstract

Makalah ini mengusulkan rancang bangun prototipe sistem yang dapat mengontrol dan memonitoring tegangan, arus dan daya keluaran dari generator set (genset) di lokasi pelanggan berbais Internet of Things (IoT) secara real time dan dapat diakses menggunakan smartphone. Relay 5V digunakan sebagai pengganti saklar manual, untuk mengontrol relay tersebut digunakan mikrokontroler Nodemcu ESP8266 dan aplikasi smartphone blynk sebagai pengontrol dan monitor yang berbasis IoT (Internet of Things). Modul ini menggunakan alat ukur digital yang berasal dari pembacaan sensor PZEM004T yang digunakan untuk melakukan pengukuran arus, tegangan dan daya generator agar menjadi lebih efisien dan efektif. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan bahwa modul yang diusulkan dapat digunakan memonitor tegangan, arus dan daya keluaran dari genset dengan jarak maksimal 20 meter dan rata-rata delay 1.2 detik. Tingkat kesalahan dari modul yang diusulkan adalah masing-masing 0.05%, 0.35% dan 1.01 % untuk pembacaan tegangan, arus dan daya dibandingkan dengan hasil pembacaaan yang ditunjukkan pada perangkat genset di lapangan. Penelitian ini dapat direkomendasikan untuk diaplikasikan sebagai monitoring arus dan daya pada genset secara real time untuk keperluan maintenance di bidang electrical engineering.

Abstract

This study proposes a microstrip array antenna with frequency at of 2.3 GHz – 2.5 GHz for various applications, with smaller antena dimensions. The microstrip antenna designed in this study uses a rectangular patch consisting of two patch elements arranged in a linear array. The type of substrate used is FR-4 with a dielectric constant (εr) = 4.3 and a substrate thickness (h) = 1.6 mm. The feeding technique used is indirect feeding using a microstrip line feed. To increase the bandwidth, the antennas are arranged in an array with 50 ohm and 100 ohm microstrip lines. The simulated antenna parameters are return loss value -10 dB, VSWR 2, and gain value. The simulation results of the two-element array design with a substrate size of 123 mm x 65 mm obtained a return loss value of -27.99 dB at a frequency of 2300 MHz, -15.16 dB at a frequency of 2400 MHz, and -29.29 dB. The bandwidth generated in this study is 460 MHz or an increase of up to 283.3% when compared to a 2x1 antenna array without slit. Furthermore, the addition of slits succeeded in reducing the dimensions of 34.43% compared to 2x1 antenna arrays without slits. This antenna is very useful as a wireless communication receiving antena.

Abstract

Kota Administratif Jakarta Barat adalah wilayah yang rawan banjir, karena posisi geografisnya yang berada 7 meter di bawah permukaan laut serta dialiri oleh 23 sungai dan kanal. Kelurahan Tanjung Duren Utara yang merupakan daerah mitra kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini  terletak pada kota administratif Jakarta Barat dimana banjir terjadi hampir setiap tahun, walaupun telah dilakukan upaya pencegahan secara bersama-sama antara pemerintah dan warga.  Ketinggian air saat banjir mencapai rerata 70 cm, sehingga potensi kerusakan pada peralatan rumah tangga cukup besar.  Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan mengenai cara perbaikan peralatan elektronika rumah tangga untuk warga yang terdampak banjir, di wilayah RT 0010 / RW 04, Kelurahan Tanjung Duren Utara, Kecamatan Grogol Petamburan, Jakarta Barat.  Berdasarkan hasil post-test diketahui bahwa 75% responden yang mengikuti pelatihan masih belum sepenuhnya memahami bahaya yang timbul bila peralatan listrik terendam air. Rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah memberikan pelatihan dengan waktu lebih panjang dan kesempatan melakukan perbaikan sederhana dengan didampingi fasilitator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengusulkan rancangan suatu antena yang bekerja pada frekuensi 3.5 GHz yang digunakan untuk sistem komunikasi generasi kelima. Antena dirancang dengan substrat Duroid RO5880 yang memiliki spesifikasi konstanta dielektrik = 2.2, ketebalan substrat = 1.58 mm, dan loss tangent senilai 0,0009. Substrat duroid RO5880 dipilih karena memiliki nilai konstanta dielektrik yang kecil, sehingga losses antena dapat dikurangi. Antena yang dirancang memiliki gain yang tinggi dan pola radiasi yang terarah dengan metode inset feed dan metode array. Antena yang telah ditambahkan dengan metode inset feed dan metode array memiliki luas substrat sebesar 16.2 cm2, return loss -38.96 dB, VSWR 1.18, dan gain 13.03 dB pada frekuensi 3.5 GHz. Setelah menggunakan metode inset feed, nilai return loss berhasil tereduksi hingga 95.48%, mengalami kenaikan bandwidth hingga 4.06% dan dengan menggunakan metode array nilai gain mengalami peningkatan hingga 95.93% dibandingkan dengan antena elemen tunggal. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan rekomendasi untuk disain antena penerima pada sistem komunikasi 5G.

Abstract

In early 2020, the Greater Jakarta area experienced severe flooding in several areas, one of which was the North Tanjung Duren Village, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta. Based on BMKG data in February 2020, the Tanjung Duren Utara Urban Village area is a flood-prone area with a height of 10-30 cm and is also a densely populated settlement so that it is prone to short circuit hazards that can cause fires. One of the causes of flooding is water channels / culverts that do not flow smoothly. This activity proposes the creation of a water velocity detection device that functions as an early detection of flood disasters. The detection device is designed using a microcontroller and is connected to a sensor for detecting the speed of water flowing from the drain pipe in the culvert. Based on the results of the training provided, the community's improvement in early detection of flood disasters has increased as indicated by an increase in the post-test value of 52% compared to the pre-test value. This activity is very useful for flood-prone areas as an early detection approach.

Abstract

This paper proposed a new design of circular polarization E shaped patch microstrip antenna fed by proximity coupling for Wireless Fidelity applications at operating frequency of 2.4 GHz. To generate circular polarization in the proposed antenna, the next steps is making three slits on the patch antenna and with this embedded three slits produces antenna E shaped. Besides that, the proximity coupling fed line is used to increase the bandwidth of the proposed antenna. In this research the patch E shaped was put on the first substrate layer while the proximity coupling feeder was put on the second substrate layer. The substrate material used in this research is one of the two layers FR 4 Epoxy with relative dielectric constant ( r) of  4.4  and thickness (h) of 1.6 mm. The circular polarization can be achieved by adjusting the width and length of the E shaped antenna. The simulation of this research gave some important antenna parameters such as axial ratio value of 2.58 dB, return loss of -19.98 dB, VSWR of 1.223 and bandwidth of 151.3 MHz. Finally, its measurement results gave also some related comparative data such as return loss of -22.12 dB, VSWR of 1.16, bandwidth of 153.2 MHz, and Half Power Beamwidth of 580.

Abstract

A band-pass filter (BPF) is an essential part of a wireless communication system as it functions to reduce interference and noise. Many structures have been proposed to achieve a high-quality BPF. Typically, these structures utilize vias. However, vias has several drawbacks, including impedance discontinuities, increased resistance values, and complex structures. In this study, we propose a dual-band BPF based on a cascaded closed ring resonator (CCRR) without using vias. Specifically, the proposed structure consists of multiple CCRRs connected at the corner pattern and incorporates capacitive coupling to the input impedance. Additionally, the CCRR configuration has dual sizing to achieve dual-band performance. Subsequently, the proposed BPF is simulated and fabricated using Duroid Rogers RT 5880 with dielectric constant εr = 2.2, dissipation factor tan δ = 0.0009, and thickness h = 1.575 mm. The measurement results demonstrated that the dual-band BPF operated at a resonant frequency of 2.50 GHz with a transmission coefficient (S21) value of -2.18 dB in the first band. In the second band, a resonant frequency of 3.70 GHz was obtained with an S21 value of -1.43 dB. The bandwidth in the first band was 160 MHz, and in the second band, it was 110 MHz. Moreover, based on the measurement results, the reflection coefficient (S11) in the first band was -11.05 dB, while in the second band, it was -23.3 dB. The excellent agreement between the simulation and measurement validates the proposed method.

Abstract

Polar code has been proven to obtain Shannon capacity for Binary Input Discrete Memoryless Channel (BIDMC) and its use has been proposed as the channel coding in 5G technology. However, its performance is limited in finite block length, compared to Turbo or LDPC codes. This research proposes the use of various CRC codes to complement Polar codes with finite block length and analyses the performance based on Block Error Rate (BLER) to Es/N0 (dB). The CRC codes used are of degrees 11 and 24, with 3 different polynomial generators for each degree. The number of bits in the information sequence is 32. The list sizes used are 1, 2, 4, and 8. Simulation results show that the concatenation of CRC and Polar codes will yield good BLER vs Es/N0 performance for short blocks of codeword, with rates 32/864 and 54/864. Concatenating CRC codes with Polar codes will yield a BLER performance of 10-2 with Es/N0 values of -9.1 to -7.5 dB when CRC codes of degree 11 is used, depending on the SC list used. The use of CRC codes of degree 24 enables a BLER performance of 10-2 with Es/N0 values of -7 to -6 dB when the SC list used is 1 or 2. The use of CRC codes of degree 24 combined with SC list with sizes 4 or 8 will improve the BLER performance to 10-2 with Es/N0 values of -8 to -7.5 dB
