Abstract

SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Minggir is one of the schools whose learning result of mathematics is still low. The learning process used is still teacher-centered and less varied. This makes the student's lack of attention to the teacher's explanations in the classroom learning. One of the learning models that focuses students' attention on teacher explanation is the Scramble learning model. The purpose of this study to determine the effectiveness of learning models between students who use the Scramble learning model to students in class VII odd semester junior high school (SMP) of Muhammadiyah 1 Minggir Sleman District Academic Year 2019/2020. This study population is the seven graders of junior high school Muhammadiyah 1 Minggir Sleman District Academic Year 2019/2020, which consists of seven classes. The technique of sampling research used a random sampling technique that is by lottery. The classes obtained are class VII B as the experimental class using the Scramble learning model and VII C as the control class using the direct learning model. Methods of data collection using the method of documentation of students' initial ability and test. Research instruments consisting of interviews with teachers and students, observations, and multichoice mathematical test results. Data analysis used is a prerequisite analysis test consisting of normality test and homogeneity test, then a hypothesis test using t-test the first hypothesis and t-test the second hypothesis. The significant level of 5% and DF = 62 show that: (1) there are differences in students mathematics learning outcomes using Scramble and mathematics learning outcomes of students who use direct learning. This was evidenced by the value of tcount = and ttable = , so that tcount > ttable means rejecting H0. (2) Mathematic learning of students who used the Scramble learning model was more effective than students who used direct learning on mathematics learning outcomes. The value of tcount =  evidenced this and ttable = , so that tcount > ttable means that rejecting H0.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media on a linear program with Macromedia Flash 8 HOTS exercises for SMA/MA students in class XI. This research is included in the research and development using the development model of ADDIE consisting of five-phase, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subject is media experts, material experts, and student response of State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 1 Kasihan and SMA Negeri 1 Sanden Kabupaten Bantul. Data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, observation, interviews, and exercises were done before developing the product. The research instrument used is observation sheet, interview sheet, and questioners to assess the interactive learning media that has been developed. The data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis that is converted into a Likert scale cumulative value. The results of the expert assessment of the media obtained an average score 4,58 very good category, by the expert assessment of the materials obtained an average score of 4,50 very good category, the student responses to the technical quality assessed in the small-scale trials obtained an average of 4,17 good category, and the student responses to the technical quality assessed in the classroom usage test scored an average of 4,44 very good category. Based on the average, the learning media of mathematics developed is a media of mathematics learning.

Abstract

In the learning process, multimedia has not yet been used much. Interesting multimedia is required to enhance the learning process. Teachers need additional multimedia to assist them in delivering trigonometry teaching materials. This study aims to develop interactive learning media on trigonometry subjects for grade X. Besides; this study is also aimed at knowing the multimedia properness in terms of material and media and the student's responses to multimedia. This study belongs to developmental research employing the ADDIE model that consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study's subject includes students of State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 1 Imogiri and Senior High School (SMA) Muhammadiyah Imogiri. The data used in this study are qualitative and quantitative, which were collected through observation, interview, and instrument. The assessment result from the material expert is 88.33 and categorized as excellent. The media expert's score is 85.33 and categorized as excellent, and the score of the students is 83.48 and categorized as excellent (based on trial). Thus, it can be concluded that developing interactive learning media on trigonometry subjects for grade X is appropriate to use in the learning process.

Abstract

Teaching materials are seen as fundamental instruments in the learning process and limited teaching materials with Curriculum 2013—modules and package books available, limited, and not easily understood by students. The mathematics module is one of the alternative teaching materials that can facilitate teachers and improve student ability. This development research aims to develop teaching materials in the form of Mathematics Module Set with Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Based Scientific Approach for Grade VII Students of Junior High School (SMP/MTs) and test the quality (feasibility) of the module. This development research uses Research and Development (R & D) method. Research subjects include material experts, media experts, students of two schools. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires. The research instruments are questionnaires that have been reviewed. The data analysis technique is done qualitatively and quantitatively to calculate the learning module's feasibility test result. The results of the material feasibility test are included in either criterion with an average score of 67. The module media feasibility test is included in either criterion with an average score of 67.67. Simultaneously, the result of the questionnaire of student response of small grade product trial stage included good criterion with an average score of 64,7. The results of the material experts with an excellent category with an average score of 79.67, in terms of media experts with a very good category with an average score of 74.33, the results of questionnaires student response test phase of large class products including very good criteria with an average score of 71.5. The results show that the mathematics module of the set matter with the STAD method based on the scientific approach for the students of grade VII SMP / MTs is feasible for the learning process.

Abstract

Learning media is a set of information that is necessary for the implementation of learning. Teachers and students in need of additional media materials in the form of modules to facilitate delivering quadrilateral and triangular, besides the varied learning model, add to the range of learning processes with a level of understanding. This research aims to develop learning modules media math subject quadrilateral, and triangular-based model of learning project-based learning for students of Junior High School grades VII and find out the feasibility of modules in terms of material and media and knowing the student response against the math module. This type of research is research development. This study used Research and Development to identify the Potential and problems, collect information, design products, validate product design, product design, revisions to the test stage, try the product, product revisions, and test the product. This research is the State Junior High School (SMPN) 4 Wonosari and Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 1 Wonosari students. The type of data used, namely, data qualitative and quantitative data. They are using data collection techniques interviews and are now conducted before product development. The research instrument used is a question form and interview guidelines to assess the modules developed—the data analysis technique using quantitative analysis, which is then converted into the qualitative Likert scale analysis. Based on the research results obtained from the expert assessment of the material with an average score of 103.33 belongs in the category of excellent, expert assessment of the media with an average score of 109.33 belong in the category, and the response of the students against the module with an average score of 112.49 belong in the category. Based on the research of expert material, media experts, and student response towards developing the media learning modules on the subject of quadrilateral and triangular-based model of learning project-based learning for students of Junior High School grades VII feasibility in the learning process.

Abstract

The 21st century learning process requires effective and innovative teaching materials. One teaching material that can help smooth the teaching and learning process in schools is a module. This study has two objectives. The first objective is to analyze the needs of mathematics textbooks that can improve students' problem solving abilities in accordance with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The second objective is to identify learning problems faced by students and analyze the suitability of textbooks with SILABUS. This study uses descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were mathematics lesson teachers and seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 09 Yogyakarta. Data on learning resources are collected by interviewing mathematics teachers. Data on students' problem solving abilities were collected by observation on class VII students. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. This study has two results. The first result is the textbook used is not in accordance with core competencies, not in accordance with basic competencies, not in accordance with indicators of achievement of competence, and the existing questions are considered difficult by students. The second result is the absence of learning models applied in textbooks. So that a textbook is needed in the form of modules that can improve problem solving skills in students with PBL models; Teachers and students state that needing textbooks in the form of mathematical modules that can be understood, motivated in learning, there are many models of questions that are real so students agree and support the creation and development of mathematical modules to improve problem solving skills.Keywords: needs analysis; mathematics module; problem solving ability; problem based learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi  matematis peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Klaten kelas XI menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif sebagai studi pendahuluan (bagian dari tahapan ADDIE). Subjek penelitian adalah  peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Klaten kelas XI. Instrumen pengambilan data menggunakan pedoman observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Miles Huberman. Rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik dikarenakan media pembelajaran dan model pembelajaran yang digunakan belum dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika peserta didik. Kemampuan literasi matematika dalam memecahkan masalah untuk subyek dengan kemampuan awal akademik tinggi, sedang, maupun rendah berada pada kategori sangat kurang.

Abstract

Salah satu kecakapan yang diperlukan di era global adalah literasi matematika. Literasi matematika merujuk pada kemampuan individu untuk memformulasikan, menggunakan, dan menginterpretasikan matematika dalam berbagai konteks dengan penguasaan teknologi informasi. Penilaian literasi matematika siswa usia 15 tahun secara internasional diukur melalui PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) yang diselenggarakan oleh OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development). Dalam menyambut PISA 2021 mengasah kemampuan bernalar siswa dapat dilakukan dengan pembiasaan menemukan solusi dari soal-soal   tes yang mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi.

Abstract

Problem-solving is one of the century skills 21 and are included in the 2013 curriculum. Students with low problem-solving abilities will have difficulty completing math problems that require high-level thinking. Learning media that does not contain problem-solving skills will hinder the achievement of student competence. This research has two objectives. The first objective is to analyze the needs of learning media that are in accordance with student characteristics, curriculum, learning models and teacher readiness. The second objective is to design discovery learning based learning media to improve students' problem-solving abilities. This research uses design research method with type of development studies. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students. Data collection instruments used interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and questionnaires. Interview guides to get information from teachers and students regarding the readiness of teachers in applying the 2013 curriculum and learning difficulties in mathematics. Observation guidelines are used to obtain information about student learning characteristics. The questionnaire is used to get the needs of mathematics learning media. The data analyzed using qualitative descriptive. Research provides several results. First, most students consider learning less attractive. Second, the 2013 curriculum cannot be fully implemented in the classroom. Third, discovery learning models can improve problem-solving skills. Fourth, the design of discovery learning based learning media. This study concludes that discovery learning based media to improve problem-solving skills need to be developed. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video pembelajaran berbantuan Powtoon dengan pendekatan kontekstual pada materi kekongruenan serta mengetahui kevalidan dan kepraktisan video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX C SMP Negeri 4 Sewon, sedangkan instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket validasi ahli materi, validasi ahli media, respon siswa, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penilaian video pembelajaran memperoleh rata-rata 4,4 oleh ahli materi menunjukkan kriteria sangat baik dan 4,44 oleh ahli media menunjukkan kriteria sangat baik. Untuk respon siswa memperoleh rata-rata 4,45 pada uji coba kelas kecil yang termasuk kriteria sangat baik dan rata-rata uji coba kelas besar 4,22 menunjukkan kriteria sangat baik. Dengan demikian, video pembelajaran berbantuan Powtoon dengan pendekatan kontekstual materi kekongruenan valid dan praktis sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
