Abstract

Fewer students backed the study play an active role in the learning process and still have difficulty completing abstract things. The purpose of this research is to develop a module with the approach of Indonesia realistic mathematics education (red. PMRI), know the eligibility module based on expert assessment material, media experts, and student response against modules that have been created, as well as to find out the results of student learning. Research conducted using methods Research and Development (R&D). The steps undertaken include the following two aspects, namely the development of modules and eligibility. Development modules include: (a) collect information, (b) the design of the module, (c) perform the validation material, namely Dra. Sumargiyani, M. Pd., KristiantaA.B, S.Pd., and Ratnaningsih, S.Pd. And also expert media, namely  Dra. Sumargiyani, M.Pd. Kristianta A.B, S.Pd., and Ratnaningsih, S. Pd (d) revision of the product. The next step, namely the In ligibility module that includes (a) conduct a test, (b) analysis of data (c) feasibility of the module. The subject of the research in this study is grade VII. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative analysis to expose the inputs and analyze the expert assessment results, media experts, and student response to determine the module's effectiveness. Research succeeded in developing learning modules for mathematics material Plane Figure to SMP students of Class VII even semester with the approach of PMRI(Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia). The assessment results by the expert of the material obtained an average score of 161,33 with categories either. The results of the assessment by the expert media obtained an average score of 100 by category. The student response results against the modules included in the excellent category, with an average score of  73,75. Simultaneously, the percentage of the value of a study's results using the module is 67% with categories either. The results showed that the learning modules of mathematical material Plane Figure to SMP students of Class VII were feasible and effective for use in the learning process.

Abstract

The limitations of materials resulting in learner's optimal learning can not cause learning activities centered on the teacher; this resulted in a low level of self-reliance and active students in learning. This research aims to develop modules, testing the feasibility of modules, and knowing the student response to the development of a module of mathematics based discovery learning on the material in rectangular to Junior High School students of class VII. Procedure for adapting the development of models of research and development ( R&D) include the stage of identifying the potential and problems, collect data, crafting products, product validation, revision products, product trials, revision product, trial use, revision of the product, the final product. This is a subject matter expert, media, and student. This research object is a module of mathematical-based discovery learning on the rectangular material of Junior High School (SMP) students of Class VII. Data collection techniques in the form of sheets of interview and question form. With test instruments through the validation and analysis of data using lecturer analysis question form and analysis of a mathematical module's feasibility. Based on the study results, the module's feasibility by the material obtained an average score of 102 with the category very good. The eligibility module by media expert earns an average score of 120,67 with category very good. Now the response of students obtained a scoring average of 131,80 with category very good. So, mathematical modules on a rectangle of material worth

Abstract

Mathematics learning media can help students understand abstract mathematical concepts, but the availability of learning media in school is still limited. This research aims to develop mathematics learning media in the form of learning model module learning cycle on algebra material for Junior High School Students in Grade VII, which is decent to apply in the process of learning mathematics. This research includes research development that using research and development methods, which consists of ten stages: potential and problem, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trial, product revision, trial usage, product revision, and mass production. The object of this research is learning media that is a mathematics module, and the subjects are material experts, media experts, and students of State Junior High School 13 Tanjung Jabung Timur (SMPN 13 Tanjung Jabung Timur) and State Junior High School 21 Tanjung Jabung Timur (SMPN 21 Tanjung Jabung Timur). The data collection techniques are interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The data analysis technique uses a Likert analysis. The learning media product developed has been assessed and validated by three learning material experts and 3 mathematics learning media experts. The learning material experts' assessment results obtained with an average value of 97.67 indicate the category is very decent. The assessment results of learning media experts obtained with an average value of 61.33 indicate the category is decent. The assessment results of student responses obtained with an average value of 134.6105 show a very decent category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the learning media, which is developed, is decent to apply in the learning mathematics process.

Abstract

The research is conducted because the learning process only centered by the teacher so that the student’s ability is still not enough. The research aims to know the differences in the student’s ability for critical thinking. The learning process use probing – prompting learning model and live learning model then compare the effectiveness both of the model towards the student’s ability of critical thinking. The population of this research is VIII B, VIII D, and VIII F SMP N 1 Sedayu because the classes have the same ability. The sample was taken by a random sampling technique then VIII B was selected as the experiment class and VIII D as a control class. The design of the research is a posttest only control design. The technique of resource data use test. The instrument of resource data is problem description (posttest). The instrument test of resource data use validity test and reliability test. The technique of data analysis is a normal test, homogeny test, then hypothesis test with the first hypothesis test and second hypothesis test. The result of the hypothesis test with significant level 5% and dk = 60 show that : (1) , so there are differences in the student’s ability of critical thinking that use probing – prompting learning model and live learning model. (2)  dan  sehingga , so the student’s ability of critical thinking that uses probing – prompting learning model is more effective then use a live learning model.

Abstract

Lack of mathematical communication and students' learning independence and low creativity become obstacles in achieving educational goals. One of the teaching materials that can help to achieve education goals is a module. These research aims are to develop, test the feasibility and know the student's response to the development of mathematics module based on the learning model of reciprocal teaching on the subject of equations and linear inequality of one variable. The type of research conducted is development research (R&D). The development mathematics module's research subjects are media expert, material expert, and some junior high school students (SMP)Muhammadiyah 1 Godean and State Junior High school (SMPN) 2 Tempel. This research object is the learning module of mathematics based on reciprocal teaching forSMPClassVIIin the sub-material Equations and Linear Inequality One Variable. The data collection techniques are based on interviews in both schools. The research instrument use questionnaires. The data from the research results are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The qualitative data get from interviews, and the quantitative data get from Questionnaires. The research results show that media experts give scores of ratings had an average of 131.5 in excellent criteria; scores by material experts had an average of 133.33 that indicate very well criteria. The result of the student response instrument calculations had an average of 124.12 in very well criteria. Based on the calculation, the mathematics module is developed can be used in learning mathematics.
