This research aims to test gratitude intervention as a religious activity undertaken to reduce negative emotions in victims of sexual abuse. A total of 104 such victims were identified using the snowball sampling method who were divided into an experimental group (N=52) and a control group (N=52). They were diagnosed as having negative emotions based on the child Trauma Questionnaire Shot-Focus (CTQ-SF) and Gratitude Questioner-6 (GQ-6) with triple ANOVA data analysis. The study’s results demonstrate a significant influence of gratitude on negative emotion, with values of F(39,037) = 4.71, p < .01, and ηp2 = 0.113. It can increase feelings of gratitude and reduce negative emotions in victims of sexual abuse. Gratitude therapy helps reduce negative emotions and foster positive emotions amongst such victims. Spiritual well-being is a crucial aspect for students in East Kalimantan, which can significantly impact their quality of life. This study examines the impact of spiritual well-being on the quality of life of students in East Kalimantan. This study uses quantitative research with simple random sampling techniques on students (n=475) in East Kalimantan. The data collection method for this study was conducted online using the spiritual well-being scale from Ellison and the WHOQOL-BREF Quality of Life scale, which were analyzed using linear regression analysis techniques, using SPSS software, version 23. Based on the hypothesis test, there is an influence of spiritual well-being on quality of life of r=0.344 with a significance of 0.00 (p<0.05), with a percentage of 34.4%, indicating that 65.6% is influenced by other factors. This shows that spirituality can be one of the factors in improving the quality of life of students. The implication of this study is that it can be utilized by academic counselors and educators to integrate value-based and spiritual approaches into student guidance and mentoring. Therefore, it is important for higher education institutions in East Kalimantan to develop programs that support student mental well-being.

This study aims to reveal the extent of the influence of self-control on juvenile delinquent behavior in junior high school students in the suburban school area of Samarinda. The method used is quantitative research with a research population of junior high school students in three suburban schools in Samarinda which include SMPN 26 Samarinda, SMPN 28 Samarinda and SMPN 29 Samarinda, while the sample of this study amounted to 313 students selected through simple random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out offline and online using two instruments that had been modified by the author, namely the self-control scale adapted from Shofiatun's research (2021) and the juvenile delinquency scale adapted from Anggraini's research (2019). Data analysis was carried out using simple linear regression to test the hypothesis that had been formulated. The results of the research analysis found that self-control has a negative and significant effect on juvenile delinquent behavior by 30.3% while the remaining 69.7% is influenced by other factors. That means, the higher the student's self-control, the lower the juvenile delinquent behavior and vice versa, the low self-control of students can be related to the increase in juvenile delinquent behavior. As for the findings of the identification that has been carried out related to various types of juvenile delinquent behavior, it is found that the juvenile delinquent behavior that has the greatest frequency is speaking harshly with a total of 216 students or 8.97%.
