Abstract

In this continuously evolving era of technology, the use of smartphone has become commonplace, including in the healthcare sector. However, there are still several issues such as long queues, uncertain appointment scheduling, and unexpected waiting times in the case of health care service such as in a hospital. Therefor, the aim of this research is to address these problems by developing a mobile application that utilizes multilevel queue and FIFO algorithms. The methods used in this research include data collection through questionnaires and documentation. A specific clinic is the subject of this study, involving both patients and clinic staff. The expected outcome is to enhance patient satisfaction through more efficient and expedited registration and queue processes. The result can enhance patient satisfaction because the registration and queueing process becomes faster and more efficient.

Abstract

Smart city development has grown rapidly in the decades since 4G and 5G technologies have been released. Moreover, a highly reliable network is required to support the Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile access within a city. Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) technology can provide huge bitrate transmission and high-speed communications. In the research, a backbone based on Free-Space Optical (FSO) communication (FSO) is designed through simulation to provide a Li-Fi access network with a high capacity data rate. The originality of the proposed method is the implementation of double filtering techniques, which gives an advantage when forwarding the signal to a node and improves the quality of the signal received by the Li-Fi. The FSO as the Optical Relaying Network (ORN) is designed with a configuration of 12 channels of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) amplified by optical amplifiers in the transmitter and receiver. The signal output is filtered by a Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) and a Gaussian filter. In the simulation, the ORN has node spacing in the range of 500 m to 2,000 m. Then, the data transmission rate at 120 Gbps is provided by the implementation of DWDM channels to serve as an access network. From the simulation, the FSO backbone can optimally deliver highly reliable Li-Fi access networks. When the nodes are spaced in a 500–2,000 m range, the Bit-Error-Rate (BER) performance is produced at the order of 10−6.

Abstract

Pigeons are very close to human life, therefore doves are often pets or livestock. Caring for pigeons because of their uniqueness and care is not that difficult. Care that is not so difficult is not that doves are immune to chicks. Many people do not know how to treat pigeons with disease first. Therefore we need advice from experts on pigeons to treat the disease. Because the disease in pigeons can attack humans, it must be treated first. To overcome this problem, an expert system was built which was equipped with 10 diseases and 33 symptoms obtained from experts or experts. The Naive Bayes method is a simple classification method which results in a probability value for each disease that appears. This system is made with the advantages of a user friendly display on the gejela selection page. The final result of the diagnosis is according to the first treatment method before being taken to the vet, using a web-based system which can make it easier for users to get information for disease diagnosis in pigeons.

Abstract

Information technology has supported the development of quality school services throughout the world. However, there are still many schools that have not used it optimally, especially in Indonesia, for example at Prince Jayakarta Bekasi Middle School. As in general, schools only use Ms. Word and Ms. applications . Excel. This resulted in different assessment formats and errors when filling in grades into the report card format. The academic information system application developed in this study uses the PHP, HTML, and MySQL programming languages and is named SIAP, which means eighteen academic information systems. The purpose of making this application is so that students / parents of students can receive school assessment information in a precise, fast and accurate manner. Teachers can also use the facility to process student scores so that they are well integrated and summarized as data for the Principal to make policies. This application can be opened on any browser platform, making it easier for users to access it anywhere and anytime.

Abstract

Optical relaying is the best technique to implement free-space optical (FSO) communications as a terrestrial platform. However, atmospheric turbulence (AT) limits the optical-propagation path length. In this study, the implementation of some optical amplifiers (OAs) in cascaded configuration, namely, erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, semiconductor OAs, and Raman amplifiers (RAs), are investigated through simulation. This study aims to search for the maximum link distance of an optical propagation and enhance the FSO performance caused by each configuration of OAs. The optical relaying network consists of three nodes, with each node designed with a space of several kilometers under the influence of AT. At the end of the destination, before the receiver, an optical band-pass filter is applied to perform noise filtering. Among the OAs in the cascaded configuration, the RA can expand the link distance of the optical-propagation path length to a range of 14.7–15.9 Km under the influence of a strong AT. The signal-to-noise ratio and bit error rate of the system are in the ranges of 24.1– 19.08 dB and 7.9 × 10−15–7.4 × 10−6, respectively.
