In an increasingly competitive business environment, understanding pricing strategy has become one of the key elements for entrepreneurial success. The Community Service Program (PkM) titled "Unboxing Entrepreneurship: Enhancing Your Pricing Strategy Knowledge", organized by Universitas Pelita Harapan, aimed to provide fundamental insights into pricing strategies for students of SMA Tarsisius 2 and SMA Tritunggal Semarang. The activity involved expert speakers in business strategy and student entrepreneurs who shared their practical experiences. Through theoretical sessions, case studies, and interactive simulations, participants were trained to analyze costs, understand the market, and strategically determine product prices. The outcomes of the program demonstrated improved student comprehension of the importance of pricing in business, along with enhanced practical skills in analyzing and setting competitive prices. Furthermore, the program successfully inspired students to develop entrepreneurial ideas based on a more structured strategy, enabling them to face market challenges with greater confidence.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) a significant role in Indonesia’s economy, including the local food sector such as household-scale tempeh industries. However, tempeh MSMEs in Sukabakti Village, Curug District, Tangerang, face several challenges such as limited production technology, low sanitation standards, lack of proper financial records, and marketing that relies only on traditional markets. This community service program aimed to strengthen MSME capacity through training on product diversification, production hygiene and sanitation, basic financial management, and digital marketing. The method applied was participatory action research (PAR), actively involving partners in each stage. The results show an average production increase of 15–20% per day, a reduction of defective products to 7%, adoption of financial recording by most partners, five MSMEs successfully obtaining business legality (NIB and PIRT), and 60% of partners starting to use social media and online marketplaces for marketing. Therefore, the program has proven effective in enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of tempeh MSMEs, while also contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

The growth of Indonesia’s creative economy offers significant opportunities for young generations to become entrepreneurs and contribute to the national economy. However, many students still lack the understanding and hands-on experience needed to transform creative ideas into real business opportunities. In response to this, the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH FEB) initiated the Creativepreneur Workshop: Turning Creativity into Business Opportunities at Sekolah Dian Harapan (SDH) Makassar. This workshop is designed to introduce the fundamentals of creative entrepreneurship, foster innovative thinking, and provide practical experience through the creation of simple, marketable products. Additionally, it offers insights on leveraging digital technology and social media for marketing while connecting students with experienced creative business practitioners. The program aims to inspire and equip young people to develop a courageous, adaptive, and entrepreneurial mindset that is capable of creating business opportunities from an early stage.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of proxied financial performance on profitability, liquidity, solvency, and activity ratios, which are then moderated by dividend policy on the share price of insurance companies in Indonesia. Multi-linear regression panel data with a random effect approach was used to investigate the factors that influence stock prices. The sample data was selected to be limited to insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2014 to 2023. The data tested included 12 insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data was obtained from the company's quarterly report which can be accessed through S&P Capital IQ. In this study, the software used to process the data is Stata version 17. The results show that the profitability ratio proxied at Return on Equity (ROE), solvency ratio proxied at Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), activity ratio proxied at Total Assets Turnover (TATO), and dividend policy proxied at Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) have a significant effect on stock prices. Meanwhile, the ratio of liquidity proxied to the Current Ratio (CR) has no significant effect on the stock price and the DPR cannot moderate the influence of ROE on the stock price.
