Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Take and Give learning model assisted by handouts on the improvement of science learning outcomes of students. This research used an experimental method with a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pre-test–post-test design. The population of this study was 20 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Tidung. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling, with the research subjects being fourth-grade students. The data collection technique employed was a pre-test and post-test. The data analysis used in this study was descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the application of the Take and Give learning model assisted by handouts had an effect on the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Tidung. Based on the paired samples t-test, the significance value (2-tailed) was 0.000. This significance value is smaller than α (0.000 < 0.05). The average pre-test score was 45.50, while the post-test score was 87.00. Thus, it can be concluded that there was a significant difference in students’ average science learning outcomes between the pre-test and post-test using the Take and Give model assisted by handouts in the fourth grade of SD Negeri Tidung.

Abstract

Learning models really need to be developed to meet the demands of the world of work and keep up with existing technological developments, especially in the field of physics. This study aims to produce a collaborative online learning model based on the case method in optics courses. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model has five steps that need to be carried out in a structured manner because they are systematic, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The number of participants in this research consisted of 12 physics education students from Uhamka Jakarta and 13 physics education students from Unismuh Makassar. The number of lecturers involved was 5 people, with details of 3 from Unismuh Makassar lecturers and 2 from Uhamka Jakarta lecturers, all participants, both lecturers and students, carried out activities in the collaborative LMS that had been developed previously. The based on the process of implementing a collaborative online learning program. The analysis stage is the first step which aims to match the learning outcomes with the type or form of the digital module in the Optics course chosen. The design stage is to organize and design learning activities and videos. The development stage is the stage of building digital modules by assembling them into SPADA Unismuh Makassar. The number of students in the high improvement category in creative skills is 50% and in written communication skills is 60%. This shows that the use of collaborative online learning design in optics lecture activities related to geometric optics material has moderate effectiveness in improving creative thinking and communicative skills.

Abstract

Penelitian berfokus pada pengujian kepraktisan dan efektivitas instrumen keterampilan interpretasi, analisis, dan inferensi (KBKr-IAI) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada topik listrik dan kemagnetan. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengukur efektifitas instrumen KBKr-IAI yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa pendidikan fisika yang berjumlah 13 orang, yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen tes KBKr-IAI yang digunakan dalam penelitian telah dinyatakan valid melalui uji validitas. Instrumen tes yang dinyatakan valid berjumlah 7 soal, 3 soal untuk indikator interpretasi, 2 soal indikator analisis, dan 2 soal lainnya indikator inferensi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai N-gain yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen KBKr-IAI yang dikembangkan efektif untuk mengukur keterampilan interpretasi, analisis dan inferensi calon guru Fisika. Penelitian ini direkomendasikan untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut pada seluruh indikator KBKr, dan seluruh topik pada perkuliahan Fisika Dasar 1 dan 2.
