Abstract

This study aims to present a systematic approach to evaluating the reliability of the lubrication system on the Sabuk Nusantara 43. The methods used in conducting risk assessments are quantitative methods and qualitative methods or semi-quantitative methods. In the quantitative method, the approach taken is more to the value (number) approach. Meanwhile, in the semi-quantitative method, the approach used is a qualitative approach and a quantitative approach. This method can identify potential events that not only cause disruption to pipeline operations but also events related to safety and the environment. The results showed that the biggest risk in the installation of Sabuk Nusantara 43 lubricant was found in the filter section with damage levels reaching five times in one year with risk matrix plotting in the major category (Not Acceptable) and risk control options (recommendation). Selection of filter components that are better and fulfill standards of existing rules, regular maintenance and checking, and avoiding the use of lubricating oil that is too old and used.

Abstract

currently general cargo transportation using containers is preferred. There are many reasons for choosing a container compared to normal cargo transportation, some of the reasons are having a standardized protection system, so it is safer to protect cargo. On the Samarinda - Kota Bangun route, transportation for logistics distribution uses the truck transportation mode. In this mode of transportation, it is highly influenced by traffic conditions and the roads in which it passes. For this reason, the use of self-propelled container barges (SPCB) is considered very efficient because it can overcome problems in container transportation rather than using land transportation modes. To get the design of a self-propelled container barge ( SPCB) the main size of the ship is obtained from the ratio of the main size of the ship. Then make a Line Plan with Maxsurf software and make a general plan with Autocad software and the main measurements obtained are; Lpp = 83.7 m; Lwl = 87.04 m; B = 12 m; H = 6 m; T = 4.5 m; VS = 10 knot; D = 4383 ton. With the number of containers as much as 140 Teus, the largest trim occurs at 0% DWT, namely 0.611 m stern trim. All the stability criteria of IMO A 749 (18) meet the 4 variations of the weight of the ship. In the DWT condition 100% the GZ max value is 0.512 m at an angle of 27.3○, and in the DWT condition 50% the GZ max value is 1.717 m at an angle of 38.2○ and at 25% DWT condition the GZ max value is 2.454 m occurs at an angle of 40.9○, and at 0% DWT condition, the maximum GZ value is 2.674 m occurs at an angle of 25.5○.

Abstract

Mengacu pada karakteristik sungai di wilayah Kalimantan dengan panjang sungai yang dapat menjangkau kilometer serta alur pelayarannya cenderung dangkal, diperlukan moda transportasi kapal cepat yang dapat melalui kondisi perairan dengan sarat yang rendah (low draft). Dukungan transportasi sungai ini diharapkan mampu menopang transportasi darat yang merupakan transportasi utama agar menunjang konektivitas antar wilayah terutama setelah dicanangkannya pemindahan Ibu Kota Negara (IKN), proyek besar ini diharapkan mampu meningkatakan pemarataan ekonomi khususnya diwalayah kalimantan yang dapat diwujudkan melalui peningkatan mobilitas manusia dan barang. Oleh kerana itu, kondisi geografis Kalimantan yang memiliki banyak sungai harus dioptimalkan melalui sarana tranportasi air yang modern, nyaman, cepat, dan terjangkau secara ekonomi, sehingga masyarakat pedalaman memiliki tranportasi alternatif. Melalui penelitian diperoleh ukuran utama kapal cepat yaitu Lbp:30 meter; Loa:29,015 meter; B:8,51 meter; H:5,46; dan T: 3 meter.

Abstract

Kapal Tug boat biasa juga disebut sebagai kapal serbaguna karena memiliki fungsi yang begitu banyak seperti untuk menarik atau mendorong kapal yang lebih besar dan ingin sandar di pelabuhan. Kapal tugboat juga biasa digunakan dalam menarik kapal tongkang pengangkut batu bara, kapal yang rusak, dan peralatan lainnya di laut. Dengan melihat begitu besarnya pengaruh kapal tugboat maka kapal ini juga harus dilengkapi dengan sistem pendukung khususnya sistem penerangan yang lebih efisien dengan masa pakai yang lama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besaran daya generator yang digunakan pada sistem distribusi penerangan kapal dengan menggunakan lampu LED. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode yang umum digunakan dalam penentuan intensitas standar pencahayaan dalam suatu ruangan yang biasa dikenal dengan istilah zonal cavity (lumen) method. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan lampu LED maka didapatkan total kebutuhan daya listrik untuk penerangan pada Main deck yaitu 1,77 kW, Inner Bootom Deck 1,15 kW, dan Navigation Deck 1,45 kW sehingga total kebutuhan daya listrik untuk penerangan kapal Tug Boat 28 meter adalah 4,73 kW.

Abstract

Struktur gading pada kapal kayu tradisional memiliki bentuk khusus mengikuti bentuk lambung yang akan dikuatkan. Bentuknya yang melengkung menyebabkan pengadaannya membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama sehingga berpengaruh pada waktu pembangunan kapal. Selain memperhatikan bentuk, ukuran penampang kayu juga menjadi salah satu pertimbangan pengadaan material kayu. Kejadian yang paling sering terjadi yaitu ukuran penampang tidak sesuai dengan perencanaan atau lebih kecil. Olehnya itu, pada artikel ini dilakukan simulasi penambahan ukuran penampang pada gading kapal menggunakan fiberglass. Penambahan dilakukan hingga mencapai luasan penampang yang dibutuhkan. Simulasi ini bertujuan untuk melihat kekuatan bending yang dimiliki antara gading kayu murni dengan gading kayu berlaminasi fiberglass. Simulasi ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen di laboratorium menggunakan alat Destructive Test (DT). Penambahan laminasi fiberglass untuk menutupi kekurangan 10% luas penampang kayu. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa gading kayu berlaminasi fiberglass memiliki kekuatan bending yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan kekuatan bending gading kayu utuh. Tingkat perbandingan kekuatan bending antara kedua gading tersebut mencapai 41.384%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada evaluasi penggunaan lampu LED sebagai pengganti lampu fluorescent (neon) di kapal Ro-Ro 1500 GT yang menghubungkan Kabupaten Kotawaringin Barat, Kalimantan Tengah, dan Kabupaten Kendal, Jawa Tengah. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk menilai potensi pengurangan konsumsi daya generator melalui penggunaan lampu LED yang lebih hemat energi. Dengan menggunakan metode lumen, tingkat pencahayaan di dek penumpang dinilai secara detail. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan yang signifikan dalam konsumsi daya, dari 9,83 kW menjadi 2,45 kW ketika menggunakan lampu LED. Temuan ini menegaskan efisiensi dan efektivitas lampu LED dalam lingkungan maritim serta mendorong keberlanjutan industri kapal laut. Dengan memberikan kontribusi pada upaya meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan keberlanjutan, studi ini menjadi penting dalam konteks praktik operasional kapal laut yang ramah lingkungan. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam penerapan teknologi energi yang lebih efisien dalam industri maritim.

Abstract

Fishing boats in North Penajam Paser are made by combining 2 types of wood in the hull. This combination of wood types is carried out to save the material procurement budget. Bungur wood is the alternative choice for shipyards for hull material combined with Ulin wood. For this reason, this paper shows the differences in the tensile strength performance of these 2 types of traditional wooden ship hull materials. The experimental method of destructive testing of the type of Tensile test was applied in this study. Where the experimental results show that the tensile strength of the crepe is 22% lower than the tensile strength of ulin wood. Meanwhile, in terms of stiffness, crepe wood is superior to ulin wood, where the difference reaches 22.22%. Bungur wood still has the potential to be used for wooden ships with an LoA (length over all) value of <15 meters or for ships that have a lower hydrostatic load than that which can be accepted by Bungur wood.

Abstract

The trend of consumption of hydrocarbon fuels in Indonesia, which is increasing every year, is not accompanied by the amount of production, which is decreasing. Alternative fuels to reduce dependence on hydrocarbon fuels. One form of alternative fuel is biodiesel, which is made from corn (maize) oil. Corn oil itself, if processed, can be an option for clean and environmentally friendly energy option and that is the main objective of this research is to determine the performance of biodiesel corn oil on diesel engines. The method used in this study is an experimental method where corn oil biodiesel is tested directly on a testing machine. The data from the test results will be used to find the torque and thermal efficiency values so that the engine performance values for each fuel variation can be identified. The results of the study obtained the engine performance value, namely the highest torque was on diesel oil fuel 4.57 N.m. The highest thermal efficiency value achieved at the B30 fuel sample at a temperature of 60 °C with the thermal efficiency of 17.4 percent. With these results, it can be concluded that engine performance with corn oil fuel can be used as an alternative fuel to replace hydrocarbon fuel.

Abstract

Pinisi tourist ship is one of the tourist ship designs made to increase the interest of tourists to come to Taka Bonerate National Park. This tourist destination presents excellent maritime beauty, especially its coral reefs. Just like ships in general, pinisi also requires a supply of electricity, especially for use in lighting on board. This research aims to analyze the need for lighting power on board, by carrying out the concept of a tourist ship, the lighting system is also made like in a hotel with the aim of pampering tourists. In planning, the lighting system is made into two conditions, namely conditions during sleep and normal conditions. The type of lamp used is an LED lamp which is proven to be better than other types of lamps. The method used is the zonal cavity method or usually called the lumen method. The advantage of this method is that the power of the lights used in the room will be just right according to the needs of the room, neither more nor less, so it won't interfere with your eyesight because the lights don't feel dim or too bright. The results obtained were the following values for each Junction Lighting (JL), bottom deck (JL1) obtained a value of 0.419 kW, main deck (JL2) obtained a value of 1.058 kW, upper deck (JL3) obtained a value of 0.893 kW. The calculation value for the Junction Emergency (JE) was also obtained at 0.506 kW.

Abstract

Motorcycle maintenance and service training represents a strategic initiative to enhance technical skills and empower individuals to independently maintain the condition of their vehicles. This training program was implemented in RT 33 Balikpapan with the primary objective of imparting both practical and theoretical knowledge on motorcycle maintenance and repair to local residents. The training methodologies employed encompassed classroom-based theoretical sessions, live demonstrations, and hands-on practical work under the guidance of experienced instructors. The outcomes of this training program indicated a substantial improvement in participants' comprehension and technical proficiency. Prior to the training, most participants possessed minimal knowledge regarding the fundamental aspects of motorcycle maintenance. However, post-training assessments revealed that participants were capable of performing various routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and chain adjustments. Furthermore, participants demonstrated the ability to diagnose and repair common issues, including carburetor contamination and ignition system malfunctions. The success of the program was evaluated not only by the enhancement of technical skills but also by the increased confidence and self-reliance of the participants in maintaining their motorcycles. The broader implications of this training include cost savings on vehicle maintenance for residents, improved driving safety, and potential economic uplift through the establishment of independent motorcycle service ventures. In conclusion, the motorcycle maintenance and service training program conducted in RT 33 Balikpapan had a marked positive impact, enhancing the technical capabilities of the community and fostering community empowerment through the development of practical skills.
