Abstract

Sa’diyah H, Buchori I, Amirudin A.  2020.  Exposure index of flood and tidal flood in the city and regency of Pekalongan. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Climate change can increase the threat of disasters, such as floods, prolonged drought, tidal waves, and others. Pekalongan City is one of the areas vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, especially in the form of floods and tidal floods. Exposure is the degree, duration and/or extent of the impact of a system or subject's contact with the disturbance. This study used a spatial model of the exposure index method. Data obtained from primary data (questionnaire surveys, field observations, and geospatial data analysis) and secondary data (statistical data from city and district governments and sub-district / village offices). The results of the exposure index modeling are classified into five classes with very high, high, medium, low, and very low. The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial model of exposure index in the coastal areas of the city and regency of Pekalongan and the areas included in the Kupang River Basin. This study produces the distribution of the exposure index in the city and regency of Pekalongan which shows that the exposure index is dominated by high categories with a proportion value of 49%.

Abstract

Kurniawan A, Hidayat JW, Amirudin A. 2020. PSociety participation: supporting the success of community forest management. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx.Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The development of community forestry policies in Indonesia has started since the old order era when the greening movement and the Karang Kitri movement were launched in 1956. The target of this movement is to plant yards and lands belonging to the community in the form of empty lands with useful plants, the results are quite sufficiently satisfying, especially in Java Island (Gunungkidul) and parts of Madura Island which were previously barren to become green areas. The success of community forest development and management cannot be separated from community participation, both direct and indirect participation. Community participation is their participation in an activity. In general, in community forest management, there are several activities including planning, planting, maintenance, harvesting, marketing, monitoring evaluation, and institutions. The extent of community involvement and participation in every stage of community forest management will be discussed in this article. It is hoped that high community participation will be in line with the level of success of community forest management so that a sustainable community forest will be realized. Besides, it is hoped that it will have a good impact on the economy, ecology, and social for the community.

Abstract

Harfin N, Kismartini K, Amirudin A.  2020.  Implementation of plastic bag reduction policy in Bogor city. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang  20 Oktober 2020. pp. xxx.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The purpose of this study is to examine how the Bogor City Environmental Service has implemented Bogor Mayor Regulation Number 61 of 2018 concerning about Reducing the Use of Plastic Bags. This research is supported by policy implementation theory which consists of four indicators, namely communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive research. Data collection was carried out through field studies and literature studies which were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of regulations on reducing the use of plastic bags was effective. The communication carried out is fairly maximal by involving external and internal parties. In the aspect of resources, especially in terms of human resources, the Bogor City Government involves environmental activists and students to actively socialize officer number 61 of 2018. The bureaucratic structure is already running and well-coordinated, but in fact some officials have to work hard in supervising so that this rule runs in an orderly manner.
