Abstract

This article had the purpose to analyze the functions of the mosque that is notonly as a center of activities of ibadah, but also as the center of da‘wa and Muslimsocial and economic activities. The orientation of da‘wa that emphasizedindividual improvement dealing with in the quality of faith have neglected oneimportant dimension of da‘wa, namely the development and empowerment of theMuslims as a whole. Through a qualitative descriptive approach and collectingdata through observation and interviews, it was founded that communities whichare empowered are not seen as passive recipient of the service, but a communitythat has a variety of potential and capabilities that can be empowered. Muslimcommunity empowerment activities can be done through mentoring by boastingmotivation, increasing awareness, developing knowledge and attitudes toenhance their capabilities, mobilizing productive resources and developingeconomic and da‘wa activity.***Artikel ini berupaya menganalisis bahwa fungsi masjid bukan hanya sebataspusat kegiatan ibadah, tetapi juga sebagai pusat dakwah dan aktivitas sosialmaupun ekonomi umat Islam. Orientasi dakwah yang lebih mengedepankanperbaikan kualitas keimanan individual telah mengabaikan satu dimensi pentingdalam dakwah yaitu pengembangan dan pemberdayaan umat Islam secaramenyeluruh. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif dengan proses penggaliandata melalui observasi dan wawancara, dapat ditemukan bahwa komunitas yangdiberdayakan tidak dipandang sebagai komunitas yang menjadi objek pasifpenerima pelayanan, melainkan sebuah komunitas yang memiliki beragampotensi dan kemampuan yang dapat diberdayakan. Kegiatan pemberdayaankomunitas umat Islam dapat dilakukan melalui pendampingan dengan memberikanmotivasi, meningkatkan kesadaran, membina aspek pengetahuan dansikap meningkatkan kemampuan, memobilisasi sumber produktif dan mengembangkankegiatan ekonomi maupun aktivitas dakwah.Keywords: pusat dakwah, pemberdayaan ekonomi, aktivitas sosial,kesejahteraan umat

Abstract

Tulisan ini akan membahas konsep pendidikan karakter dalam pemikiran Thomas Lickona sebagai upaya untuk membentuk kepribadian seseorang melalui pendidikan yang hasilnya terlihat dalam tindakan nyata seseorang berupa tingkah laku yang baik, jujur, bertanggung jawab, menghormati hak orang lain, kerja keras dan sebagainya. Tujuan pendidikan karakter adalah menanamkan kebiasaan yang baik, sehingga peserta didik paham, mampu merasakan, dan mau melakukan yang baik. Pendidikan karakter membawa misi yang sama dengan pendidikan akhlak atau pendidikan moral. Thomas Lickona mengatakan bahwa dasar hukum moralitas yang harus diterapkan dalam dunia pendidikan sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip ajaran agama dalam kitab suci, dan implikasi dari dasar hukum moralitas ini berlaku secara universal. ----------------------This paper discusses about Thomas Lickona’s idea on education character. It is mainly an attempt to shape ones personality through education which it results can be seen in action in the form of ones good behavior, honest, responsible, respect the rights of others, hard work, and so on. The main goal of educational character is to encourage good habits; so that, learners understand, able to feel, and want to do goods. Educational character has the same mission with behavior education or moral education. Thomas Lickona assert that the basic laws of morality should be applied in the educational sectors in accordance with the principles of religious teachings in the holy scriptures. Therefore, the implications of the basic laws of morality will be universally valid.

Abstract

Indonesia’s diversity of ethnic, culture, tradition, and religion have aroused the dynamics of culturaldiversity and positive civilization. If it is not managed wisely and comprehensively, it will cause conflictand disintegration. Multicultural education in Indonesia should not only become an academic discourse,but it also needs to be implemented in the concrete sphere in the educational realm. A conceptual framefor its implementation is neded, that is why, the problems caused by the effects of the diversity andreligious bias do not become a heavy burden for the country. As for the students, this paper explainsmulticultural education in Islamic education and process to cultivate values of beliefs and importanceof unique recognition for every ethnic, culture, and other social groups.

Abstract

Efforts to solve violence had been faced by multi treatments. Violence in education is action over the standar of ethic and rule in education, either physically or disturbing the rights of ones. The actors can be anyone,  including the chief of school, teacher, staff , student, parents and even society. Violence in education is assumed as effect of certain condition. Externally or internally, and it might happen with any trigger. This paper aims to analyse the importance of character building through peace-loving attitude to revitalize the actors of education as evaluation of structure and culture in the educational world. Our educational world recently sometimes shows its arrogancy and even militaristic behavior. While the basic tenet of education is to appreciate the understanding of human behavior in order to be enlighted and free.-----Upaya untuk menyelesaikan kekerasan pun menemui tantangan yang semakin kompleks. Kekerasan dalam pendidikan merupakan perilaku melampaui batas kode etik dan aturan dalam pendidikan, baik dalam bentuk fisik maupun pelecehan atas hak seseorang. Pelakunya bisa siapa saja: pimpinan sekolah, guru, staf, murid, orang tua atau wali murid, bahkan masyarakat. Kekerasan dalam pendidikan diasumsikan terjadi sebagai akibat kondisi tertentu yang melatar-belakanginya, baik faktor internal dan eksternal, dan tidak timbul secara begitu saja, melainkan dipicu oleh suatu kejadian. Tulisan ini menganalisa topik yang sangat penting untuk digali kembali oleh para insan pemerhati pendidikan sebagai wadah refleksi dan evaluasi kinerja struktural-kultural terhadap praksis dunia pendidikan. Dunia pendidikan yang akhir-akhir ini cenderung bernuansa arogansi intelektual atau bahkan bergaya militeristik yang tidak mengindahkan norma-norma etis. Padahal pendidikan seyogyanya memanusiakan manusia menuju taraf pemahaman yang lebih mencerahkan dan memerdekakan.

Melalui pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif dengan proses penggalian data melalui observasi dan wawancara, dapat ditemukan bahwa komunitas yang diberdayakan tidak dipandang sebagai komunitas yang menjadi objek pasif penerima pelayanan, melainkan sebuah komunitas yang memiliki beragam potensi dan kemampuan yang dapat diberdayakan. Kegiatan pemberdayaan komunitas umat Islam dapat dilakukan melalui pendampingan dengan mem­berikan motivasi, meningkatkan kesadaran, membina aspek pengetahuan dan sikap meningkatkan kemampuan, memobilisasi sumber produktif dan me­ngembangkan kegiatan ekonomi maupun aktivitas dakwah.

Abstract

This paper is the result of research applying reflective philosophical approach that try to answer the the question about the integration of the values of science and the values of the Islamic religion to shape the character of college students and the contextualization of religious values in the development science and technology in the multicultural era such as Indonesia. The findings of this research is, that Islam as a religion has always advocated Muslims to always holds integration, because, religion and science are not contradictive. and controversial, but complementary. Such a perspective, factually was able to build positive character among students in Jakarta, because for them religion is seen as a driving force for the development of science and discovery in science and technology should be aligned with the values of Islam, so it is not pulled out from the roots of religious values sublime.***Tulisan hasil riset dengan pendekatan penelitian reflektif filosofis terhadap integrasi nilai-nilai sains dan nilai-nilai agama Islam ini, mencoba menjawab persoalan integrasi nilai-nilai sains dan nilai-nilai agama Islam untuk membentuk karakter mahasiswa perguruan tinggi dan kontekstulisasi nilai-nilai agama dalam perkembangan sains dan teknologi di era multikultural seperti Indonesia. Adapun temuan peneletian ini adalah, bahwa Islam sebagai sebuah agama selalu menganjurkan umatnya untuk selalu berpandangan integratif. Sebab, antara agama dan sains tidak bersifat kontradiktif dan berlawanan, melainkan saling melengkapi. Cara pandang seperti ini, ternyata mampu membentuk karakter positif di kalangan mahasiswa perguruan tinggi di Jakarta, sebab bagi mereka agama dipandang sebagai pendorong bagi perkembangan ilmu penge­tahuan dan penemuan sains dan teknologi harus diselaraskan dengan nilai-nilai Islam, sehingga tidak tercerabut dari akar nilai-nilai agama yang luhur.

Abstract

Assistance to da'wah activities on an ongoing basis will provide a complete understanding of the year process and da'wah conveying religious teachings carried out by religious leaders as well as Ustadz and Ustadzah to instill moral values for today's Millennial young generation. The da'wah process is usually carried out with a well-organized plan to be carried out so that the pattern of teaching religious guidance can be understood by the Ummah and the community as well as Junior High School (SMP) students in the special Central Jakarta area and DKI Jakarta in general. Assistance by making systematic planning to change the perspective and insight of da'wah activists when providing an understanding of well-defined religious teachings. The mentoring process by making plans for da'wah activists consisting of Ustadz and Ustadzah, as well as Islamic Religious Education Teachers at the junior high school level by providing virtual training and providing direct training materials even with the implementation of strict Health Protocols so that they can be applied easily by them when doing da'wah activities to realize the values of religious teachings to the Ummah and Society, as well as junior high school students. The results of the mentoring and training turned out to have made da'wah activists have good insights and could be applied among the people and society, as well as junior high school students virtually due to the pandemic situation. Every mentoring process by making good plans is still carried out so that the da'wah orientation can provide a good understanding for the people and the community as well as junior high school students.

Abstract

This article describes that Islamic law doesn’t need formalizing into Pancasila because of the Indonesian condition that has many differences such as religion, culture, etc. But, on another side many policies that are established and applied in Indonesia result from the adaptation of Islamic law. One of the examples is Pancasila. It contains Islamic laws soul, for example, the first sila of Pancasila (Ketuhanan yang Maha Esa). That sila is the source of other sila in Pancasila. So, without the legitimation of Pancasila, Indonesian can apply syariat Islam in the Indonesian lifestyle. We hope to use our regulation to recover the law’s condition of Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi dan prioritas kebijakan pendidikan yang berjalan di Indonesia dalam menghadapi tantangan global sekarang ini. Pasca Pandemi COVID sembilan belas kebijakan pendidikan mengalami perubahan yang cenderung keluar dari cita-cita Pancasila dan UUD RI seribu sembilan ratus empat puluh lima. Kebijakan pendidikan tidak lagi mengarah pada pembentukan manusia seutuhnya, bahkan berorientasi pada berbagai hal yang bersifat pragmatis. Permasalahan ini menjadi perhatian utama peneliti saat melihat pendidikan menjadi proses yang melegitimasi ketimpangan yang terjadi pada berbagai sekolah SMA Swasta di kawasan DKI Jakarta. Metode penelitian kualitatif yang digunakan peneliti dengan fokus pada studi literatur terhadap berbagai kebijakan pendidikan yang diterapkan Pasca Pandemi COVID . Adapun sumber data utama pada penelitian ini berasal dari kebijakan pendidikan yang sedang berjalan di berbagai lembaga pendidikan, serta buku-buku yang membahas kebijakan pendidikan maupun topik-topik yang berkaitan erat dengan pembahasan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan yang berkembang dalam bidang manajemen pendidikan yaitu desentralisasi pendidikan, dalam bidang kurikulum yaitu kurikulum tingkat satuan pendidikan yang berbasis kompetensi atau KTSP, Kurikulum Merdeka dalam proses pembelajaran ada program percepatan belajar atau learning accelleration. Kebijakan-kebijakan baru ini perlu mendapat perhatian yang serius sampai pada tataran guru sebagai ujung tombak, terutama sistem pendidikan yang dikembangkan sekarang ini. Sistem pendidikan yang diartikan sebagai himpunan bagian atau komponen yang saling berhubungan secara teratur dan merupakan suatu keseluruhan. Kesimpulan yang dapat dikemukakan bahwa pendidikan pada hakikatnya adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta keterampilan yang diperlukan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara.

Abstract

The research was conducted by providing assistance to improve School Action Research (PTS) skills at the Permata Sari Foundation in Jakarta, which has approximately 30% of teachers with a pure science background, and 40% of young teachers have not received Teacher Professional Education (PPG). The condition of the teachers is a problem for the development of education at the foundation, so training is needed to conduct PTS. This assistance aims to provide knowledge and insight into 21st Century learning as a basis for teachers and Principals to plan PTS, so that they can improve the learning that is their responsibility. The assistance method is carried out by providing in-depth study of 21st Century learning materials, PTS theory, and providing guidance to teachers in planning PTS proposals. The assistance activities carried out by the Team from Indraprasta PGRI University were to increase insight and direct practice for teachers and Principals to prepare PTS Proposals. The assistance method was implemented by providing intensive training and practice in compiling PTS Proposals. The results of the study showed that teachers were able to plan PTS with the concept of 21st Century learning. There are five teachers who plan research in the realm of learning models, two teachers are interested in conducting PTS in the field of learning methods, two teachers plan PTS in improving learning media, and two teachers are interested in conducting action research in the field of attitudes and motivation. This study concludes that intensive and periodic mentoring with continued practice in a planned manner through online communication so that the PTS that have been made can be implemented by teachers and the Principal at the Permata Sari Foundation Jakarta, so that they can produce written works in the form of good articles.
