Abstract

This study aims to describe the procedure of pre-retirement training in a government agency’s education and training center. The research was conducted from August 2018 to January 2019 using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and verifcation. Investigation and checking the validity of data was performed through the stages of data credibility, transferability, dependability, and confrmability. The results show that pre-retirement training management in this center consisted of two stages; program and implementation planning. Program planning consists of analyzing the needs of prospective trainees and compiling a pre-retirement training program curriculum. Whereas for the implementation planning consists of determining working partners, place and date of the training.

Abstract

Lettuce (Lactusa sativa L.) is one of the vegetable commodities that can be grown in tropical and subtropical areas. This research was conducted in March-June at the Green House of FP.UTP. This study uses the factorial method with a completely randomized design (CRD), a factorial pattern consisting of two factors. 1) Use of a Pump (P0: Without a Water Pump (Aquarium Pump) and Air Pump (Aerator), P1: Using only a water pump, P2: Using only an air pump, P3: A combination of using a water pump and air pump. 2) use of planting media (S) Rockwool; cocopeat, moss, repeated three times. The results showed 1) Pump use treatment (P) had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf width (cm), fresh plant weight (g), dry weight plants (g), consumption weight (g), number of leaves consumed (strands), and root length (cm) on the growth of lettuce (Lactusa sativa L). 2) The treatment using media (S) had a very significant effect on the fresh weight parameters of the roots (g). It significantly affected the root volume parameters (mm) on the growth of lettuce (Lactusa sativa L). 3). The combination of pump and media treatment had a significant effect on the root volume parameter (mm) on the growth of lettuce (Lactusa sativa L). 4). The best result, namely the consumption weight, was achieved in the P3S2 treatment (Combination of treatment using a pump and cocopeat media) with a value of 119.33 g.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan diksi  dan makna diksi pada cerpen siswa kelas IX SMPN 4 Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah : (1) wawancara, (2) observasi, (3) dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan diksi yang ditemukan penulis dalam cerpen siswa yaitu, berdasarkan ketepatan pilihan kata diksi yang ditemukan ada kata umum dan kata khusus. Berdasarkan kesesuaian pilihan kata yang ditemukan ada kata populer. Berdasarkan struktur leksikal diksi yang ditemukan ada dua yaitu, kata berantonim dan kata bersinonim. Sedangkan makna diksi yang ditemukan penulis ada tujuh makna antara lain, makana denotasi, makna konotasi, makna leksikal, makna gramatikal, makna referensial, makna nonreferensial, dan makna idiomatikal.  Dapat disimpulkan secara keseluruhan diksi yang digunakan oleh siswa sudah beragam atau sudah bervariatif tetapi belum terlalu merarik karena diksi yang digunakan oleh siswa dan ditemukan oleh penulis dalam cerpen  dominan menggunakan diksi secra umum pada tulisan karya ilmiah bukan diksi yang khas dengan penulisan karya fiksi atau cerpen , sehingga cerpen yang dibuat oleh siswa terkesan monoton dan membosankan.

Abstract

Abstract SMP Labschool Jakarta in the 2023-2024 school year has a total of 684 students from various races, ethnicities, cultures, and religions. Life at SMP Labschool Jakarta is colored by the diversity of students who come from various ethnic, cultural, and regional backgrounds such as Javanese, Sundanese, Betawi, and Batak. In addition, there are various religious backgrounds embraced by students, including Hinduism, Christianity, Catholicism, and the majority of Muslims. This diversity requires serious efforts for educators to maintain harmony in differences and show the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Multicultural education is essential to reduce conflicts arising from these differences and form a character that is open to differences. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to explore the application of multicultural education in SMP Labschool Jakarta. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study show that SMP Labschool Jakarta shows its commitment to multicultural education by designing an inclusive curriculum that is oriented towards national values and justice. This approach is expected to create an inclusive environment and respect diversity, so that multicultural education becomes an integral part of the teaching and learning process in school life.

Abstract

Kompetensi Kepala Sekolah adalah keterampilan dan perilaku Kepala Sekolah yang berkontribusi pada kinerja yang unggul. Era Society 5.0 adalah era diimana seseorang dapat menyelesaikan berbagai tantangan dan permasalahan dengan memanfaatkan berbagai inovasi yang lahir di era Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan berpusat di teknologi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu menyelesaikan masalah terkait kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam melakukan pengembangan atau perbaikan sekolah yang perlu dilakukan secara ilmiah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang akan dilakukan yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil capaian PKM ini yaitu peningkatan kompetensi kepala sekolah dalam merancang penelitian tindakan sekolah guna mewujudkan keunggulan sekolah di era Society 5.0.

Abstract

Perangkat akreditasi adalah alat atau panduan yang digunakan dalam akreditasi yang mengacu pada standar nasional pendidikan tinggi. Dalam pengembangan kriteria akreditasi, SN-Dikti dijadikan sebagai acuan utama. Manajemen Sekolah merupakan suatu kegiatan yang dilakukan secara efektif dan efisien untuk meningkatkan kinerja sekolah dalam pencapaian tujuan pendidikan baik tujuan nasional dan tujuan kelembagaan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu menyelesaikan masalah terkait kemampuan kepala sekolah dan guru di dalam mempersiapkan perangkat akreditasi dan Manajemen Sekolah agar Supaya sekolah mempunyai kesiapan dan kelengkapan Perangkat akreditasi yang dimaksud dan berdampak meningkat kualitas. Metode yang digunakan adalah Diskusi Terpumpun atau Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dilanjutkan dengan workshop oleh peserta. Hasil akhir kegiatan pengabdian Kepada masyarakat ini peserta mampu menghasilkan atau mampu menyusun Perangkat akreditasi satuan pendidikan jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas.

Abstract

The quality of education, based on the results of the PISA study, shows a lag compared to other countries. Efforts to improve this quality through the National Assessment (AN) program still need to overcome various obstacles, especially in implementation and follow-up. This study aims to evaluate strategies to optimize AN implementation, identify solutions to the challenges faced, explore school programs that support students facing AN, and analyze school follow-up on AN results. This study used a qualitative approach with an evaluative descriptive design. The research subjects comprised teachers, principals, and vice principals, as well as 15 students from various levels taken as samples to represent the school population. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation using instruments like interview guidelines and observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing techniques, with triangulation of methods and sources as data validation. The results showed that AN optimization strategies include strategic planning, improving teacher competence, and utilizing digital technology. Solutions for implementation constraints include improving infrastructure and intensive training for teachers. School programs that support students include intensive guidance and assessment simulations. In conclusion, AN can be optimized by strengthening planning, training, and technical support. The implication of this research is the need for sustainable policies to improve the readiness of schools and teachers to face AN.

Abstract

The government launched a school literacy program at the education level to increase students' interest in reading and writing. This study was conducted to analyze how the literacy program works. This research is using CIPP evaluation model. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with an evaluation research design by conducting observations, interviews, and examining program implementation documents. Sources of information were obtained through interviews with principals, educators, and students. The research results on the context component show that the CIPP of the School Literacy Movement of senior high school was successfully implemented. The literacy program is implemented with stages 1) Habituation of reading non-lesson books for 15 minutes before learning begins. 2) Learning with foreign language book reading activities, be it English, French, and Japanese books. 3) Development by requiring grade XII students to write a novel with a target of 1 school year which will be printed in April. These three stages follow the School Literacy Movement (GLS) guidelines.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkarakterisasi jenis-jenis campur kode yang terjadi dalam bahasa daerah Indonesia dan alasan-alasan yang menyebabkan terjadinya campur kode tersebut yang terjadi di lingkungan SMA Negeri 6 Seluma. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif. Metode observasi, pencatatan, pencatatan, dan wawancara digunakan dalam proses pengumpulan data penelitian ini. Mentranskripsikan data, mengidentifikasi data, mengkategorikan data, menafsirkan data, dan menarik kesimpulan adalah prosedur yang dilakukan dalam analisis data penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya bentuk terjadi campur kode bahasa daerah yaitu Bahasa Jawa dan Serawai. Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Serawai dicampurkan di SMA Negeri 6 Seluma melalui penggunaan kata, frasa, pengulangan kata, dan taktik menakut-nakuti. Di SMA Negeri 6 Seluma, bahasa Jawa dan bahasa Indonesia dicampurkan melalui kata, frasa, dan pengulangan kata. Di SMA Negeri 6 Seluma, faktor-faktor seperti 1) lawan bicara, 2) lokasi diskusi, 3) gaya percakapan, 4) subjek, dan 5) modus percakapan semuanya dapat menyebabkan terjadinya campur kode ketika berbicara dalam bahasa Indonesia, dan 5) hadirnya penutur ketiga.

Abstract

The role and participation of the school community are pivotal elements in fostering an Adiwiyata School culture based on environmental awareness values. This study aims to describe the roles and participation of the school community in implementing environmental awareness values to establish a sustainable Adiwiyata School culture. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, involving teachers, staff, students, and parents as research subjects. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and document analysis. The findings reveal that the school community successfully supports the implementation of environmental awareness values through various initiatives, such as eco-friendly habits, green infrastructure development, and the integration of environmental awareness values into the curriculum. Active parental participation, combined with proactive efforts from school principals and teachers, emerged as key factors in the program’s success, despite the presence of some challenges. Evaluations conducted by the Environmental Agency and Adiwiyata Task Force members demonstrated the program’s effectiveness in adhering to Adiwiyata standards. These findings reflect the school’s commitment to sustainable environmental education. In conclusion, the roles and participation of the entire school community in implementing environmental awareness values have successfully built a strong, effective, and sustainable Adiwiyata School culture.
