Abstract

Stunting is a health problem characterized by disrupted growth conditions in toddlers due to a lack of nutritional intake over a long period of time, starting in the womb until the child is two years old. Stunting causes children to be short in stature and is at risk of causing problems with motor and mental development. In Cilacap Regency, the prevalence of stunting reached 32.1%, above the national figure and the limit set by WHO. Therefore, accelerating stunting reduction is carried out through a holistic, integrative and multisector approach. One of the efforts made is the development of an information system to comprehensively monitor and prevent stunting, including a diagnostic model that involves various health parameters.

Abstract

Background: Infection control in radiography is carried out by wrapping tapes and radiograph equipment using polyethylene plastic bags. Existing conditions in the hospital require at least 1 to 2 layers of plastic for each radiography in patients with a history of infectious diseases. The use of plastic causes the amount of infectious plastic waste to be increased. Therefore, an alternative is needed to use acrylic mica material that can be used repeatedly and is environmentally friendly as a replacement for plastic bags. Methods: This research design is a Research and Development (RnD) study with the ADDIE model which is carried out with five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection method is carried out by observation, testing the function of the tool, and then the data is processed and analyzed by criticizing the results of radiographic image quality using ImageJ software. Results: Four sizes of precision radiographic cassette coating have been produced with four radiographic cassette sizes. The average decrease in the mean number is 1.07%.Conclusion: The radiograph quality from using acrylic mica cassette coatings in radiograph examinations can still produce good quality radiographs based on the results of histogram graph analysis which produces graphs that have a similar shape between those without using cassette coatings and those with cassette coatings.

Abstract

Underage marriage remains a serious challenge in many countries, including Indonesia, where it is complicated by the intersection of legal regulations and customary norms. In Lingsar District, this practice persists through the Merarik kodeq tradition, which is deeply embedded in local culture. Within this context, this study aims to explain the implementation of the Gerakan Anti-Merarik Kodeq (GAMAK) as a community-based prevention strategy and to analyze it through the framework of Maqasid al-Shariah. This qualitative research employed a fieldwork-based approach using methods such as observation, in-depth interviews with 14 key informants, and document analysis conducted over a seven-month period from March to September 2022. The findings reveal that GAMAK is not merely a technocratic policy but has evolved into a transformative social movement that redefines the relationship between custom, religion, and the state. Unlike legal-formal approaches, GAMAK successfully presents an alternative narrative that positions religious and customary leaders not as opponents of the law, but as agents of change who reform local values from within. By embedding anti-underage marriage messages in Friday sermons, women's forums (PKK), and even in village awiq-awiq (customary regulations), GAMAK demonstrates that collective behavioral change can be achieved through grounded and contextual approaches. Viewed through the lens of Maqasid al-Shariah, GAMAK upholds the protection of the five essential principles of Islamic law—religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property—while opening space for negotiation between customary norms and Islamic law in favor of public welfare. The findings show that preventing underage marriage requires transforming entrenched customary norms through collaboration between community leaders, religious authorities, and state institutions. This study contributes to the discourse on legal pluralism and Maqasid al-Shariah in child protection, while offering a practical model for policymakers to replicate in regions with strong customary traditions.

Abstract

This study highlights the ideal ratio between the number of lecturers and students in Islamic Education classes at the Faculty of Economics, Udayana University, Bali. With only one lecturer teaching 200 students, this imbalance is a significant concern, especially amidst worries about the spread of extremism and exclusivism on campus. The research aims to evaluate the learning process, religious moderation attitudes among lecturers and students, and factors influencing religious moderation attitudes among students. Using a qualitative descriptive method and a case study design, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the ratio of Islamic Education lecturers to students does not meet government standards, despite the implementation of various teaching methods. Nevertheless, attitudes towards religious moderation are generally positive, although there are indications of a lack of moderation among some students. Internal and external factors were identified as influencing factors on religious moderation attitudes. These findings emphasize the need for ongoing efforts to improve the quality of Islamic Education learning through enhancing lecturer competencies and implementing programs to strengthen religious moderation in higher education, aiming to promote tolerance and reinforce religious moderation among students.

Abstract

Medial Temporal Atrophy (MTA) is a key biomarker in the early diagnosis of dementia. However, its assessment through manual inspection of MRI scans is subjective, time-consuming, and prone to inter-observer variability. This creates the need for automated systems that can provide accurate, consistent, and clinically interpretable evaluations. This study aims to develop a hybrid deep learning framework that integrates U-Net with a ResNet-50 backbone for simultaneous hippocampal segmentation and MTA grading, thereby reducing diagnostic subjectivity and bridging the gap between image processing and clinical interpretation. The main contribution of this work lies in the dual functionality of the proposed architecture: not only producing precise segmentation masks of the hippocampal region but also classifying the degree of atrophy into MTA scores (0–4), which previous studies on hippocampal segmentation have not addressed. The proposed method employs a U-Net for pixel-level segmentation, enhanced with a ResNet-50 backbone to stabilize gradient propagation and enrich feature representation during encoding. Results demonstrated excellent performance, achieving a training accuracy of 99.9% with strong convergence between training and validation curves. On a test set of 32 coronal MRI slices, the model correctly classified 26 samples, misclassifying only 6. Overall, the proposed U-Net with ResNet-50 backbone provides an accurate and reliable end-to-end solution for hippocampal segmentation and MTA grading. Its clinical performance demonstrates parity with expert radiologists, underscoring its potential as a decision-support tool in dementia diagnosis. Future work will focus on extending this framework to 3D U-Net architectures, enabling the integration of volumetric MRI features to enhance robustness and generalizability across diverse datasets further
