Abstract

Land disputes are a complicated problem in legal handling to provide a sense of justice to the community. Land disputes conflict between communities and agribusiness companies, communities and local governments and even between communities themselves. There are still very few resolutions of land disputes that approach the restorative justice process, all through trial and judicial processes which require a lot of money, time and energy. The counseling provided by STIK PTIK will provide new knowledge about resolving land disputes outside of court. This counseling is aimed at investigators and law enforcement, namely East Tanjung Jabung police staff. That's not all, counseling is given to local governments and related agencies regarding land dispute resolution cases. The counseling was enthusiastically welcomed by the participants with a breakthrough in law enforcement with a win-win solution orientation by mediating and negotiating the resolution. The local genius approach makes community participation very important in this case.

Abstract

Sex abused and pornography crimes are an emergency in a number of places in Indonesia and the victims are teenagers and children. It is acknowledged that teenagers and children are very vulnerable and weak in carrying out resistance, especially since it is known that the crime actor are adults who have strong power. Bengkulu, as an land dominated by plantations, agriculture and fisheries, has the potential for this crime to occur, and usually the victims will remain silent and do not dare report it to the polices. Beside it, cases are resolved using compensation and village customary law, not the positive law of the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, this community service activity discusses socialization to anticipate the prevention of crimes of sex abused and pornography. The community service method involves conducting outreach, information and FGD to find out the dominant factors that cause this sex abused to exist. Activities were carried out at the North Bengkulu Police Station by providing counseling to high school and vocational high school students. In-depth FGDs were carried out with members of the North Bengkulu Police Unit, related Local Government Services, victims, perpetrators and also traditional and religious leaders. The findings show that many parties do not understand the forms and types of sex abused and pornography that exist. Likewise with the legalistic rules related to this. Insufficient socialization and non-synergistic handling between relevant stakeholders has caused this sex abused to increase. The influence of social media and gadgets also influences this deviant behavior in North Bengkulu.

Abstract

Crimes in the cyber world have developed significantly over time. The Indonesian government issued Law No. 11 of 2008 to regulate this. It covers crimes ranging from electronic transaction fraud, hoaxes, hate speech, online pornography, to cyberbullying. This article explains socialization campaign activities related to the implementation of the ITE Law in human life. Many people have not yet understood the legal aspects and reportable offenses that can be taken action against when there is deviant behavior in the use of internet networks. This community service uses outreach methods and information sharing with all parties within the BP Batam environment in the Riau Islands and the jurisdiction of the Riau Islands Police. The results indicate that it is indeed necessary to conduct hands-on practice in understanding misleading narrative content that sometimes triggers sensitive issues in the community, in an effort to strengthen social interactions between the community and the police. As a result, the synergy between the police and the community can be applied in the field. Therefore, there is a need for outreach and socialization regarding the world of cybercrime in society.

Abstract

This article examines how mediated visibility reconfigures police oversight and accountability in Indonesia by treating reality police shows as an empirical arena. This study uses a qualitative–analytical design integrating semi-structured interviews with key institutional actors (Indonesian National Police/POLRI, media practitioners, and broadcast regulators), observational analysis of televised police representations and the digital recirculation, and document analysis of relevant governance and communication frameworks. The findings show that formal oversight mechanisms within Polri and state-based supervisory arrangements tend to operate reactively and with temporal delay when faced with fast-moving, visually driven public scrutiny. In this gap, media platforms, through televised programs and fragmented online circulation, function as a dominant informal overseer that shapes public judgments through visibility management, framing, and affective resonance. These dynamics generate an asymmetrical layered accountability regime, in which symbolic accountability formed in the media arena frequently precedes and constrains the operation of formal accountability processes. The article further identifies a condition of dual accountability that produces a structural dilemma for the Public Relations Division of POLRI (Divhumas), which must uphold law-based procedural legitimacy while simultaneously responding to media-generated demands for symbolic legitimacy. Limited post-production evaluation, weak coordination across the production cycle, and crisis-oriented communication approaches shift meaning-making power toward media actors and audiences, increasing institutional vulnerability to representational distortion. The article contributes to Police Science by conceptualizing accountability as a cross-arena governance process and by outlining policy implications for strategic visibility management, preventive representational oversight, and early-warning monitoring of legitimacy risk under conditions of mediated policing.
