Abstract

This article is about the main theoretical framework adopted in the analysis of, especially, pronunciation errors. Such theories as Contrastive Analysis Hypothesis, Error Analysis, Language Universals, and Markedness Differential Hypothesis, all of which are interlingual suggest that interlingual differences as well as similarities create pronunciation problems. In this work, several types of errors as postulated by many scholars are presented to intricate with the theories being discussed. Note that first, according to the scholars, not all points of difference between the linguistic structures of L 1 (first language) and L2 (second language) create the same extent of errors. Divergent contrasts (dissimilarities) seem to be more readily acquired than convergent contrasts (similarities). Contrastive analyses are of two versions, strong and weak. Second, in general, cross-linguistic differences, regardless of the error type, should not necessarily hinder learning as long as enough explicit instruction and sufficient exposure to target-like pronunciation are provided.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of Technology 5.0 has revolutionized agriculture through microcontroller-based sensor systems that provide real-time climate monitoring. However, a persistent gap exists between these technological advancements and the traditional farming practices of culturally rooted communities, such as those in Cilacap Regency, Indonesia, who continue to rely on indigenous knowledge and customary leaders for agricultural decision-making. To address this disconnect, this study introduces the novel Agroclimatic Caping device, designed to harmonize modern agroclimatology technology with local wisdom. The research aims to develop and implement an IoT-based agroclimatic monitoring system using the Research and Development (R&D) method, integrating ESP8266, BME680 sensors, Blynk application, and AI-powered processing. The system delivers real-time data—including humidity, temperature, air pressure, dew point, and gas concentration—directly to farmers’ smartphones and supports decision-making through AI chatbots. This innovation promotes sustainable agricultural productivity while preserving cultural traditions, offering a replicable model for technology adoption in rural communities.

Abstract

Abstract

The Nusatembini Kingdom on Nusakambangan Island is portrayed as a mythical kingdom because its existence is difficult to prove, but it is believed to exist, even appearing in the Babad Pasir Luhur. PT KAI once planned to launch the Nusa Tembini train route from Cilacap to Yogyakarta, but it was later canceled and renamed the Joglosemarkerto train. The Tourism Office once named a beach destination in the village of Tegalkamulyan as Nusatembini Beach, but it was soon dismantled and renamed Tegalkamulyan Beach. The existence of the Nusatembini Kingdom has raised a number of research issues, particularly regarding the historical accuracy and identity of the kingdom. This study aims to describe the factors that encourage people to believe in the existence of the Nusatembini Kingdom. Controversy has arisen due to the lack of consistent historical evidence, varying perceptions between believers and the general public, and diverse responses in the media. As a result, there are research problems surrounding a lack of understanding of the factors influencing this belief, including cultural, local historical, social dynamics, and collective community perceptions. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis with reduction, data presentation, interpretation, triangulation, and conclusion drawing. The mythology of the Nusatembini Kingdom is closely related to the history of the Pasirluhur and Pajajaran Kingdoms. Although there is no evidence of its existence, it is recorded in the Babad Pasirluhur. There is controversy among the people of Cilacap regarding the Nusatembini Kingdom. Some believe it to be a mythical kingdom, while others say that the Nusatembini Kingdom is just a fairy tale or legend, but still others believe that the Nusatembini Kingdom did indeed exist. Prabu Pulebahas' defeat of the Pasirluhur and Pajajaran kingdoms led them to create a negative image of the Nusatembini Kingdom, spreading the story that Nusatembini was a supernatural kingdom. In fact, the Nusatembini Kingdom really did exist. Prabu Pulebahas was known as a courageous man. The negative perception of Nusatembini as a supernatural kingdom led to it being regarded only as a legend. However, the elders' rejection of the naming of Tegalkamulyan Beach as Nusatembini Beach because the location of the Nusatembini Kingdom was not there, but on the southern coast of Cilacap city or on Nusakambangan Island, is strong evidence of the existence of the Nusatembini Kingdom in the past. Thus, the people of Cilacap, especially the older generation, still believe in the existence of the Nusatembini Kingdom.

Abstract

This study examines a conceptual comparison between the idea of Gender Equality, as formulated by Nasaruddin Umar, and Gender Harmony, as articulated by Henri Shalahuddin, within contemporary Indonesian Islamic thought. Both scholars share the same moral vision—to uphold justice and combat gender-based discrimination—yet differ fundamentally in their epistemological and methodological approaches to Islamic teachings. This research uses a qualitative, descriptive, and critical-comparative approach to analyze the primary works of both figures through textual and conceptual study. Nasaruddin Umar represents a reformist-egalitarian paradigm that employs Tawḥīd and Maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah as corrective principles against patriarchal interpretations, emphasizing Qirā’ah Mubādalah to highlight moral and spiritual equality between men and women. Conversely, Henri Shalahuddin stands on a textual-normative foundation that regards revelation (Naṣṣ) and biological nature (fiṭrah) as absolute boundaries, rejecting the notion of absolute equality while proposing Gender Harmony and Mīthāqan Ghalīẓa as the basis for a balanced and just distribution of roles. The findings reveal that both thinkers represent complementary paradigms: Umar focuses on contextual transformation and social justice, while Shalahuddin emphasizes moral stability and natural balance. This dialectic illustrates the dynamic efforts of Indonesian Islamic thought to reconcile modernity and orthodoxy in addressing gender issues.  Keywords: Gender Equality; Gender Harmony; Nasaruddin Umar; Henri Shalahuddin; Islamic Gender Thought.

Abstract

The Qur'an for Muslims is not merely a holy book to be read, but a guide to life whose authenticity is preserved through the tradition of memorisation (tahfidz). This tradition has been practised since the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW until today. Instilling a love for and ability to memorise (Zulfikar, 2024). The Talaqqi method is a memorisation technique that has been used since the time of the Prophet and remains relevant today. This approach brings teachers and students together and encourages active interaction during the process of memorising the Qur'an (Nurzulaikha, 2019). Memorising the Qur'an at an early age can have a significant impact on the lives of Muslims. Every child is unique and has a different learning speed, so there is no need to compare the abilities of one child with another (Suma'at, Rahendra Maya, 2020). Early childhood is a very important period in an individual's development. This period is marked by the emergence of all the crucial phases that form the basis of a person's life until the next stage of development (Lukman & Mulyati, 2021). Early childhood is the most important period to begin memorising the Qur'an (Ainia et al., 2021). In children's learning development, parenting and the role of parents are very important in nurturing children's potential, advancing the quality of early childhood education, and supporting children's growth to the maximum. (Rijkiyani, 2022). Teachers or educators have a very strategic and central position in educational activities. They require intelligence, maturity, moral integrity, sincerity, and much more. Given the importance of the position of teachers or educators in carrying out their duties of educating and teaching students, it is necessary to understand the role of teachers in the perspective of Islamic education in order to obtain a comprehensive picture of the importance of the duties of a teacher, teacher competence, and the characteristics that a teacher must possess. (Nashihin, 2021). Success in memorising the Qur'an at an early age is not merely the result of repetition techniques, but the fruit of the guidance of an expert teacher who has mature knowledge and experience. Expert teachers ensure that children do not memorise because of pressure, but because of love (Mahabbah), so that the Qur'an becomes an identity that remains with them until the end of their lives. This study proves that the ‘Talaqqi’ method is very effective for young children. This method successfully maintains a close relationship between children and teachers and students, so that children can learn enthusiastically and with love for the Qur'an.
