Abstract

Polymer insulators tend to fail because of the climatic and environmental conditions. The failure occurs when the surface of insulator is contaminated by sea salt or cement dust which lead to partial discharge (PD). Leakage currents will increase by PD that causes deterioration of insulation. To predict the insulation failures, an  adaptive neurofuzzy inference system (ANFIS) method using initial color detection processes are proposed to estimate the leakage currents based on the polymer insulator thermal images (infrared signature). In this study, the sodium chloride and kaolin are used as pollutants of the polymer insulator according to IEC 60507 standards. Then, the insulator is tested in the laboratory using AC high voltage applied at 18 kV where the temperature detection is controlled at 26° C and 70% RH (relative humidity). The percentage of colors (Red, Yellow, and Blue) from the thermal image is measured using the color detection method. Correspond to the color percentage, the ANFIS method predicts leakage currents from polymer insulators. Furthermore, this system interprets measured data from insulators that need to be categorized as Safe, Need Maintenance or Harmful. The final application of the system can be a non-contact tool to predict the polymer insulators used by technicians in the field.

Abstract

Nagari/Desa Koto Gadang merupakan salah satu nagari yang berada di Kecamatan IV Koto Kabupaten Agam Sumatera Barat. Dulu Nagari ini begitu terkenal dan ramai dikunjungi wisatawan. Wisatawan-wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Kota Bukittinggi akan selalu mampir ke Nagari ini yang punya daya tarik wisata sejarah, yaitu tempat kelahiran beberapa tokoh nasional yang berpengaruh di Indonesia. Namun saat ini, Nagari ini sudah jarang dikunjungi wisatawan, sehingga Nagari ini menjadi sepi. Untuk itu, satu usaha untuk menarik wisatawan telah dilakukan, yaitu menyebarkan informasi potensi Nagari Koto Gadang ini sebagai tempat wisata sejarah melalui internet dalam bentuk pembangunan dan penerapan aplikasi Geographic Information System (GIS). Paper ini melaporkan pembangunan dan penerapan aplikasi GIS itu sebagai satu luaran penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat di Nagari Koto Gadang. Tujuan penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membangun dan menerapkan Aplikasi GIS Nagari Koto Gadang : Tempat Kelahiran Tokoh Nasional. Aplikasi GIS ini dibangun dengan menggunakan metode waterfall yang terdiri dari tahapan analisis, perancangan, pengkodean dan pengujian. Bahasa pemrograman PHP dan Javascript digunakan untuk membangun aplikasi web GIS. PostgreSQL dengan ekstensi PostGIS digunakan sebagai basis data. Aplikasi GIS yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat ini diuji dengan menggunakan metode pengujian kotak hitam dan data pariwisata Nagari Koto Gadang. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi GIS yang dibangun dan diterapkan itu telah sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan.

Abstract

Microorganisms such as Escherichia coli in water are a component that is difficult to remove in conventional water treatment systems. Several systems have been implemented to reduce levels of microorganisms is the use of disinfectants, the membrane filtration and activated carbon absorption. These systems have several weaknesses, so that not all microorganisms can be removed from drinking water. The plasma system is an applicable technology for removing organic compounds and microorganisms in drinking water. By creating plasma in water will produce several of active species such as OH-, H+, O3 and H2O2 that has a high oxidation potential, decompose organic compounds and kill microorganisms in the water significantly. This paper will describe the removal of microorganisms in drinking water using a plasma system by the method of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD ). The results howed that the pH of drinking water produced in the range 6.5 to 7.3. The higher voltage causes the higher the conductivity, temperature and ORP water. Removal efficiency for the content of microorganisms Coli Fecal and Coliform in the range 99.2 to 100% after water was injected voltage of 13-17 kV for 10 minutes.

Abstract

Adapun masalah pada kelompok Budidaya Jamur Tiram di KWT Jawa Gadut Saiyo Limau Manis Pauh Kota Padang yaitu harus menjaga suhu dan kelembaban, secara langsung dan terus menerus agar jamur tiram di kumbung berkembang dengan baik. Selain itu juga permasalahan dalam pengisian baglog yang butuh waktu dan tenaga ekstra serta mesin kukus yang masih sederhana. Untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut maka diperlukan penerapan teknologi pada usaha budidaya jamur tiram untuk mendukung urban farming dalam hal sistem otomatisasi meliputi aspek suhu dan kelembaban; alat press baglog; wadah kukus baglog; serta sistem monitoring kumbung secara jarak jauh. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu kelembaban secara otomatis dalam rentang kisaran 80% s/d 92% dan suhu rentang 25oC s/d 29oC. Pembuatan baglog lebih ringan dan hasilnya lebih padat serta hanya membutuhkan waktu 1 menit / baglog. Dan wadah kukus baglog lebih praktis berbentuk lemari yang berkapasitas maksimal 144 baglog. Kata kunci: suhu, kelembaban, baglog, kumbung, monitoring ABSTRACT As for the problem in the Cultivation group Oyster Mushrooms in KWT Jawa Gadut Saiyo Limau Manis Pauh, Padang City, that is, they must maintain temperature and humidity, directly and continuously so that the oyster mushrooms in the kumbung develop properly. Apart from that, there are also problems in filling baglog which requires extra time and effort and the steaming machine is still simple. To solve this problem, it is necessary to apply technology to oyster mushroom cultivation to support urban farming in terms of automation systems covering aspects of temperature and humidity; baglog presses; baglog steam container; as well as remote kumbung monitoring system. The results obtained are humidity automatically in the range of 80% to 92% and temperatures in the range of 25oC to 29 oC. Making baglog is lighter and the results are denser and only takes 1 minute/baglog. And the baglog steamer is more practical in the form of a cupboard with a maximum capacity of 144 baglog. Abstract

Leakage current measurements can be used to determine the aging condition of the ZnO arrester. The leakage current that occurs in the arrester is divided into two, namely external and internal leakage currents. The external leakage current is affected by contamination and the internal leakage current is affected by the aging of the varistor in the arrester. The external and internal leakage currents are measured separately to determine their contribution to the arrester condition. In this study, the effect of salt contamination on the arrester was studied further. The level of contamination used consisted of low, medium and heavy. The obtained leakage current is analyzed using wavelet energy. The results of this study indicate that the wavelet energy of each leakage current is different and can be used as an indicator in further analysis. The conclusion obtained is that the external leakage current is affected by contamination and has a different energy with the internal leakage current due to aging of the varistor arrester components.

Abstract

Energi listrik adalah salah satu kebutuhan utama bagi usaha pertanian hidroponik. Mereka butuh untuk mengalirkan nutrisi tanaman melalui air secara terus-menerus menggunakan pompa. Jika sumber energi listrik terputus, maka akan menyebabkan tanaman tidak tumbuh sempurna. Oleh karena itu, pada kegiatan ini dilakukan penerapan sel surya sebagai energi listrik alternatif pada mitra pengabdian Alfi Hidroponik. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan merancang kebutuhan sel surya pada usaha hidroponik. Batrai Aki 40 Ah dapat menjadi sumber energi listrik bagi usaha mitra yang kebutuhan dayanya 85 watt selama minimal 10 jam. Selain penerapan sel surya, pada pengabdian ini juga dikembangkan beberapa sensor untuk memonitor suhu dan kelembaban lahan pertahian. Kegiatan ini dapat menjawab kebutuhan mitra dan masih diperlukan penerapan teknologi lainnya pada usaha hidroponik untuk optimalisasi produksi mitra.
