Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia has become the 3rd ranked country with the highest number of active smokers at 61.4 million after China and India. Cigarettes are an addictive substance that causes withdrawal syndrome or addiction both physiologically and psychologically which causes a decline in a person's mental health and quality of health. This study aims to determine the difference in pulse frequency in male tobacco smokers and non-smokers aged 20-60 years. The research was conducted on 60 people in Barembeng Village, Gowa Regency. Data collection using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square Test. The results of this study showed that the largest number of respondents were respondents who did not smoke and had a normal pulse, 22 people (36.07%) and respondents who actively smoked and had a bradycardic pulse, 6 people (10%), respondents who actively smoked and 5 people (8.30%) had normal pulses, 14 people (23.30%) actively smoked and had tachycardic pulses. Respondents who did not smoke and had a bradycardic pulse were 6 people (10%), and respondents who did not smoke and had a tachycardic pulse were 7 people (11.70%). The results of the correlation test obtained a value of p = 0.003, which shows that there is a relationship between smoking and pulse rate in male tobacco smokers and non-smokers aged 20-60 years.

Abstract

Stunting is still a nutritional problem in Indonesia, including in South Sulawesi. The impact of stunting is very broad, starting from the individual, family, community, and country levels. This study aims to analyze the risk factors for stunting incidents in the Embo District Health Center Work Area, Jeneponto. The type of research used in this research is observational with a "Case-Control Study" (case-control) approach, namely the status of the research design carried out by identifying subjects in the form of cases, using primary data through interviews with questionnaires. The variables studied included maternal education, birth weight, birth length, and exclusive breastfeeding. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The number of samples in this study was 136 samples which included 68 case groups and 68 control groups. The results of the study showed that the variables that were risk factors for stunting were maternal education (OR= 9.758), birth weight (OR= 5.590), body length (OR= 8.065), and exclusive breastfeeding (OR= 4.286). Therefore, efforts are needed to increase the knowledge of every prospective mother by providing education on nutritional requirements for pregnant women so that they can prevent low birth weight and short birth length as well as postpartum education for exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Health services have an important role in the implementation of health services in hospitals as a whole, especially nursing. Health services are considered good if the health services can create a feeling of satisfaction for each patient. Achieving a level of satisfaction with the services provided to patients, both the quality of health services and the health service system, means that patients will prefer quality health services that are quality, guaranteed, and affordable to patients, or in other words, consumers are one of the most important factors in achieving the level of satisfaction in a health service. This research aims to analyze the quality of health services on the satisfaction of outpatients at Kolonodale Hospital, North Morowali Regency. This research is a quantitative study that uses an analytical survey research method with a "cross-sectional study" design approach, sampling by accidental sampling with a sample size of 50 respondents taken from outpatients at the polyclinic. The instrument used was a test developed using a Likert scale, the data obtained was analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistical analysis, namely the chy square test with a significance level of 5 percent. The results of the research showed tangible values (p=0.000), reliability (p=0.000), responsiveness (p=0.000), assurance (p=0.000), and empathy (p=0.000) because the value ρ<α (0.05) so it can be said that there is a relationship between tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy on outpatient satisfaction in Kolonodale Regional Hospital, North Morowali Regency. Tangible and empathy variables have the strongest level of relationship with patient satisfaction. So it would be better for the hospital to provide a suggestion box, so that input from patients can be conveyed and can help improve the quality of the hospital in the future.

Abstract

Local wisdom-based ecopreneurship focuses on sustainability and environmental preservation, offering midwives the opportunity to utilize local natural resources efficiently while preserving social and cultural values. In South Sulawesi, integrating ecopreneurship into midwifery education remains underexplored. This study evaluates the effectiveness of the "Bidan Elok" E-Learning platform in enhancing midwifery students ecopreneurship competency, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (Quality Education) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). A One Group Pre-Test and Post-Test design was conducted with 150 midwifery students from Gowa, Makassar, Parepare, and Palopo. The study measured competency changes before and after using local wisdom-based learning media. Results indicated a significant improvement, with average scores increasing from 58.4 (pre-test) to 82.6 (post-test). Effectiveness varied by work experience, with the highest N-Gain score (0.72) in the 0-5 years experience group and the lowest (0.60) in the 15-20 years group. E-Learning media integrated with local wisdom values effectively enhanced students ecopreneurship competency. However, more adaptive approaches are needed for students with longer work experience. This study recommends further development of technology and culture-based learning methods to strengthen ecopreneurship competency in midwifery education and support SDG achievement.
