Abstract

This research proposes a modification of the Playfair Cipher algorithm with a 12×8 matrix to improve data security. This method expands the key space to 96 by adding characters (letters, numbers, symbols), thereby increasing resistance to brute-force attacks and frequency analysis. Test results show that the resulting ciphertext has high entropy with an even character distribution, and an average encryption time of 0.15 seconds per 1,000 characters. Security analysis proves that the 12×8 matrix requires >10¹⁰⁰ years to be computationally cracked, significantly more secure than the 5×5 matrix. Despite the higher resource requirements, this algorithm remains efficient for applications such as sensitive data storage and encrypted communications. In conclusion, this modification offers significant security improvements without drastically sacrificing performance.

Abstract

Home Industry Tegar Jaya is one of the home industries that are included in the category of small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which are engaged in the production of opaque. The high customer interest in opak makes Tegar Jaya Home Industries continue to improve their products, Tegar Jaya Home Industries often have difficulty determining the amount of production due to the uncertain number of requests that sometimes go up and down every month. This is also influenced by the COVID-19 virus pandemic, where the community's economy has made market demand unstable and fluctuating, demand can increase quite high and also experience a drastic decline. Therefore it is necessary to have a system that can determine the amount of production in order to minimize losses to the industry. The system is built using the PHP and MySQL programming languages. In the calculation process, the data taken is data in April 2022, namely 4325 kg of demand and 560 kg of supply, so that by using the Fuzzy Tsukamoto process, the calculation results of 3958 kg of opaque must be produced by the industry. The system that is built can run well and is very effective for the industry to determine the amount of production that is even better.

Abstract

Dalam konteks bisnis yang semakin kompetitif, pengelolaan sumber daya manusia (SDM) menjadi krusial bagi kesuksesan sebuah Perusahaan dan sebagai entitas perbankan di Indonesia, tidak luput dari tantangan ini. Sistem pengelolaan SDM yang baik serta peran SDM dalam mencapai tujuan perusahaan lewat tantangan yang dihadapi merupakan satu paket yang harus dipenuhi dalam mengelola SDM. Hasil Pembangunan sistem menunjukkan bahwa PT. BPR PHM Perbaungan menerapkan pendekatan holistik dalam pengelolaan SDM, meliputi proses perekrutan yang selektif, pelatihan dan pengembangan karyawan secara berkelanjutan, serta sistem evaluasi kinerja yang transparan. SDM dianggap sebagai aset utama dalam mencapai tujuan perusahaan, dengan investasi pada pengembangan karyawan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan inovasi.

Abstract

Kerja Praktik menggambarkan pengalaman bagi tim pengabdi dalam mengembangkan aplikasi pendaftaran calon siswa baru berbasis web di SMA Swasta Nusantara Lubuk Pakam. Tujuan utama aplikasi ini adalah untuk mempermudah pendaftaran siswa baru secara online, meningkatkan efisiensi, dan mengurangi kesalahan administrasi. Proses dimulai dengan sosialisasi dan pengumpulan data siswa melalui kuisioner, kemudian data disusun dalam kategori tertentu. Selanjutnya, tim merancang dan membangun sistem, menghadapi berbagai tantangan teknis, seperti desain antarmuka yang responsif dan pengelolaan keamanan data. Salah satu masalah utama adalah kesalahan saat siswa tidak mengunggah foto, yang menyebabkan aplikasi tidak bisa melanjutkan proses. Tim berhasil mengatasi hal ini dengan menemukan solusi teknis yang tepat. Proses pengembangan aplikasi memberikan penulis pemahaman lebih mendalam tentang praktik terbaik dalam pengembangan aplikasi web, keterampilan pemrograman, dan pentingnya kolaborasi dalam tim. Selain itu, pengalaman ini juga meningkatkan pemahaman tentang peran teknologi informasi dalam meningkatkan efisiensi proses pendaftaran di sekolah. Keseluruhan proyek ini memberikan pengalaman berharga dalam pengelolaan proyek dan penerapan teknologi untuk solusi praktis di dunia pendidikan.

Abstract

Providing assistance to underprivileged families is an important social effort to enhance community welfare; however, the selection of aid recipients often encounters problems such as subjectivity, unstructured data, and time inefficiency when conducted manually. This study aims to develop and evaluate a decision support system for determining aid recipients at STM Agape using the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm to improve accuracy and objectivity in the selection process. The research methodology employed a quantitative classification approach, where data were collected from families based on predefined criteria, including family income, number of dependents, housing conditions, and the occupation of the head of the household. The dataset was divided into training and testing data, and all attributes were normalized prior to processing. The KNN algorithm was applied using Euclidean distance to measure similarity between data instances, classifying each family into “eligible” or “ineligible” categories. The results indicate that the proposed system achieved higher classification accuracy and more consistent decision outcomes compared to manual selection methods. Additionally, the implementation of KNN reduced processing time and minimized subjective bias in determining aid recipients. These findings demonstrate that the KNN-based system is effective as a decision support tool, enabling STM Agape to distribute social assistance in a more targeted, objective, transparent, and efficient manner.

Abstract

An in depth analysis of data security in text-based steganography is necessary to ensure the sustainability and security of the methodology used. The purpose of this study is to analyze the resilience of data security in text-based steganography. The analytical approach used involves identifying and assessing the vulnerabilities of text steganography methods using Indonesian sentence patterns. The initial stage of the research was to analyze previous works related to this field to understand previously identified vulnerabilities. The applied text embedding model is based on a dictionary consisting of 1,929 words grouped into seven word categories that correspond to sentence patterns in Indonesian, namely adj (adjective), adv (adverb), nom (noun), num (numeral), par (particle), pro (pronoun), and ver (verb). Each word class is arranged into a sentence structure and each has the same bit length, namely eight bits. The robustness analysis results show that single-word input data is still vulnerable to brute-force attacks or pattern analysis if the message embedding process uses a simple sentence structure. This is due to the relatively small search space, which makes it easier for attackers to guess the embedding pattern. Conversely, using sentence patterns consisting of more than two words significantly increases combinatorial complexity and expands the possibility space, making hacking attempts much more computationally difficult. Thus, the robustness of a steganographic system increases as the number of words in the sentence pattern increases, as the time and resources required to perform the attack become practically inefficient.

Abstract

Implementasi Algoritma Backpropagation untuk memprediksi bakat siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bakat siswa dalam pemilihan jurusan perguruan tinggi pada SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan menggunakan jaringan syaraf tiruan berbasis algoritma backpropagation. Program yang di gunakan berbasis web menggunakan bahasa program php dan Mysql. Membantu orangtua/wali siswa mengetahui bakat agar lebih mudah mengarahkan siswa memilih jurusan pada perguruan tinggi. Kerangka kerja penelitian, menguraikan analisis dari sistem yang akan dibangun atapun analisa dari metode algoritma ataupun teknik yang diterapkan dalam pembuatan sistem. Penerapan hasil Analisa dalam sebuah sistem berbentuk capture yang sedang dijalankan dan disertai dengan penjelasan dan penggunaan sistem serta hasil pengujian perangkat lunak. Pelatihan ataupun pembentukan Jaringan Saraf Tiruan yang perlu dilakukan pertama kali adalah inisialisasi bobot awal. Perancangan sistem yang diusulkan digambarkan dengan menggukan Unified Modelling Laguage (UML), Activity Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Class Diagram.

Abstract

Pengelolaan data jemaat merupakan bagian penting dalam mendukung efektivitas pelayanan gereja. Namun, proses pendataan jemaat di Gereja HKI Resort Khusus Lubuk Pakam masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan permasalahan seperti ketidakteraturan data, kesulitan pencarian informasi, dan risiko kehilangan data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan aplikasi pendataan jemaat berbasis web guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi pengelolaan data jemaat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, pengembangan aplikasi, pengujian, serta implementasi dan evaluasi sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dikembangkan mampu mengelola data jemaat secara terstruktur, mempermudah proses pencatatan dan pencarian data, serta mendukung penyusunan laporan administrasi gereja. Penerapan aplikasi ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap kinerja pengurus gereja dalam mengelola data jemaat secara efektif dan terintegrasi. Dengan demikian, aplikasi pendataan jemaat dapat menjadi solusi dalam mendukung transformasi digital administrasi gereja dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kepada jemaat.
