Abstract

Industrial activities often cause significant environmental damage. This paper analyzes the root causes from a conflict perspective and identifies solutions that can address these issues. By understanding the dynamics of conflict between industry and the environment, we can design more effective policies and strategies to achieve sustainable development. Abstract

Community Service through real work lectures is an activity to solve a problem that exists in the village. This study aims to provide education to students at school, one of which is about bullying and the impact of bullying in the school environment. This KKN activity was carried out in Mojosarirejo Village, Kemlagi District, Mojokerto Regency. Through KKN, students can apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in college into real practice, thereby improving their abilities and experience. The methods used in this study use observation and interview methods. The results of this study show that children at elementary school level (SD) understand the impact of bullying which can affect the child’s psychological condition as well as their physical condition. And they do not repeat things related to bullying that can harm themselves and others.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji kinerja room boy dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan di Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort. para tamu untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan di Sofitel Nusa Dua Beach Resort. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menyajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 1 Executive Housekeeper, 1 Housekeeping Manager, 1 Assistant Housekeeping, 1 Housekeeping Supervisor dan 1 HRD. Metode yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Ditinjau dari kualitas pelayanan diketahui pula bahwa kualitas pelayanan bagian houskeeping yang diukur dengan lima dimensi kualitas pelayanan tampak antara harapan tamu dengan keinginan tamu sehingga sebagian besar tamu beranggapan bahwa kualitas pelayanan di Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort mempengaruhi kepuasan tamu di Sofitel Bali. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini pengaruh kinerja room boy sangat besar bagi Sofitel Bali, dengan kinerja room boy sesuai SOP sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pelayanan. Sebagai saran, pihak housekeeping sebaiknya selalu aktif menegur room boy yang sering terlambat masuk jam kerja.

Abstract

This research was motivated by vehicle users who did not remember when to service their vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle. Therefore, a system is needed to provide information about vehicle service schedules using electronic media, one of which is WhatsApp messages. This research was conducted at TOMO Pondok Mahkota Motor. The research method is a quantitative method. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and questionnaires. In preparing this application system, the UML method was used. Application development using the PHP programming language and preparation of database structures using MySQL. The research results show that this system is useful for recording customer data, providing information on the next four-wheeled vehicle service schedule to customers, customers find out information on the next four-wheeled vehicle service schedule via WhatsApp notifications.

Abstract

Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI meluncurkan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) sejak 2015 untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi pelajar. Pada jenjang SMA/sederajat, pelajar diharapkan mampu memahami bacaan, berpikir kritis, dan berkomunikasi kreatif melalui kegiatan seperti menanggapi buku pengayaan. Namun, di Kabupaten Probolinggo, kegiatan literasi semacam ini—termasuk ekstrakurikuler jurnalistik, KIR, debat, teater, atau sinematografi—masih jarang dilakukan. Berangkat dari kondisi tersebut, Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi pelajar melalui Sekolah Jurnalistik bekerja sama dengan IPNU/IPPNU dan LTNNU Kabupaten Probolinggo. Peserta mendapat empat materi dasar jurnalistik, mengikuti pelatihan hybrid, dan menulis karya jurnalistik tentang lingkungan masing-masing. Proses pendampingan dilakukan secara daring melalui grup WhatsApp. Hasilnya, pelajar mampu menulis dan mempublikasikan karya mereka di media jaringan NU dan media sosial organisasi. Meski demikian, kegiatan ini masih memerlukan pendampingan berkelanjutan agar kemampuan menulis pelajar tetap terjaga dan berkembang.

Abstract

Inequality in access to Marine Genetic Resources (MGRs) in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction (ABNJ) remains a major challenge in the international law of the sea, particularly for developing countries with limited technological and research capacity. This issue is closely related to the absence of an effective benefit-sharing regime under UNCLOS, which has historically favored technologically advanced countries. This study analyzes the role of the Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) Agreement in addressing structural inequalities in access to and utilization of MGRs and examines its strategic implications for Indonesia. The study employs a normative legal research method, using statutory and conceptual approaches, through analysis of international legal instruments, scholarly literature, and state practices concerning mechanisms for access to and benefit-sharing of marine genetic resources. The findings indicate that the dominance of developed countries in marine scientific research and ownership of MGR-based patents persists due to disparities in technology, infrastructure, and research capacity. These conditions have implications for the realization of the constitutional rights of Indonesian citizens as guaranteed under Article 33(3) and Article 28H(1) of the 1945 Constitution, particularly regarding the utilization of natural resources, access to scientific and technological advancement, and the right to a clean and healthy environment. The BBNJ Agreement introduces normative developments through provisions on access and benefit-sharing, including technology transfer and capacity-building measures as forms of non-monetary benefits. This study concludes that Indonesia should strengthen its domestic regulatory framework, enhance marine research capacity, and optimize international cooperation to promote equitable benefit-sharing and reinforce environmental justice in implementing the BBNJ regime.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education requires teachers to integrate technology into the teaching and learning process. However, limited digital literacy remains a major challenge in implementing technology-based learning. This community service program aimed to enhance the competence of teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Binjai Hulu in utilizing AI as a learning medium. The program employed a participatory, hands-on training approach consisting of four stages: preparation, socialization, implementation, and evaluation. Program effectiveness was assessed through pre-test and post-test evaluations. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in teachers' competencies, as indicated by an increase in the average test score from 70 to 90, representing a 28.5% improvement. In addition to strengthening teachers' ability to use AI, the program also fostered their creativity and confidence in developing digital learning materials. Therefore, AI training can serve as an effective strategy for supporting the digital transformation of education at the elementary school level.
