Abstract

The era of the Digital Revolution 4.0 needs to be addressed with appropriate learning so that students have superior competencies in the field of education. This must be responded quickly and accurately by all stakeholders in education in order to be able to increase the competitiveness of the Indonesian nation in the midst of increasingly competitive competition. The process of information technology management level through the Cobit 5 Framework shows that educational institutions in Riau Province are still in level 2, namely the managed process level. We need a solution to accelerate technology, especially online learning, which is a necessity in various educational institutions. SMAN 8 Pekanbaru has implemented online learning with the measured readiness of managed process technology. The model used is the seamless learning model which is a method that provides an effective learning environment, contains the concepts of continuity and continuity in the learning process that occurs without time and space limits. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to implement online learning at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru in the form of workshops for teachers in schools using the Cobit 5 Framework. The results of this activity show significant changes, especially in the enrichment of online learning learning models. The survey results from the satisfaction of teachers showed a score of 98% strongly agree with the benefits resulting from this community service activity.

Abstract

Many plants include antioxidant chemicals in their blooms, leaves, and fruit. Antioxidants are substances that slow, stop, or stop the oxidation process. Various antioxidant chemicals have the capacity to block oxidative processes, allowing body cells to recover from oxidative damage. Malay apple has a lot of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Malay apple flesh, seeds, and leaves include phenolic chemicals, flavonoids, and carotenoids, all of which have antioxidant properties. The IC50 value will be used to measure the antioxidant activity of guava seed ethanol extract in this investigation. The seeds of the malay apple were extracted using the maceration process using ethanol as the solvent. The antioxidant activity of the concentrated extract was then determined using the 1,1-Diphenyl-2-Picryhydrazyl (DPPH) method, which uses a small, simple, fast, and easy sample to activate the antioxidant activity of natural substances. This study took place between April and May of 2022. The IC50 value was determined to be 3,511 ppm. The antioxidant activity in this study exhibits substantial antioxidant activity to fight free radicals, according to the IC50 value obtained.

Abstract

Jambu Bol (Syzygium Malaccense) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan karena mengandung metabolit sekunder hampir di seluruh bagian tanamannya, seperti daging buahnya, namun pada kali ini, peneliti hanya menjadikan biji jambu bol saja sebagai objek penelitian. Salah satu metabolit sekunder yang terkandung pada  jambu bol ini yakni fenolik.Fenolik ini merupakan senyawa bahan alam yang cukup luas penggunaannya pada saat ini, dan juga fenolik merupakan kelompok senyawa terbesar yang berperan sebagai antioksidan alami pada tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan apakah di dalam biji jambu bol (Syzygium malaccense) terkandung senyawa fenolik dan juga menentukan kandungan total fenolik dari ekstrak etanol biji jambu bol dengan metode spektrofotometri UV-Visible. Kadar total fenolik  dinyatakan dalam gallic acid equivalent (GAE). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil analisis kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa biji jambu bol (Syzygium malaccense) mengandung senyawa fenolik, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kadar total fenolik ekstrak etanol biji jambu bol sebesar15,488 mgGAE/g.Kata kunci: Fenolik, Spektrofotometer UV-Vis,Syzygium malaccense

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is defined as a disease or chronic metabolic disorder with multiple etiologies characterized by high blood sugar levels accompanied by disturbances in carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism as a result of insulin insufficiency. The use of traditional medicine in Indonesia is currently in great demand by the public, one type of plant that is widely used as traditional medicine is bitter melon (Momordica charantia). The ingredients of bitter melon which are useful for lowering blood glucose are charantin, insulin polypeptide-P, and lectins. This study aims to determine the antidiabetic activity of the ethanol extract of bitter melon seeds (Momordica charantia) against male mice (Mus musculus) charged with 50% glucose solution. Tests for antidiabetic activity in mice were carried out in 5 treatment groups, namely the negative control group (1% w/v Na-CMC), the positive control group (0.01% Glibenclamide suspension), the first test group (50 mg/kg BW of bitter melon seed extract). , Test Group II (150 mg/kgBB ethanol extract of bitter melon seeds), and Test Group III (250 mg/kgBB ethanol extract of bitter melon seeds). The results of the study were analyzed using the One-Way ANOVA statistical test. The results showed that the ethanol extract of bitter gourd seeds was able to inhibit glucose absorption where the greatest total inhibition occurred at a dose of 250 mg/kg, namely 118 mg/dL, then at a dose of 150 mg/kg, namely 88 mg/dL, and finally at a dose of 50 mg/kg, which is 116 mg/dL.Keywords: Bitter melon fruit seeds (Momordica charantia), antidiabetic, male mice (Mus musculus)

Abstract

People generally treat infectious diseases using synthetic drugs that can have a n5egative impact. Therefore, one way to reduce the impact of synthetic drugs is to use medicinal plants. The meat, seeds, and leaves of Syzygium malaccense show the content of phenolic, flavonoid, and cartonoid compounds that are sources of antioxidant activity and have the opportunity to be used as medicinal plants. The aim of this study is to examine the potential for acute toxicity of Syzygium malaccense extract against the larval artemia salina leach using the BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test) method shown by the LC50 to ensure its safety if used by humans and to be the earliest stage for finding a new source of anti-cancer medicine. The extracts were made by maseration using a 96% ethanol solvent. The toxicity test was carried out using the 48-hour-old Artemia salina leach shrimp larva. The results of this study were analysed using the LC50 probit table for a 96% ethanol extract of rose bol seeds, which is 46,18 ppm. This suggests that the extract is highly toxic to Artemia salina leach.

Abstract

Matoa (Pometia pinnata J.R & J. G. Forster) is one of the plants that can be used for traditional medicine. Based on several studies, it is stated that the ethanolic extract of matoa leaves has good antioxidant activity. This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of gel preparations from the ethanolic extract of matoa (Pometia pinnata) leaves. Matoa leaf extract (Pometia pinnata) was prepared using maceration method with 96% ethanol as solvent. Then the extract was formulated into a gel with 4 formulations, namely F0 (no matoa leaf extract), FI (with 0.1% matoa leaf ethanol extract), FII (with 0.3% matoa leaf extract), FIII (with ethanol leaf matoa by 0.5%). Furthermore, the antioxidant activity test was carried out on the gel samples using the DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 515 nm. The results of the antioxidant activity test showed that the percentage of inhibition of the 96% ethanol extract of matoa leaf (Pometia pinnata) was F0 40.34%, FI 55.187%, FII 61.703%, FIII 27.969%, and the percentage inhibition of vitamin C was 178.947%. So it can be said that the matoa leaf extract gel has antioxidant activity.

Abstract

Teh herbal atau herbal tea merupakan salah satu produk minuman campuran teh dan tanaman herbal yang memiliki khasiat dalam membantu pengobatan suatu penyakit atau sebagai penyegar. Teh herbal dapat dikonsumsi sebagai minuman sehat yang praktis untuk menjaga kesehatan. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kulit buah naga super merah (Selenicereus costaricensis) yang diperoleh dari Kecamatan Ampek Angkek, Kabupaten Agam dan daun mint (Mentha piperita L.) yang diperoleh dari Kecamatan Ampek Koto, Kabupaten Agam, Potensi kulit buah naga super merah sebagai obat masih belum termanfaatkan dengan optimal. Salah satu cara untuk mendapatkan khasiatnya, yaitu kulit buah naga super merah (Selenicereus costaricensis) atau super red ini dikonsumsikan dengan daun mint (Mentha piperita L.) dalam bentuk kering yang kemudian diseduh dan diminum. Minuman ini biasanya disebut dengan teh herbal. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui kadar total fenolik terbaik dari 5 variasi komposisi pada sediaan herbal kulit buah naga super merah dan daun mint. Variasi komposisi kulit buah naga super merah dengan daun mint adalah 9:1; 8:2; 7:3; 6:4; 5:5. Uji kadar total fenolik dilakukan menggunakan metoda spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Kadar total fenolik dari 5 variasi komposisi sediaan teh hebal kulit buah naga super merah dan daun mint dengan kadar total fenolik tertinggi pada formulasi 5:5 dengan nilai total kadar fenolik yaitu 0,255 %. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin sedikit kulit buah naga super merah dan semakin banyak daun mint maka semakin tinggi kadar total fenolik. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya disarankan menggunakan metoda freeze drying untuk pengeringan agar tidak merusak senyawa yang terdapat dalam sampel.

Abstract

Patin Fish (Pangasius, SP), is one type of freshwater fish found in rivers in Riau Province. Patin fish is a source of high quality food, but it is a highly perishable food. Therefore, to overcome this need a way of preservation and processing that can maintain durability and not reduce the nutritional value that is by making surimi. In this research, the basic ingredients of patin fish are made with sago flour. Sago flour has different physical properties from tapioka flour and wheat flour so that it will increase the ability to from in surimi. Surimi is made with washing variations and added sago four. The results of this research were obtained from testing the chemical characteristics of surimi which were made with washing variations and obtained sago flour. The lowest and highest water conten of surimi is 52.1832% and 75.7656%. The lowest and highest protein content of surimi is 8.6631 % and 17.5487%.

Abstract

Seiring dengan berkembangnya zaman dan modernisasi yang terus terjadi menyebabkan perubahan pola dan gaya hidup masyarakat terutama di daerah perkotaan. Kadar kolesterol total yang tinggi akan membentuk asterosklerosis yang dapat menyebabkan hipertensi dan penyumbatan pembuluh darah otak, jantung dan pembuluh darah tungkai. Sedangkan penyumbatan pada pembuluh darah tungkai dapat menyebabkan penyakit pembuluh darah tepi. Keadaan ini sering terjadi pada kaki yang dapat menimbulkan rasa nyeri, kram. Beberapa penyebab kolesterol berlebih yaitu obesitas, kurang bergerak, umur dan jenis kelamin, merokok, sejarah keluarga pada dan pola makan sehari-hari. Kadar kolesterol banyak diderita oleh para lansia itu dikarenakan faktor usia yang semakin lama badan akan semakin malas untuk di gerakkan, sehingga kolesterol di dalam tubuh menumpuk kedalam hati, oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan gerakan yang seimbang antar pola makanan dan olahraga agar para lansia terhindar dari kolesetrol berlebih. . Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagimana gambaran kadar kolesterol total lansia di puskesmas rumbai. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode POCT (Point Of Care Testing). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. .Hasil pemeriksaan secara langsung menggunakan alat Easy Touch GCU dapat diketahui dari 30 responden, terdapat sebanyak 6 orang (20%) memiliki kadar kolesterol normal, 12 orang (40%) memiliki kadar kolesterol sedang, dan 12 orang (40%) memiliki kadar kolesterol total tinggi. Nilai rerata dari data hasil keseluruhan kadar kolestrol total pada lansia di Puskesmas Rumbai adalah 231.23 mg/dl.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the world's island nations with high biodiversity of flora and fauna. The country's strategic geographical position is one of the factors contributing to its rich biodiversity. The global agreements on the disclosure and sustainable utilization of biodiversity for human needs are increasingly prevalent. Guava is rich in fiber, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A, thiamine, riboflavin, ascorbic acid, and niacin. Although there is no medical research yet, Guava is believed to help alleviate constipation, diabetes, cough, headaches, and inflammation of the respiratory mucosa. Meanwhile, its seeds, bark, and leaves possess dynamic properties and have effects on blood pressure and respiration. To determine the properties of compounds contained in guava seed extract. This research uses quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of this research show that guava seeds have total flavonoid levels of 1.4008%, saponins 9.3363%, tannins 1.2703%, and alkaloids 1.8490%. The conclusion is that guava seeds contain positive secondary metabolite compounds including flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins and saponins. Keywords: Guava seeds, secondary metabolite compounds
