Abstract

This study aims to determine how students' perceptions of the role of Vocational Pedagogics and Metoda Mengajar Khusus (MMK) lectures on student teaching readiness. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The research population is the 2018 Electrical Engineering Education Study Program students who have passed the Vocational Pedagogics, Metoda Mengajar Khusus, and Program Pengalaman Lapangan Kependidikan (PPLK) courses, totaling 55 students. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling, meaning that the entire population was used as the research sample, namely 55 people. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire with the provision of answers always, often, sometimes, rarely, and never. Based on the results of the study, the descriptive analysis obtained the average value of the respondent's level of achievement (TCR) for each indicator in the questionnaire was classified as good. This shows that the mean score of the dominant respondents' answers is high so that the TCR number can be obtained. Furthermore, the inductive analysis obtained the results of hypothesis testing that students' perceptions of the role of the Vocational Pedagogic course (X1) and the Metoda Mengajar Khusus course (X2) partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on teaching readiness (Y).

Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim of knowing the impact of the Problem Based Instruction learning model on the learning outcomes of Electrical Lighting Installation students of TITL Class XI SMK Negeri 5 Padang. This study uses a quasi-experimental design, namely the research using the experimental class and the control class. The subjects of this study were students of class XI TITL at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. This study uses an instrument in the form of multiple choice written test questions arranged based on the material and objectives to be achieved in learning and curriculum. the instrument requirements were tested to determine the validity and reliability of the instrument. To find out the magnitude of the impact of learning outcomes using the Problem Based Instruction model on the learning outcomes of class XI students in the Electrical Lighting Installation lesson using the effect size calculation formula. Based on the results of research and discussion that have been carried out, it shows the average value of learning outcomes from the posttest, students experience a lot of improvement. The increase was seen in the number of students who got scores exceeding the Minimum Completeness Criteria with the percentage of students who completed 92%, which was previously 77%. then the conclusion of the thesis entitled The Impact of Problem Based Instruction Learning Model on Learning Outcomes of Electrical Lighting Installation Students of Class XI Electrical Power Installation Engineering at SMK Negeri 5 Padang, a large impact in improving student learning outcomes in Electrical Power Installation subjects at SMK Negeri 5 Padang.

Abstract

Electrical Engineering Drawing is one of the compulsory subjects that must be studied for students. In the implementation of learning at SMK N 2 Kota Sungai Kunci this subject is still done manually, namely by using pencils and drawing paper. However, with the empowerment of computer labor, it can carry out the learning process of Electrical Engineering Drawings with the help of Autocad software. Therefore, it is necessary to make an Electrical Engineering Drawing learning module to support students in understanding the use of software in understanding material. This study aims to determine the validity and feasibility of the Autocad-based Electrical Engineering Drawing module at SMK N 2 Kota Sungai Lilin. Based on the results of the research that has been done, data is obtained from a questionnaire analysis by a validator consisting of 2 material experts and media experts. The results of the validity test of the Autocad-based Electrical Engineering Drawing learning module assessed by the material expert validator obtained a very high validity category while the media expert validator obtained a very high validity category. The results of the due diligence conducted by 34 class X students of the Department of Electrical Power Installation Engineering obtained a very decent category. So, the conclusion from this study is that the Autocad-Based Electrical Engineering Drawing module is feasible to be used in the learning process of Electrical Engineering Drawings for class X of the Electrical Engineering Department.

Abstract

Pada era revolusi industri 4.0 saat ini, industri akan memasuki dunia virtual serta penggunaan mesin-mesin automasi yang terintegrasi dengan internet sehingga efek yang ditimbulkan dari penerapan teknologi ini adalah meningkatnya efisiensi produksi dan terjadi peningkatan produktivitas serta daya saing. Pada bidang olahraga tenis lapangan, teknologi automasi yang terintegrasi dengan internet ini belum banyak diterapkan. Salah satu penggunaan teknologi yang terintegrasi dengan internet ini dapat diaplikasikan kedalam sebuah alat pelontar bola tenis lapangan sehingga memudahkan atlet dan pelatih tenis lapangan dalam berlatih. Dalam penelitian ini, merancang sebuah robot pelontar bola tenis lapangan berbasis Internet of Thing (IoT) yang bertujuan untuk memberikan kemudahan dan efisiensi untuk para atlet dan pelatih dalam berlatih. Pembuatan alat ini terdiri dari perangkat keras seperti Arduino Mega2560, ESP32, motor DC, driver BTS7960, display LCD 16x2, I2C, sensor IR, selonoid, sensor ultrasonik, push button, dan joystick modul. Adapun perangkat lunak (software) yang digunakan yaitu Arduino IDE dan Blynk. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah alat ini dapat digunakan dengan beberapa jenis permainan dan dapat dikendalikan secara wireless melalui jaringan internet yang dapat dioperasikan pada smarthphone.

Abstract

Facilities and infrastructure in practical activities become one of the factors in the learning process in order to achieve learning goals in schools. The purpose of this study was to determine students' perceptions of the facilities and infrastructure of the Electric Motor Power Installation Workshop. This study used population and sample, the population in this study were students of class XII TITL SMK Negeri 5 Padang while the sample used Nonprobability sampling with a total of 88 students. The results of the study used the overall percentage value regarding students' perceptions of the facilities and infrastructure of the electric motor installation workshop in SMK Negeri 5 Padang is included in the good category. The percentage is obtained from the calculation results of the three existing indicators. Indicators of students' knowledge of electrical installation workshop facilities and infrastructure are in the good category, indicators of student experience in carrying out electrical installation practices are in the good category, and indicators of electrical workshop facilities and infrastructure are also in the good category.

Abstract

Beragam peralatan listrik maupun elektronik yang beroperasi dengan tegangan searah menggunakan baterai sebagai sumber energi listriknya. Sebagian besar baterai tersebut dapat diisi ulang dengan charger sehingga dapat digunakan dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Pengisian baterai dengan charger perlu dikendalikan dan dimonitor agar tidak terjadi sesuatu yang tidak diinginkan seperti adanya kasus overcharging pada baterai. Paper ini mengusulkan sistem kendali dan monitoring charger baterai dengan menggunakan panel surya sebagai sumber daya listriknya. Sistem kendali dan monitoring charger baterai ini dirancang dengan menggunakan Programable Logic Controller (PLC) S7 1200 1215C DC/DC/Relay dan Human Machine Interface (HMI) Simatic KTP 700 Basic PN untuk display dari parameter yang dimonitor, yakni arus, tegangan dan State of Charge (SOC) dari baterai. Sistem kendali dilengkapi dengan solar charger, sensor tegangan, sensor arus dan relay sebagai pemutus rangkaian charger ketika pengisian baterai telah penuh.Sistem kendali dan monitoring charger baterai yang diusulkan ini diimplementasikan pada dua buah baterai 100 Ah 12 Volt yang disuplai dengan delapan buah panel surya 50 WP. Hasil eksperimen menunjukan bahwa sistem kendali dan monitoring baterai yang diusulkan telah bekerja dengan baik sesuai dengan tujuan. HMI sudah berhasil menampilkan data tegangan, arus dan SOC baterai dan juga telah sukses mengendalikan charger baterai agar tidak terjadi overcharging.

Abstract

Teknologi informasi terus berkembang secara pesat hingga pada generasi Internet of things (IoT). IoT adalah kumpulan benda berupa perangkat fisik (hardware/embed system) yang mampu bertukar informasi antara operator layangan ataupun perangkat lainnya yang terhubung. Salah satu manfaat yang dapat dirasakan yaitu smarthome yang dirancang dengan konsep IoT menggunakan smartphone. Smarthome yang dirancang bertujan sebagai sistem kontrol instalasi rumah yang bisa di monitoring menggunakan smartphone dengan jarak jauh supaya dapat menghemat penggunaan listrik. Menggunakan ESP32 yang berfungsi sebagai penghubung antara perangkat dengan jaringan internet dan module Wifi sehingga barang elektronik di rumah bisa dikontrol keadaan on dan off melalui aplikasi yang telah terpasang dismartphone dari jarak jauh. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa sistem Kontrol instalasi rumah berbasis Internet of Things telah bekerja dengan baik, dimana semua peralatan elektronik sudah dapat dikontrol melalui aplikasi yang ada di smartphone. Sehingga aplikasi ini dapat menghemat biaya listrik jika lupa mematikan barang elektronik yang masih on di rumah.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the value of the Electrical Installation practicum for Electrical Engineering Students at Padang State University, there were low student grades, there were students who did not do the assignments given by the lecturer which made student grades low, and students who did not read enough material before taking part in the learning activities that were to be carried out. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Learning Contratc method on learning motivation for Electrical Installation Practicum in Electrical Engineering Students at Padang State University. This research is a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of the 2022 class of Electrical Engineering at Padang State University using a random sampling technique. The analysis of this research is correlation. The results of this research show that the learning contract method has an influence on the motivation to learn electrical installation practicals in Electrical Engineering students at Padang State University.

Abstract

Water is a natural resource that is very important for life in the world for humans, animals and other living things. In a settlement, there are two ways to provide clean water, namely piped and non-piped systems. The piping system itself is managed by the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM), which is a local government company that carries out the service function to produce drinking water and clean water for the community. The current problem occurs in the community and is detrimental to the community itself, namely the manual recording system of water usage meters, often the fees charged by the community are not in accordance with the usage meter used. For this reason, an automatic monitoring of water usage was designed. This tool uses a Waterflow to detect the amount of water consumption which is controlled with NodeMCU Esp8266, later monitoring of usage can be seen on the LCD and Thinger.io as a database. Testing this final project using a measuring cup as a comparison of the real water volume with the volume of the results read by the sensor. The test results of the final project will read the volume of water and the rate for usage fees with an error percentage of 0.3%. The resulting data can be monitored in real time through the thinger.io website and smartphones to make it easier to monitor remotely.
