Abstract

This study aims to compare the two KKNI-based Arabic Language Education curricula between PBA UIN Malang and PBA UMY. This type of research is field research which is located in PBA UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and PBA Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Data collection methods using observation, interviews and documentation and data analysis are qualitative. The results of the study show that there are several similarities and differences between the two curricula which are reflected in the curriculum preparation, implementation and evaluation and also found the advantages that are characteristic of each. In addition, there are still some shortcomings because it is indeed a new curriculum that needs to be refined. We hope that this work can be used as a reference as well as learning material for other Arabic Language Education study programs in developing an IQF-based curriculum.

Abstract

This article aims to reinforce the understanding of the concepts, characteristics, and scope of studies in Arabic language curriculum management. This type of research includes library research, which is a descriptive qualitative research. The data was collected using the documentation method. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out through qualitative (non-statistical) analysis methods on the basis of which conclusions were drawn using an inductive frame of mind. The results show that the Arabic language curriculum management is a distinctive process consisting of planning, organizing, directing and controlling actions carried out on the implementation of the Arabic language curriculum by utilizing all existing supporting aspects in order to achieve effective, efficient and optimal goals in accordance with which have been set. The characteristic or characteristic of Arabic language curriculum management is that it contains religious values, either real or cultural values. The scope of operational problems which are the Arabic language curriculum management studies, namely: Management planning and curriculum development; Management of curriculum implementation; Supervision of curriculum implementation; Curriculum monitoring and assessment; Curriculum improvement; Decentralization and curriculum centralization; and labor issues.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is aimed to examine the influence return on equity (ROE), debt to equity ratio (DER), fixed assets turnover (FATO), price to book value (PBV) and interest rate (IR) towards price earning ratio (per). Population of this study are Property & Real Estate companies which had go public in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of 2008-2012.This research take 11 samples of 52 Property & Real Estate companies listed in IDX during the period of 2008-2012. This research concluded that the price to book value (PBV) and interest rate (IR) have significant influence towards the price earning ratio (PER). Meanwhile, other variables partially have no significant influence towards the price earning ratio (PER). ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh return on equity (ROE), debt to equity ratio (DER), fixed assets turnover (FATO), price to book value (PBV) dan interest rate (IR) terhadap Price Earning Ratio (PER). Populasi penelitian adalah perusahaan-perusahaan Property & Real Estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2008-2012. Penelitian ini mengambil jumlah sampel sebanyak 14 perusahaan dari 52 perusahaan Property & Real Estate yang terdaftar di BEI selama periode 2008-2012. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel Price to Book Value (PBV) dan Interest Rate (IR) secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Price Earning Ratio (PER). Sedangkan Return on Equity (ROE), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) dan Fixed Assets Turnover (FATO) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Price Earning Ratio (PER). JEL Classification: G14, G30

Abstract

The lack of mastery in students' vocabulary greatly influences the objectives of learning Arabic, as students lack interest in following Arabic lessons, which are considered boring. This study aims to determine the Arabic vocabulary mastery of fifth grade students at the elementary school (SD) using the total physical response (TPR) method. The type of research used is quantitative research with an experimental research process. Data collection techniques used in the form of observation, interviews, and tests The data obtained showed that this study used normality test techniques, hypothesis testing, and one-sample t tests on Arabic vocabulary mastery. The sample in this study was 23 students in class V, using the pretest and posttest. The results of this study showed significant results: mastery of Arabic vocabulary before treatment was carried out using the total physical response (TPR) method obtained an average value of 69.35 with a standard deviation of 9.208. While the students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary improved after the total physical response (TPR) method was applied, the average value was 80.87, with a standard deviation of 10.407. There was an increase in Arabic vocabulary mastery after the total physical response (TPR) method was applied. So it can be concluded that the Total Physical Response (TPR) method is influential and suitable for increasing fifth grade students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary. Abstrak Faktor kurangnya penguasaan kosakata Arab siswa adalah kurangnya minat siswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran bahasa Arab yang dianggap membosankan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar dengan menggunakan metode Total Physical Response (TPR). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Data kuantitatif penelitian diperoleh berdasarkan pretest dan posttest yang diuji normalitas, uji hipotesis dan uji one-sample t test terhadap penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas V berjumlah 23 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab sebelum dilakukan treatment menggunakan metode TPR diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 69.35, dengan standar deviasi sebesar 9.208. Kemudian setelah diterapkan metode TPR nilai rata-rata siswa menjadi 80.87, dengan standar deviasi sebesar 10.407. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut terdapat peningkatan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab setelah diterapkanya metode TPR. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode TPR berpengaruh dan cocok digunakan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab siswa SD.

Abstract

Surah Al-Alaq is one of the surahs that refers to knowledge by ordering reading as the key to knowledge. This study aims to determine the interpretation of each verse in Surah Al-Alaq as explained above based on the results of research by each commentator. This article uses qualitative descriptive data analysis research to examine the hidden meanings hidden in Surah Al-Alaq verses 1–5 from a verbal and figurative perspective. According to the theory of language rules, the word "iqra", which means reading, studying, conveying, and so on, is a verb whose object is general and includes all things that can be reached by the word, not only in written or unwritten verses. Therefore, the results of this study to understand the command of the word iqra' in Surah Al-Alaq verses 1–5 are to read not only what is written but also what is not written. Abstrak Surat Al-Alaq merupakan salah satu surat yang menunjuk pada ilmu pengetahuan, yaitu dengan memerintahkan membaca sebagai kunci pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penafsiran dari setiap ayat dalam surat al-alaq sebagaimana yang telah di jelaskan diatas berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari setiap mufasir. Artikel ini menggunakan penelitian yang berbentuk analisis deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengkaji makna makna yang tersembunyi dalam surat Al-Alaq ayat 1-5 dari sudut pandang verbal dan gaya bahasa. Menurut teori kaidah kebahasaan, kata "iqra", yang memiliki arti membaca, menelaah, menyampaikan, dan sebagainya, merupakan kata kerja yang objeknya bersifat umum dan mencakup semua hal yang dapat dijangkau oleh kata tersebut, tidak hanya yang ada dalam ayat tertulis atau tidak tertulis. Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitian ini untuk memahami perintah dari kata iqra’ dalam surat Al-Alaq ayat 1-5 adalah untuk membaca tetapi tidak hanya apa yang tertulis tapi juga apa yang tidak dituliskan.

Abstract

Assessment of balaghoh learning in universities is still in the category of low-level thinking skills. The test instruments still ask for understanding, the number of types, and other basic questions. This research aims to provide an innovative test based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for assessing balaghoh learning at the Islamic Religious College (STAI) Masjid Syuhada Yogyakarta. This field research is qualitative, with a case study type. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, focus group discussions, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Balaghoh assessment instrument used has implemented HOTS cognitive level tests. However, there are only 3 test items that are included in the HOTS domain. This shows the limited number of HOTS items used in the assessment. Through this study, the researcher innovated a test instrument containing 14 HOTS items to test students' ability to analyze and evaluate sentence structure from the perspective of balaghoh science and create kalām-kalām (baligh) according to instructions. The innovation of this test instrument is explained with a description of the implementation of each item that contains the HOTS cognitive domain so that it can be understood and used for the development of balaghoh test instruments. Abstrak Penilaian pembelajaran balaghoh di perguruan tinggi masih dalam kategori kemampuan berpikir tingkat rendah. Instrumen tes masih menanyakan pengertian, jumlah jenis dan pertanyaan dasar lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan inovasi tes berbasis HOTS dalam menilai pembelajaran balaghoh di Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Syuhada (STAI) Masjid Yogyakarta. Penelitian lapangan ini bersifat kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, diskusi kelompok terkhusus, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian balaghoh yang digunakan telah menerapkan tes tingkat kognitif HOTS. Namun hanya terdapat 3 butir soal tes yang masuk dalam ranah HOTS. Hal ini menunjukkan terbatasnya butir soal HOTS yang digunakan dalam penilaian. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti membuat inovasi instrumen tes yang memuat 14 butir soal HOTS untuk menguji kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menganalisis dan mengevaluasi struktur kalimat dengan prespektif ilmu balaghoh dan menciptakan kalām-kalām (baligh) sesuai instruksi. Inovasi instrumen tes ini dijelaskan dengan gambaran pelaksanaan setiap butir soal yang memuat ranah kognitif HOTS sehingga dapat dipahami dan digunakan untuk pengembangan instrumen tes balaghoh.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively determine the thawab wa iqob method in learning Arabic: The perspective of the hadith of the Prophet SAW. This research is a library research, where the data comes from written materials such as books, journals and so on. In collecting data, the author uses data obtained by using the documentation method taken from learning method books, Arabic learning books, Islamic education books and other supporting books. The results of the study show that the thawab method in learning Arabic is in the form of praise, as exemplified by the Prophet when he gave praise to Abu Hurairah who was enthusiastic about asking and collecting hadiths from the Prophet. In learning Arabic, teachers can apply the thawab method in the form of praise when they see good and commendable signs made by students so that when given praise, students can be more motivated and enthusiastic in the learning process. The Iqob method in learning Arabic from a hadith perspective, namely, in the form of a reprimand, the Prophet once reprimanded a friend who made a mistake in front of other friends in a gentle way so that he would not feel offended and feel ashamed. In learning Arabic, teachers can apply verbal punishment in the form of reprimands to students who commit violations or mistakes as exemplified by the Prophet, so that students are aware and do not repeat their mistakes.

Abstract

Department of Arabic Education UIN Sunan Kalijaga has not set a policy on the obligation to write thesis in Arabic. Therefore, there are students who prefer to write their thesis in Indonesian. The article aims to find out the factors that cause students to prefer to write their thesis in Indonesian, the absence of policy writing thesis with Arabic and formulate a set of policy to upgrade the quality of graduate students by improving their paper. This is qualitative descriptive research in field research method. The data collection method gathered from questionare and interview. The data source were collected from the students who are still completing and had finished their undergraduste paper, and also the leader of Arabic Education Department as the stakeholder.The result shows eight factors that cause the students prefer to compose their undergraduate papers in Indonesian language. The are also four reasons to consider that it is not compulsory for the students to write the undergraduate paper in Arabic language. More over, there are three sets of policy about composing undergraduate paper to improve the quality of the graduate students the last is the steps of the realization of each activities.

Abstract

Purpose of this study is to analyse the phonological errors of students at the Yogyakarta Fathul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Mahārah Kalām of Arabic. This research is a qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques such as structured interviews and observations. And the data analysis techniques are using data logging, anecdotes, vignettes, data coding. The results of this study indicate that student’s phonological errors are in three aspects, such as the phonetic change in the letters ق-غ-خ-ع-ط-ث-ظ-ص-د-ذ-ه-ب-ش-ض-ج. Meanwhile, the phonological errors in the aspect of phoneme reduction are in the pronunciation of the words فَاكِهَةٌ - فَكِهَةٌ, ضَارٌّ - ضَرٌّ, قَامُوْسٌ  - قَمُوْسٌ, صَارُوْخٌ - صَرُوْخٌ , عَالَمٌ - عَلَمٌ, غَابَةٌ - غَبَةٌ,  حَاسُوْبٌ - حَاسُبٌ, رَحِيْمٌ - رَحِم, قَصِيْر - قَصِر, زُجَاجٌ - زُجَجٌ. And the phonological errors in the aspect of phonemes addition are in the words مَطَرٌ - مَاطَر, يَضْحَكُ - يَضْحَاكُ, ذُرَةٌ - ذُرَاةٌ, lafal ذَهَبٌ - ذَاهَبٌ, lafal بَطَّةٌ – بَطَاةٌ. This paper contributes to knowing and understanding the forms of phonological errors that arise in Arabic learning.   Keywords: Error Analysis, Phonology, Islamic Boarding School   ملخص تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل الأخطاء اللغوية في الجوانب الصوتية لدى طلاب معهد فتح الهدى الإسلامية السلفية يوجيا كارتا باللغة العربية محارة كلام. يتم تضمين هذا البحث في البحث النوعي الوصفي. تقنيات جمع البيانات في شكل مقابلات منظمة وملاحظات ل 6 طلاب من معهد فتح الهدى الإسلامية السلفية. تستخدم تقنيات تحليل البيانات تسجيل البيانات والحكايات والمقالات القصيرة وترميز البيانات. أظهرت نتائج هذه الدراسة أن الخطأ الصوتي لدى الطلاب يكمن في ثلاثة جوانب وهي تغير الصوتيات وتحديدا في الحروف ق-غ-خ-ع-ط-ث-ظ-ص-د-ذ-ه-ب-ش-ض-ج. في حين أن الأخطاء الصوتية في جانب اختزال الصوت هي في نطق (فَاكِهَةٌ) يصبح فَكِهَةٌ، النطق من ضَارٌّ يصبح ضَرٌّ، النطق من قَامُوْسٌ إلى قَمُوْسٌ, النطق صَارُوْخٌ إلى صَرُوْخٌ, النطق عَالَمٌ يصبح عَلَمٌ، النطق غَابَةٌ يصبح غَبَةٌ، النطق حَاسُوْبٌ يصبح حَاسُبٌ، النطق رَحيمٌ يصبح رَحِمٌ، النطص قصير يصبح قَصِرٌ،  النطق زُجَاجٌ يصبح زُجَجٌ.  بينما الأخطاء الصوتية في جانب إضافة الصوتيات هي في نطق مَطَرٌ يصبح مَاطَرٌ، النطق يَضْحَكُ يصبح يَضْحَاكُ، النطق ذُرَّةٌ يصبح ذُرَّاةٌ, النطق ذَهَبٌ يصبح ذَاهَبٌ، النُطْقِ بَطَةٌ يصبح بَطَاةٌ. تساهم هذه المقالة في معرفة وفهم شكل الأخطاء الصوتية التي تحدث في اللغة العربية. يساهم هذا البحث كمرجع جديد لأهمية تعلم اللغة العربية من الجانب الصوتي الذي يعمل كتمييز للمعنى. الكلمات المفتاحية: تحليل الأخطاء، علم الأصوات، المدرسة الداخلية الإسلامية

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the application of the talk stick learning model assisted by flash card media and to determine the level of effectiveness of the talk stick learning model assisted by flash card media in improving mufradat learning outcomes. The study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design model. Data were gathered through three methods: (1) watching teacher and student activities during the learning process; (2) using the talking stick model to test what to do before and after; and (3) documenting by gathering research-related documents. The normalcy distribution was used to calculate the One-Sample Shapiro-Wilk Test method, paired sample tests were used to test hypotheses, and N-gain was employed for data analysis.  To simplify the process, data analysis was carried out with the help of SPSS 26. This research was conducted at MI Al-Faidizn Buko Poso, Way Serdang class V, totaling 20 students. The research results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, and the N-gain percent value was 85.3492. So the use of the talking stick learning model assisted by flashcard media could improve mufradat learning outcomes.
