Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1) mengetahui kualitas butir soal pilihan ganda ditinjau dari segi materi, konstruksi dan bahasa. 2) mengetahui distribusi jenjang kognitif menurut taksonomi bloom. 3) mengetahui kualitas butir soal pilihan ganda jika dianalisis secara empirik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan pengumpulan data dengan teknik dokumentasi. Dua cara menganalisis butir soal yaitu analisis teori meliputi validitas isi serta distribusi jenjang kognitif taksonomi bloom yang melibatkan dua panelis sebagai penelaah, sedangkan analisis secara empirik memerlukan program komputer iteman versi 4.4 yang meliputi reliabilitas, tingkat daya beda, tingkat kesukaran serta efektivitas pengecoh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1). Validitas isi soal sebesar 0,9 tergolong tinggi. 2). Distribusi jenjang kognitif taksonomi Bloom sebesar 30% berada pada jenjang C1, 38,6% C2, 31,4% C3, sedangkan C4, C5 dan C6 adalah tidak ada. 3). Reliabilitas soal sebesar 0,838 tergolong tinggi, Berdasarkan tingkat kesukaran diperoleh 82,8% soal kategori terlalu mudah, 2,9% soal tergolong terlalu sukar dan 14,3% soal tergolong cukup. Berdasarkan tingkat daya beda 25,71% soal tergolong jelek, 40% soal tergolong cukup, 25,71% soal tergolong baik, 5,71% soal tergolong baik sekali, 2,87% soal tergolong jelek sekali. Berdasarkan efektivitas pengecoh, terdapat 53,6% pengecoh yang berfungsi dengan efektif dan 46,4% pengecoh yang tidak efektif.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi termokimia di dua sekolah yang berbeda kategorisasinya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan dukungan data sebagai penguatan keabsahan pengukuran kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis pada dua sekolah Sekolah A terdapat 7 siswa dengan intepretasi sangat tinggi, 20 siswa intepretasi tinggi,, 9 siswa intepretasi sedang, 3 siswa intepretasi rendah dan tidak ada siswa yang rendah. Pada intepretasi tersebut menunjukkan terdapat 17 siswa dengan intepretasi sangat tinggi, 17 siswa intepretasi tinggi, 4 siswa intepretasi sedang, 1 siswa intepretasi rendah. dan tidak ada siswa yang rendah. sekolah A siswa yang memiliki kategori berpikir kritis sangat tinggi 17,94%; kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi 51,28%, kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang 23,07%; kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah 7,69%, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat rendah 0%. sekolah B siswa yang memiliki kategori berpikir kritis sangat tinggi 43,59%; kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi 43,59%, kemampuan berpikir kritis sedang 10,25%; kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah 2,56%, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat rendah 0%. Berdasarkan kedua perbandingan diatas dapat dilihat sekolah B lebih unggul dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Pada konsep IPA terpadu yang abstrak, terdapat kerumitan untuk menampilkan proses kimia,fisika, dan biologi secara langsung pada kegiatan laboratorium yang nyatal dan akhirnya menjadikan tingkat pemahaman konsep menjadi kurang. PheT sebagai laboratorium simulasi perannya dapat menggantikan laboratorium real. Simulasi PhET memberikan kemudahan bagi peserta didik dan pengajar dalam kondisi yang terbatas pada alat dan bahan praktikum. Tujuan pengabdian adalah membantu peserta dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran dengan virtual laboratorium (PhET) sebagai pengganti praktikum dan mengetahui responss peserta terkait kegiatan PkM yang telah dilakukan di Mts Tarbiyatussibyan. Metode yang dipakai pada kegiatan pengabdian dengan melakukan pendampinganerdiri atas 3 tahapan utama yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu menggunakan simulasi PhET dengan kendala praktikum virtual tertentu yang tidak ada di materi sekolah. Peserta merasa puas terhadap pelaksanaan pengabdian simulasi PhET. Kesimpulan Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat adalah ketercapaian keberhasilan peserta terhadap pemanfaatan laboratorium virtual (PhET) dari persentase yang lebih dari 75% dengan peserta dapat mengoperasikan simulasi PhET sebagai virtual laboratorium pada smartphone sebagai pengganti praktikum real. Responss kepuasan peserta terhadap kegiatan PkM yang telah dilakukan di MTs Tarbiyatussibyan dapat dilihat bahwa dari kedelapan item penyataan, mitra pengabdian menyatakan kepuasan > 75%, dengan hasil tersebut kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat telah mencapai target tim pengabdian.

Abstract

Research on chemical literacy skills from a gender perspective on acid-base materials has been conducted at SMA Y in Lahat District. This study aimed to determine students' chemical literacy skills from a gender perspective in acid-base material. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were 28 students of class XI MIPA 1 at SMA Y in Lahat Regency, with 14 male and 14 female students. The instruments in this study were chemical literacy test questions in the form of descriptions and interview guidelines. The results of this study indicate that the chemical literacy ability of SMA Y students in the Lahat Regency is, on average, 56% in the low category. The difference in chemical literacy based on gender for male students is 54%, and for female students is 59%. The chemical literacy of female students is better than male students, with a difference of 5%, and is included in the low category. Female students were better able to answer questions that explained the concept of acids and bases, while male students were better able to answer questions on acid-base calculations

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has caused various learning changes that initially used the direct learning process to become distance learning. In this research, the researcher aims to implement e-learning through introductory physics lectures in the physics education study program for prospective science teachers. The type of research used is experimental research with a one-shot case study research design. The sample in the research is a candidate for science teacher in semester 1 (one) in the physics education study program as many as 40 students. This study uses an instrument in the form of a self-regulated learning instrument with 19 questions. The results of this study indicate that the SRL indicator is independence from others as much as 73%, 70% of students in the indicator of self-confidence, 68% behave in a disciplined manner, 68% have a sense of responsibility, the ability to control themselves is 77%, and the percentage is 79 % behave on their initiative. The application of e-learning can provide opportunities for prospective science teacher students to develop and improve Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) in the basic physics lecture process. This research implies an alternative choice of learning that can be applied in basic physics lectures to support student learning independence.

Abstract

Ethno and science provide a dimension of togetherness in the development of society's culture and science. The aim of the study was to determine the perceptions of prospective chemistry teachers towards ethnoscience in contextual-based learning. The method used in this research is qualitative. Sources of data were taken from 39 first and second level chemistry teacher candidates and then specified into seven tribes in seven districts/cities in South Sumatra. The research instruments are surveys, interviews, and observations. Data were analyzed based on an interactive analysis model. The data analysis technique is to reduce the data and then draw conclusions. This study shows a positive perception of prospective chemistry teachers towards ethnoscience, that is, they are able to understand and elaborate on the ethnoscience approach in basic science lectures. The main problem faced by prospective chemistry teachers in the ethnoscience approach is that they are not used to connecting science content based on the chemical context with local culture. Ethnoscience approach can be implemented with Contextual Learning. This learning provides an opportunity for prospective chemistry teachers to further explore the culture of the surrounding community in a more real way. Contextual Learning helps and bridges the process of discovering concepts and contexts that exist in learning.

Abstract

Changes in learning patterns at MAN 1 Palembang using a limited face-to-face system make the learning media less effective. The learning media used are still based on hardfiles, so they are less practical and flexible than digital-based learning media. Based on this, the chemistry education study program service team provided service in the form of the Canva platform for digitizing learning media. Canva assists teachers in designing and creating learning media according to the characteristics and circumstances of students. The purpose of this community service is that teachers can design digital media for learning with the Canva platform. The method used in this service is the active participation of the participants. This activity consists of 5 stages: preparation, design, presentation, work practice, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase of more than 50% during pre and post-service activities. Service activities show success, with teachers gaining knowledge and skills in designing the Canva platform for digital media that will be used in learning.  ---  Perubahan pola belajar di MAN 1 palembang yang memakai sistem tatap muka terbatas membuat media belajar yang digunakan kurang efektif. Media belajar yang digunakan masih berbasis pada hardfile sehingga tidak sepraktis dan flexibel dibandingkan media pembelajaran yang berbasis digital. Berdasarkan hal tersebut tim pengabdian prodi pendidikan kimia memberikan pengabdian berupa platform canva untuk digitalisasi media pembelajaran. Canva membantu guru dalam mendesain dan membuat media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik dan keadaan siswa. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah guru dapat mendesain media digital untuk pembelajaran dengan platform canva. Metode yang dipakai dalam pengabdian ini adalah partisipasi aktif peserta. Kegiatan ini terdiri atas 5 tahap kegiatan : persiapan, perancangan, pemaparan, praktek kerja, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih dari 50% pada saat pra dan pasca kegiatan pengabdian. Kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan keberhasilan dengan guru memperoleh pengetahuan dan memiliki keterampilan dalam desain platform canva untuk media digital yang akan digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Online learning requires students to study independently and manage lectures according to the time set. Researchers need to know the criteria for self-regulated learning of first-year students at the Physics Education Department. This paper aims to determine self-regulated learning during online learning. The study used a quantitative research approach with a survey method. The Online Self-Regulated Learning Questionnaire (OLSQ) collected the data, a 20-item scale with a 5-point Likert-type response format. The sample of this study was 131 students of physics and chemistry education study programs. Each was randomly selected to see how their respective study programs implemented independent learning activities during online learning. The results showed that each indicator of independent learning in online learning received a positive response through the OLSQ instrument that had been distributed. The disciplined behavior indicator has a higher percentage, followed by the exercise self-control indicator. Generally, the pre-service students have self-regulated learning with high criteria. This result can provide a good contribution and open for further research. The implication of this research can be a reference for lecturers to improve online and self-regulated learning quality.
