Abstract

Need for the use of reinforced concrete in housing construction will increase along with the rapid population growth. This increases the need for steel reinforcement as a major component. The increase in need for steel reinforcement will trigger a price increase so that it becomes expensive and scarce. Iron ore as a raw material for making steel reinforcement is a mineral that can not be renewed. Therefore, efforts to use alternatives to steel reinforcement in concrete. Bamboo has good mechanical properties and a high ratio between strength and weight. Bamboo has a tensile strength is high, between 100-400 MPa, nearly matching the tensile strength equivalent to steel reinforcement ½ to ¼ of iron ultimate voltage (Widjaja, 2001) and (Surjokusumo and Nugroho, 1993) showed similar results and by the Moriscos, 1996 that the tensile strength of bamboo can reach 1280 kg / cm2. Bamboo can be used as the material of reinforced concrete. This study aims to determine the capacity of the bending beam with reinforcement of bamboo, bamboo reinforced beam deflection capacity. This experiment is a concrete beam bending test. The results showed that bamboo reinforced concrete beam has a maximum capacity reached 56.61% of the maximum capacity of steel reinforced concrete.

Khusnul Prianto1, Sri Murni Dewi2 & Alwafi Pujiraharjo31, 2 & 3Fakultas Teknik Jurusan Teknik Sipil Universitas Brawijaya MalangAlamat Korespondensi : Jl. MT. Haryono No 167 Malang, Indonesiaazdotagroup@yahoo.comABSTRACTThis study aims to determine how big a role simultaneously and partially between knowledge, skills and attitude of the project manager to project success, and to know the most dominant factorthat affects the success of a project. This research uses survey research conducted at contractorcompanies in Malang. The population in this study is the management of the contractor as theproject manager supervisor leader contractor (director) or authorized by the company. Primary datawas collected through questionnaires. Secondary data obtained from the literature to form iteratur, journals, and data from agencies with an interest in this study, such as professional associations andrelated agencies. The results of descriptive analysis using respondents’ answers showed knowledge variable, variable skills, attitudes and behavior / work commitment, top management variables on averagehave an important influence to determine the success of the project. Test results using regressionanalysis and test assumptions Multiple Linear Regression analysis shows simultaneously betweenthe variables of knowledge, skills, work commitment and top management significantly influencethe success of the project amounted to 0.831. Partially between the variables of knowledge, skills, work commitment and top management significantly influence the success of the project amountedto 0.286, 0.296, 0.280 and 0.147.Dominant variable affecting the level of success of a project is a skill / expertise. Keywords: Competence, Project Manager, Contracting Company

Abstract

This study is a follow-utilization of water hyacinth as a building material wall panel (Emen wall). From previous studies, physical properties, mechanical, acoustic and endurance burn this material meets the standards of building materials PUBI 1982 and ISO and ASTM C423-90a 03-6861.1-2002. In this study, the variable still is a variation of the test specimen without reinforcement with reinforcement of bamboo and bamboo in the form of a model variation of the beam section size (15x20cm) and sectional plates (5x15cm). While the independent variable is in the form of bending strength and deflection in the test specimen. The results showed the effect of bamboo reinforcement against bending strength cement panel hyacinth. On the test object model of the beam section with bamboo reinforcement ratio r = 0, r= 0.006 and r = 0.01 , powerful bending P = 24kg, P = 59kg and P = 72kg. To model the cross section of the plate with a bamboo reinforcement ratio r = 0, r = 0.017 and r = 0.025 , stronger bending is P = 3,33kg, P = 16,33kg  and P = 21,83kg.
