Abstract

The tri core breastfeeding model is a health education model for breastfeeding mothers that includes three main aspects: lactation education, self-efficacy or increased confidence in breastfeeding mothers, and support from the surrounding environment. The importance of increasing self-confidence when breastfeeding, especially in working mothers, is something that needs to be considered. The government's efforts to increase exclusive breastfeeding coverage are contained in Government Regulation No.33/2012 on breastfeeding. This study aims to analyze the application of tri core breastfeeding models using audiovisual-based e-modules to increase the motivation of working mothers in exclusive breastfeeding. This study used a quasy experiment method with a non-equivalent control group design. The intervention group (18 people) used e-modules, while the control group used e-leaflets (18 people). Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT The tutoring center "Kenosis" in Sidoyoso, established in 2016 by GKA Gloria Pos Sidoyoso, provides free educational support for elementary school children. This program helps in the academic and character development of children, initially taught by instructors from the Inter-University Christian Fellowship (Perkantas) and now reinforced by 4 permanent teachers. In addition to the need for tutoring, children are faced with daily conditions such as unhealthy snacks, low understanding of dental hygiene, and the importance of handwashing. These bad habits increase the risk of dental caries, infectious diseases, and the consumption of harmful food additives. Education and supervision are key to improving children's health and well-being. The Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya service team, consisting of 21 lecturers and 11 students, provided solutions to the above issues to 35 elementary school children at the Kenosis tutoring center on January 9, 2025, by delivering educational materials and practicing how to choose healthy snacks, brush teeth, and wash hands properly and correctly. Knowledge of harmful food additives The average pre-test score was 60.2, while the post-test score was 70.5. Understanding of proper tooth brushing techniques pre-test result 60.0 and post-test 70.5, understanding of good and correct handwashing habits had an average pre-test score of 60.0 and a post-test score of 70.5. There was an increase in knowledge about harmful food additives, proper tooth brushing techniques, and proper handwashing at the "Kenosis GKA Gloria Pos Sidoyoso" tutoring session. Abstract

Anxiety is a common psychological disturbance experienced by mothers during the first stage of labor, with a particularly high prevalence. This condition is primarily triggered by the intensity of pain and various other psychological and physical stressors, which can negatively impact the progression of labor. Immediate intervention is therefore crucial to mitigate potential risks to both maternal and fetal safety. The study's theoretical basis posits that therapeutic sounds, such as nature and flute music, can stimulate the hypothalamus, which in turn regulates the body's stress response and leads to a reduction in cortisol levels. This physiological change was hypothesized to directly mitigate the psychological distress and anxiety experienced by laboring women. This research aimed to analyze the effect of a combined nature and flute music therapy on anxiety levels in women during the first stage of labor. A one-group pre-test/post-test design was implemented, and the study's population consisted of women in the first stage of labor at TPMB Afah Fahmi. A purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of 31 respondents based on specific criteria. The independent variable was the music combination, and the dependent variable was the anxiety level, which was measured using the PASS questionnaire. The results demonstrated a significant effect of the intervention (p=0.000). Before the therapy, the majority of participants experienced moderate anxiety, which dramatically decreased following the intervention, with nearly half of the respondents reporting only mild anxiety. In conclusion, the combination of nature and flute music serves as an effective, non-pharmacological intervention for reducing anxiety. It is recommended that future studies conduct larger, controlled trials to further investigate this therapy and its potential for broader application in maternal healthcare.
