Abstract

Rumah gadang merupakan salah satu wujud (puncak) kebudayaan Minangkabau. Dalam pemahaman masyarakatnya rumah gadang tidak hanya dimaknai sebagai tempat berteduh atau berlindung semata, tetapi lebih dari itu (rumah gadang) juga dipahami sebagai tempat untuk kembali pulang serta tempat untuk menjaga anak keturunan mulai dari lahir, menikah hingga menutup usia. Selain itu, rumah gadang juga dipahami sebagai wadah pemersatu dan lambang bagi satu keluarga (suku). Tahun 2013 merupakan tahun yang berat bagi Nagari Sumpu, Kabupaten Tanah Datar, Provinsi Sumatera Barat serta dunia arsitektur Indonesia, dimana 5 dari beberapa rumah gadang yang masih bertahan di Nagari tersebut habis dimakan api. Kini, 2 dari 5 rumah gadang yang terbakar tersebut sudah berhasil dirampungkan pembangunannya. Secara sederhana, rekonstruksi rumah gadang ini merupakan kegiatan pembangunan rumah gadang pertama (setidaknya sejak 85 tahun terakhir). Penelitian ini mencoba mengetahui persepsi masyarakat Nagari Sumpu kini pasca dibangunnya kembali 2 rumah gadang yang terbakar tersebut. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mencoba untuk melihat faktor-faktor penyebab banyaknya rumah gadang yang mulai ditinggalkan oleh pemiliknya.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of Emotional Intelligence on physical education learning outcomes during the pandemic. This type of quantitative research uses a correlation research design with a causal associative method. The population in this study amounted to 62 people. The sampling technique used total sampling technique, which is a sampling technique that provides equal opportunities for each element/member of the population to be selected as a member of the sample, while the number of samples in this study was 62 people. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by multiple regression of two predictors. Based on the results of data analysis shows that: Variable emotional intelligence has a significant effect on learning outcomes of physical education. This means that the higher the emotional intelligence, the better the physical education learning outcomes. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Learning Motivation and Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Kampung kota memiliki pengaruh yang besar terhadap dinamika pertumbuhan sebuah kota, walaupun keberadaannya terkadang tidak diimbangi dengan perkembangan infrastruktur didalamnya. Dalam kesehariannya, kepadatan dalam kampung kota telah menuai permasalahan, baik yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan fisik maupun kondisi sosial budaya ekonomi penduduknya. Meskipun secara fisik kampung kota terlihat tidak teratur, tetapi sesungguhnya kampung kota memiliki kemampuan yang unik dalam mengikuti perubahan yang terjadi tersebut. Kampung Jao yang menjadi lokus dalam penelitian ini adalah merupakan salah satu wujud kampung kota yang terdapat di kota Padang. Melalui metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menemukan wujud komplekstitas dan dinamika Kampung Jao sebagai salah satu kampung kota yang masih bertahan di dalam kawasan kota Padang.

Abstract

Medan State Polytechnic (Polmed) Polmed plans to become a green campus by 2025. This research examines Polmed's readiness in accordance with the UI GreenMetric indicators in the transportation category, by collecting primary and secondary data which is analyzed using qualitative and quantitative methods. With a land area of ± 84,420.74 m² and a total campus population of 6,748 people with a distribution of Polmed personnel and academic data, the total number of students is 6,270 people and the number of lecturers, educational staff and administrative staff is 478 people in 2022/2023, producing results research based on the UI GrreenMetric indicator that there is still low availability of environmentally friendly transportation systems in the Polmed campus area, namely the absence of an emission-free vehicle policy and the absence of initiatives to reduce private vehicles in the Polmed campus area. The program to limit or reduce parking areas on campus over the last 3 years has resulted in a reduction in parking areas of 10 - 30%. Even though pedestrian paths are available, only a few areas are said to be safe and comfortable, but are not yet friendly for people with disabilities. From the overall indicator, the score obtained was 725 out of 1,800 or 40.28% in the transportation category. To increase the percentage, efforts can be made to implement the use of electric vehicles, redesign pedestrian paths that are safe, comfortable and accessible for people with disabilities and redesign parking lots by creating multi-level parking

Abstract

Abstrak— Politeknik Negeri Medan (Polmed) sebagai salah satu institusi pendidikan vokasi yang ada di Sumatera Utara diharapkan akan terus berkembang menjadi perguruan vokasi yang unggul dan sudah harus mengambil kebijakan pengembangan kampus yang berwawasan lingkungan dan pembangunan yang berkelanjutan, Renstra Polmed mencanangkan menjadi kampus hijau pada tahun 2025. Penelitian ini mengkaji kesiapan Polmed sesuai dengan indikator UI GreenMetric pada kategori transportasi, dengan pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder yang dilakukan analisis dengan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Dengan luas lahan ± 84.420,74 m² dan jumlah total penduduk kampus sebanyak 6.748 orang dengan sebaran data kepegawaian dan akademik Polmed jumlah keseluruhan mahasiswa sebanyak 6.270 orang dan jumlah Dosen, Tenaga kependidikan, dan Staff administrasi sebanyak 478 orang pada tahun 2022/2023, menghasilkan hasil penelitian berdasarkan indikator UI GrreenMetric masih rendahnya ketersediaan sistem transportasi ramah lingkungan di kawasan kampus Polmed yaitu belum tersedianya kebijakan kendaraan bebas emisi dan  belum adanya inisiatif pengurangan kendaraan pribadi di kawasan kampus Polmed. Program pembatasan atau pengurangan area parkir di kampus selama 3 tahun terakhir menghasilkan penurunan area parkir sebesar 10 - 30%. Walaupun sudah tersediah jalur pejalan kaki hanya beberapa area yang sudah dikatakan aman dan nyaman, tetapi belum ramah bagi penyandang disabilitas, dari keseluruhan indikatornya nilai yang didapat 725 dari 1.800 atau sebesar 40,28% dalam kategori transportasi. Untuk meningkatkan persentase dapat dilakukan upaya menerapkan penggunaan kendaraan listrik, meredesain jalur pejalan kaki yang aman, nyaman dan dapat diakses bagi penyandang disabilitas dan meredesain lahan parkir dengan membuat parkir bertingkat atau ground parking.

Abstract

The role of a project manager is a crucial factor that influences project success. To achieve project success, it is necessary to have project managers who possess the appropriate competencies to carry out their tasks. Respondents in this study are individuals who are directly involved and responsible for the implementation of railway projects in West Sumatra Province, totaling 61 people. Data collection was done by administering questionnaires to the research respondents. The data analysis used descriptive analysis to summarize and describe the data, while multiple linear regression was used to understand the relationship between independent variables (knowledge, skills, attitudes, behavior) and dependent variables (project success). Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that factors such as knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors have a significant impact on the success of railway projects in West Sumatra. The skill factor of project managers is the most dominant factor influencing the level of project success, with a contribution of 23.8%.

Abstract

Communication management is considered as an important factor related to performance improvement in construction projects. This study aims to identify and determine communication management practices (CMP) in construction projects correlated to project outcomes (PO). Data were obtained from 209 questionnaires distributed to contractors and consultants in the West Sumatra province. The research questionnaire was divided into two components the respondent's profile and four PMK factors, namely Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Communication Skills and Competence (CSC), Communication Management Plan (CMP) and Team Work (TW). Each factor has 4-5 statement items. In terms of project results, it was seen from the project scope, cost, time, quality and safety level. Data were analyzed using Principle Axis Factoring (PAF). The next analysis was the Spearman correlation to evaluate the relationship between each CMP factor and PO. The results showed that there was a strong positive correlation between the three CMP factors (ICT, CSC and TW) and PO. Conversely, no relationship was found between the CMP factor and PO. The may not be fully generalized due to some limitations. However, it helps construction practitioners to recognize the communication aspects that could be improved and strengthened to increase performance of the project.

Abstract

Green Campus is a concept that supports sustainable and environmentally sound development by involving the academic community in the campus environment. In its strategic plan, the Medan State Polytechnic (Polmed) campus proclaimed to become a green campus in 2025. The efforts made by the Polmed campus to participate in sustainable development and become a green campus are by participating in the UI Green Metric World University Ranking program. In this program, one of the assessment indicator is setting and infrastructure, with 11 assessment criteria; the ratio of open space to campus area, total campus area covered by forest vegetation, total campus area covered by plant vegetation, total campus area for water absorption, total open space area to campus population, percentage of campus budget for sustainable efforts, percentage of building operation and maintenance activities in one year, campus facilities for the disabled, special needs, security and safety facilities, health infrastructure, conservation programs. This study aims to determine the Polmed campus score on setting and infrastructure indicators. By using quantitative methods, the results showed that Polmed campus has 8 criteria out of 11 required criteria. The score obtained by Polmed campus is 440 out of 1500 points. To increase the score can be implemented; vertical garden or rooftop garden on plant vegetation criteria (SI 3), making biopore infiltration holes and replacing paving blocks with grass blocks on water catchment area criteria (SI 4), installing guiding blocks and making ramps for disabled facilities criteria (SI 8), and blocking space for emergency rooms and lactation rooms on Health infrastructure criteria (SI 10).

Abstract

The city highway for the city of Padang is a traffic route in West Sumatra province that is mostly passed by motorized vehicles and vehicles with four or more axes. Rigid pavement is a type of pavement that uses concrete as the main material of pavement and is one of the types of road pavement used, in addition to flexible pavement. The purpose of this study is to find out the types of damage that exist on the rigid pavement surface layer and to find out the value of the pavement condition or the level of damage that occurs on the rigid pavement surface on the city highway section for STA 02+000-STA 07+000 and to find out the type of maintenance program that is in accordance with the condition of the road. The methods used are road condition analysis using the pavament condition index (PCI) method, calculating the damage level (density), determining the deduct value of each type of damage, calculating the alowable maximum deduct value (m), determining the total deduct value (TDV), determining the corrected deduct value (CDV) and calculating the PCI (pavament condition index) value. Overall for each segment, the results are: segment 1 STA 02+000-STA 03+000 PCI value = 82.2 (very good), segment 2 STA 03+000-STA 04+000 PCI value = 86.2 (perfect), segment 3 STA 04+000-STA 05+000 PCI value = 82.8 (very good), segment 4 STA 05+000-STA 06+000 PCI value = 79.6 (very good), segment 5 STA 06+000-STA 07+000 PCI value 84.2 (very good). The value of the pavament condition index (PCI) from all segments, then the condition of the city highway for STA 02+000-STA 07+000 with an overall PCI value of 83 (very good) with a routine maintenance program, road cleaning from rock or soil fall, surface patching and crack closure.

Abstract

Development of the Gn. Sahilan since it’s inception, has experienced various important events. The changes in space and time that occur in the timeline are a reflection of life at that time. This research aims to identify the elements that formed the Kingdom of Gn. Sahilan and what factors influence its development. The research was carried out qualitatively using a rationalistic approach, through reading fragments of the timeline drawn diachronically to obtain an overview of the elements that formed the Kingdom of Gn. Sahilan that changes, disappears or survives. Through a period of time, the elements that formed the Kingdom of Gn. Sahilan consists of docks, markets, goods collection points, government areas, industrial areas, residential areas, railway lines, plantations, and circulation patterns. As time went by the elements that formed the Kingdom of Gn. Sahilan experienced development which was influenced by several factors including geographical conditions, technology, globalization, colonial invasion, government regulations, and infrastructure development.
