Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this service is to optimize the potential of natural and human resources so that they have better economic value. In this case, Milkfish in Balongan District. Balongan District is located in Indramayu Regency, West Java. Balongan is a coastal area with the majority of its people's livelihood as fishermen, Milkfish is an abundant commodity, especially when the harvest comes, this makes milkfish have a low selling price. The implementation method uses PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) with the object of activity being the community while lecturers and students as facilitators, while the stages of the activities are 1) potential analysis, 2) preparation of activity plans, 3) inauguration, 4) training, and 5) evaluation and follow-up. The entrepreneur product as a result of this service activity is shredded milkfish (BonDeng), the product is made on a small scale then tested organolepticn, After that, together with the Balongan fishing community, the product is made on a medium scale and marketed. The resulting product is still one type and more varied products are needed. Evaluation of Shredded Milkfish (BonDeng) still needs to improve the quality of oil drying and packaging so that a better product will be obtained. Abstrak. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengoptimalkan potensi Sumber Daya Alam dan manusia sehingga memiliki nilai ekonomi yang lebih baik. Dalam hal ini Ikan Bandeng di Kecamatan Balongan. Kecamatan Balongan terletak di Kabupaten Indramayu, Jawa barat. Balongan merupakan daerah pesisir dengan mayoritas pencaharian masyarakatnya sebagai nelayan, ikan bandeng merupakan komoditi yang melimpah apalagi saat panen datang, hal ini menjadikan ikan bandeng memiliki harga jual yang rendah. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan PRA (Participatori Rural Appraisal) dengan pelaku utama atau objek kegiatan adalah masyarakat sedangkan dosen dan mahasiswa sebagai fasilitator, adapun tahapan kegiatannya yaitu 1) analisa potensi, 2) penyusunan perencanaan kegiatan, 3) penyukuhan, 4) pelatihan, dan 5) evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Produk enterpreneur hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah abon ikan bandeng (BonDeng), produk dibuat dalam skala kecil kemudian diuji organoleptik, setelah itu bersama dengan komunitas nelayan Balongan produk dibuat dalam skala menengah dan dipasarkan. Produk yang dihasilkan masih satu jenis dan dibutuhkan produk yang lebih variatif. Evaluasi abon Bandeng (BonDeng) masih perlu ditingkatkan kualitas pengeringan minyak dan pengemasan sehingga akan didapatkan produk yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The importance of Science process skills (SPS) in education is that as SPS develops, essential competencies will also improve, including students' scientific attitudes and problem-solving skills. SPS are still rarely assessed because teachers generally measure only cognitive learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry model on students' science process skills through a reflex movement practicum at SMAN 1 Lohbener. This quantitative research uses a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control design. The population of this study consists of XI MIPA, with the sample being class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental group with 16 students and XI MIPA 2 as the control group with 20 students. The instrument used was an essay test sheet on SPS based on five indicators: observing, classifying, predicting, concluding, and communicating (Hastuti & Wiyanto, 2019). The research results showed that the average score for the experimental class was 13,56, while the control class scored 10,95, with a significant level (α) = 0,05, S2gab = 6,48, tcount = 3,06 and t-table = 2,03. Because tcount > table, thus, hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. That means the guided inquiry model affects students' science process skills in the reflex movement practicum at SMAN 1 Lohbener.

Abstract

Masyarakat Desa Tanjungpura, Indramayu mayoritas berprofesi sebagai petani, dengan komoditi utamanya adalah padi, sedangkan untuk tanaman sayuran masih jarang dibudidayakan karena rumitnya perawatan. Sayuran sendiri memiliki manfaat yang banyak untuk kesehatan tubuh. Selain itu, limbah anorganik dari rumah tangga yang berupa botol bekas minuman dan styrofoam masih belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat sehingga dapat mencemari lingkungan.  Di Desa Tanjungpura memiliki potensi dengan adanya Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) namun pengetahuan tentang budidaya sayuran dengan teknik hidroponik masih kurang sehingga diperlukan penyuluhan dan pelatihan budidaya sayuran dengan teknik hidroponik water culture dengan memanfaatkan limbah anorganik. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan metode pemaparan materi kemudian diskusi secara interaktif dengan bahan yang dikaji adalah tentang lingkungan bersih, bahaya limbah anorganik, manfaat sayuran bagi kesehatan tubuh dan cara budidaya sayuran dengan hidroponik. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan metode praktek langsung secara berkelompok. Hasil yang didapatkan setelah penyuluhan masyarakat Desa Tanjungpura menjadi lebih memahami bahaya limbah anorganik sehingga harus menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan limbah anorganik menjadi lebih bernilai contohnya sebagai media tanam hidroponik. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan masyarakat menjadi lebih terampil dalam mengaplikasikan teknik hidroponik water culter untuk budidaya sayuran. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat menjadi meningkat setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan pelatihan budidaya sayuran dengan teknik hidroponik water culter yang memanfaatkan limbah anorganik rumah tangga. Untuk selanjutnya dapat dilakukan kegiatan penyuluhan pemilihan nutrisi hidroponik dan pemasaran hasilnya sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat

Abstract

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Integrated Terminal Balongan aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan Corporate Social Responsibility yang juga ikut ambil bagian dalam pelaksanaan PROPER. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keanekaragaman flora dan fauna dan kondisi habitat di sekitar kawasan kegiatan perusahaan. Metode penelitian dengan menggunakan observasi langsung dan tidak langsung. Analisis data dengan menghitung indeks ekologi dan juga status konservasi dari flora dan fauna berdasarkan IUCN, CITES, dan PerMen LHK No. 16 Tahun 2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan indeks ekologi flora dan fauna baik in-situ maupun ek-situ berada pada kategori rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Beberapa flora dan fauna yang ditemukan di kawasan tersebut masuk ke dalam hewan yang statusnya terancam.

Abstract

Learning tools can assist teachers in facilitating achievement during the learning process. At that time, the learning tools utilized still relied upon the pre-existing 2013 curriculum, lacking the incorporation of higher-order thinking Skills (HOTS) indicators for critical thinking skills, particularly in the context of immune system material. Therefore, research was conducted to create a learning tool immunity that was based on HOTS. The objectives of this study were as follows: 1) To analyze the requirement of HOTS-based biology learning tools in the immune system material for class XI in SMA/MA; 2) To design the product development for HOTS-based biology learning tools in class XI immune system material in SMA/MA; 3) To validating HOTS-based biology learning tool products in class XI immune system material in SMA/MA. This study employed the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) a model for instructional design. However, this research was conducted only up to the development stage of the ADDIE model. The sample comprised five experts and three practitioners, namely biology learning experts, lecturers’ teachers, and language experts. The purposive sampling technique was employed in this research. The instruments used included product validation sheets and interview sheets. Data collection methods involved distributing product validation sheets and conducting interviews with validators. This research produces a HOTS-based immunity learning tool product which generally falls into the very valid category with a percentage of 94.56%. It means that the development product is valid for use in biology learning at the SMA/MA level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students’ habits of mind in learning biology Animalia material at Class X MIPA 5 SMAN 1 Indramayu. There is still little information about the habits of mind in biology learning that students currently have and habits of mind in biology learning are still less considered and developed. This research is a type of qualitative research. The subjects of this study were students in class X MIPA 5 SMAN I Indramayu consisting of 32 respondents, using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were habits of mind questionnaire sheet with a Likert scale measurement and a validated unstructured interview sheet. Habits of Mind in the study consisted of 12 indicators, adapted from Costa and Callik, and Marzano. It consists of primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques were conducted by distributing questionnaires to students and filling out a list of interview questions. Data analysis has three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The Miles & Huberman model was used as a data analysis technique. This type of interactive model has three stages, namely: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that students' habits of mind in class X MIPA 5 SMAN 1 Indramayu in learning biology material Animalia, in general, is included in the very good category with a percentage level of 85%. This means that students in class X MIPA 5 SMAN 1 Indramayu already have a very good habit of mind attitude in the biology learning process.
