Abstract

This research proposes the application of an automatic tap device at the GBI Tanjung Pasir Church based on an Arduino Uno with an SR04 ultrasonic sensor. Water is the main need for living creatures, especially humans, and most people think that water is a natural resource that is unlimited in quantity. Currently, the operation of tap water is done manually; people often forget to turn off the tap water when the water is full, which causes the water to overflow in the bathtub and waste water in vain, indirectly results in wastage of water, and is very less efficient. An effective way to overcome this is to set the water level limit in the bathtub. In this thesis, an automatic faucet is used using an ultrasonic sensor, namely a sensor that will detect and release or turn off water automatically by activating the primary media using a solenoid valve. The results of this research show that the sensor on the faucet can automatically solve the problem of filling the bathtub when the water level is below a predetermined limit and will stop filling when it reaches the full limit. Having an automatic faucet makes it easier for users to fill and close water without having to monitor it while preventing wastage of water in the bathtub. With an automatic faucet, it is hoped that it can prevent wastage of water in the bathtub due to the user's negligence.

Abstract

Presence is a procedure or process that needs to be carried out by all employees or members of a company or agency. The attendance register is a reference and benchmark for assessing, measuring, and determining the quality and quantity of each member or employee of the company or agency. Presentations carried out manually are considered less effective and efficient in terms of time and usage. So it is necessary to build an intelligent attendance system, one of which is by creating an intelligent attendance system that uses IoT-based fingerprint recognition technology with an Arduino controller and outputs to an Internet or intranet server. Based on the results obtained in the research, administrators can float their side servers freely. The time for sending data from the presence device to the server uses the POST method, with an average time of 8 seconds on an intranet network with a maximum distance of 25 meters from the wireless router or access point. By creating this attendance system, it makes it easier for the Surya Pematangsiantar Education Foundation to record the attendance of teachers and staff, especially SMK units.

Abstract

The increase in the number of inmates in Indonesia, particularly in Pematangsiantar City, is a significant social issue. In this context, it is important to predict inmate levels based on demographic factors, including gender. One promising approach is the use of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) with the Backpropagation Conjugate Gradient (BPCG) algorithm. ANN is a computational model that mimics the way the human brain processes information and has been used in various applications, including crime prediction. The BPCG algorithm is a variant of the backpropagation algorithm that efficiently accelerates the convergence of ANN training. This study aims to implement ANN with the BPCG algorithm to predict inmate levels in Pematangsiantar City based on gender and to evaluate the performance of this model in the context of available crime data. MATLAB (version 7.13 R2011b) was used as a tool, employing five model architectures (7-3-1, 7-5-1, 7-11-1, 7-12-1, and 7-15-1) to test data for estimation/prediction. The best model, 7-12-1, achieved 100% accuracy with 16 iterations in less than 1 second and an MSE of 0.1477446359. With 100% accuracy, this model will be used to predict the number of inmates in Pematangsiantar City by gender in 2023. This study can make a significant contribution to the fields of criminology and data analysis and serve as a reference for future research on the use of artificial intelligence in legal and criminal contexts.

Abstract

Dalam kenyataannya Pertambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (PETI) yang ada di Kabupaten Pasaman Barat semakin banyak terjadi. Undang-Undang Nomor 3 tahun 2020 tentang perubahan atas Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 2009 Tentang Mineral dan Batu bara sudah jelas melarang kegitan Pertambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (PETI). Kegiatan dari para penambangan yang tidak memiliki izin ini sudah menjadi perkerjaan utama/ tetap. Dalam hal tertangkap tangan, maka yang dijerat adalah para pekerja saja tanpa menangkap pemilik modal yang selalu lepas dari jerat hukum. Kompleksitas masalah PETI merupakan masalah belum dapat di tuntaskan pada saat ini, penegakan hukum oleh Pihak Kepolisaan Resor Pasaman Barat sangat diperlukan dalam upaya mencegah kerusakan lingkungan hidup dan memberi efek jera. Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yuridis emapiris maka penelitin ini bersifat deskriptif yaitu penelitian yang menjelaskan dalam bentuk kalimat yang jelas dan rinci tentang Penegakan Hukum Tindak Pidana Pertambangan Emas Tanpa Izin Di Wilayah Hukum Kepolisian Pasaman Barat. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui Penegakan Hukum Terhadap Tindak Pidana Pertambangan Emas Tanpa Izin di Wilayah Hukum Kepolisian Pasaman Barat adalah tindakan atau usaha negara berdasarkan perangkatnya yang dimulai dari. 1) Pengaturan hukum yang megatur tentang pertambangan emas tanpa izin dan aturan pidana yang akan dikenakan terhadap pelaku pertambangan emas tanpa izin. 2) Struktur hukum dalam penegakan hukum agar pelaksanaan penegakan hukum dapat terlaksana mulai dari penyelidikan sampai adanya putusan yang memberikan hukuman yang harus dijalani oleh pelaku pertambangan emas tanpa izin. 3) Serta pandangan masyakat terhadap penegakan hukum oleh dalam melakukan penegakan hukum terhadap pelaku pertambangan tanpa izin, dan masyarakat juga ikut serta dalam melakukan pencegahan terhadap kegiatan pertambangan emas tanpa izin tersebut dengan cara melaporkan apabila mengetahui terjadinya kegiatan pertambangan emas tanpa izin kepada pihak penegak hukum.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to cluster the number of cell phone signal reception in North Sumatra. The source of the data used is obtained from BPS. The variable used is the number of cell phone reception signals in North Sumatra. This research uses Data Mining Technique with K-means algorithm. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide input to the North Sumatra Province in order to determine the reception of cellular telephone signals, so as to increase the growth and development of telephone signal reception in North Sumatra. And 4G/LTE data obtained that there are 4 high clusters, namely (Mandailing Natal, Simalungun, Deli Serdang, Padang Lawas), 17 medium clusters, namely (Nias, South Tapanuli, Labuan Batu, Humbang Hasundutan, West Pakpak, Samosir, Labuhan Batu, South , Labuhan Batu Utara, North Nias, West Nias, Sibolga, Tanjung Balai, Pematangsiantar, Tebing Tinggi, Binjai, Padang Sidempuan, Gunung Sitoli), and there are 2 low clusters (Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli, Toba, Asahan, Dairi, Karo , Langkat, South Nias, Serdang Bedagai, Batu Bara, North Padang Lawas, Medan).

Abstract

Human development is a major goal to measure the success of a country. One of the important aspects to measure the level of human development is a society that is superior in terms of quantity and quality, then viewed from the three dimensions of life, namely life opportunities, knowledge, and a decent life. This study discusses the use of the k-means algorithm to group districts/cities in North Sumatra based on the similarity of regional characteristics in terms of four measures of the Human Development Index (IPM). The four measures are Life Expectancy (AHH), Literacy Rate (AMH), Average Length of Schooling (RLS), and Expenditure Per Capita (PPK). Based on the Human Development Index, Life Expectancy, Literacy Rate, Average Years of Schooling and Per Capita Expenditure figures, it is concluded that there are significant differences.

Abstract

Laying the position of the access point on the Wi-Fi network in a room is needed to optimize the signal strength received from the transmitter to the receiver. The parameters that determine the performance of the access point is the value of the signal strength. Strong or weak a signal access point will be affected by distance and barriers that exist between the access point and a client that accesses the access point. This study has been performed several simulations in multiple rooms are placed the access point to the receiver. The parameters used to measure the signal strength using inSSIDer applications that generate value RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication) of a transmitter to the receiver and barriers (barriers) that may influence the strength of the signal. From this research strength of the signal received by the receiver not only in pengaruhui by the distance between accespoint to the recipient, but rather influenced by barriers (barriers) which is in a room. From the results of the research are expected to be able to obtain appropriate modeling to optimize access point placement position using the Simulate annealing method.

Abstract

Backpropagation is an artificial neural network that has the architecture in conducting training and determining the right parameters to produce the correct output of similar but not the same input. One of the parameters that influences the determination of bacpropagation architecture is the rate of learning, where if the value of the learning rate is too high then the network architecture becomes unstable otherwise if the value of the learning rate is too low the network architecture converges and takes a long time in training network architecture. This research data is secondary data sourced from UCI Data Mechine Learning. The best network architecture in this study is 13-10-3, with different learning rates ranging from 0.01, 0.03, 0.06, 0.01, 0.13, 0.16, 0.2, 0.23, 0.026, 0.3, 0.35, 0.4, 0.45, 0.5, 0.55, 0.6, 0.65, 0.7, 0.75, 0.8, 0.9. From the 21 different learning rate values in the 13-10-3 network architecture, it is found that the level of learning rate is very important to get the right and fast network architecture. This can be seen in experiments with a learning rate of 0.65 can produce a better level of accuracy compared to a learning rate smaller than 0.65.
