Abstract

Stress is a condition that affects emotions, thought processes and individual conditions. When an employee faces stressed, it will be able to interfere with the individual's ability to deal with the surrounding environment and it’s work. There are a number of working conditions that often cause stress for employees, including excessive workload, pressure or time pressure, poor quality of supervision, unsafe climate, insufficient feedback on work performance, ambiguity of roles, frustration, conflict b between groups, interpersonal conflict, differences between company and employee values. Job stress cannot be ignored because it can interfere health, but this can be prevented or anticipated through time management training to reduce stress. Time management is a skill related to all the efforts and actions of an employee that are carried out in a well planned, so that the individual can use time effectively and efficiently. After training conducted, the results are able to reduce stress of PT. XYZ Palm Plantation’s employee, which is described in the evaluation response paper.

Abstract

Rancangan penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah keefektifan pelatihan manajemen waktu terhadap stres mahasiswa yang bekerja di PT. Sugih Riesta Jaya. Teknik perolehan sampel penelitian ini dengan purposive sampling. Desain eksperimental Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Populasi dari penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang berkuliah sambil bekerja di PT. Sugih Riesta Jaya. Sampel penelitian 20 orang yang selanjutnya akan dibagi kedalam dua kelompok, yaitu 10 orang ke dalam kelompok eksperimen yang terdiri atas 4 pria dan 6 wanita yang akan diberikan perlakuan secara bertahap dan 10 orang dalam kelompok kontrol yang terdiri atas 4 pria dan 6 wanita yang tidak diberikan treatment. data pada penelitian ini dikumpul menggunakan skala tingkat stress dan juga teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dengan SPSS Statistik versi 21. Dari perbandian nilai uji t dapat terlihat dari data yang telah didapatkan pada kelompok eksperimen dimana hasil thitung 4,775 dengan signifikan 0,001 dan pada kelompok kontrol, didapatkan thitung 0,500 dengan signifikan 0,629. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah diperoleh, terlihat terdapat adanya perbedaan penurunan tingkat stres terhadap kelompok yang telah menjalankan pelatihan dan kelompok yang tidak menjalankan pelatihan.

Abstract

A company really needs organizational commitment, that is, employees have a sense of trust in the company, are loyal, and participate or contribute to achieving company goals. Likewise in retail industry, namely products that are produced and distributed in large and mass quantities to be consumed by final consumers in small quantities according to the needs of these consumers. Retail companies seek to improve their human resources to foster the organizational commitment of their employees. Human resources are the most valuable asset in an organization. Aware of the importance of human resources as the industry's main capital asset, it is a concern for the retail industry management by providing training to strengthen leadership in the organizational structure. One form of leadership training needed to emulate employees is through transformational leadership. Transformational leadership training is carried out to stimulate employee affective commitment

Abstract

Untuk mengenali ikatan antara perilaku konsumtif dengan kontrol diri merupakan tujuan dari riset ini. Hipotesis riset ini merupakan ada ikatan negatif antara kontrol diri dengan perilaku konsumtif, dengan kontrol diri yang lebih besar terpaut dengan kecenderungan perilaku konsumtif yang lebih rendah serta kontrol diri yang lebih rendah terpaut dengan kecenderungan perilaku konsumtif yang lebih besar 195 orang tercantum dalam purposive sampling dari sampel riset. Tata cara korelasi pearson product moment digunakan buat menganalisis informasi. Penemuan mengatakan koefisien korelasi 0,653 dengan tingkatan signifikansi 0,001 (p< 0,050).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between parental interpersonal communication and aggressiveness in adolescent. The hypothesis of this study stated that there was a negative relationship between parental interpersonal communication and aggressiveness in adolescent with the assumption the higher parental interpersonal communication, the lower the aggressiveness in adolescent and the lower the parental interpersonal communication, the higher the aggressiveness in adolescent. The subjects of the study are 139 students at Yos Sudarso Medan. Data were obtained from scales to measure parental interpersonal communication with aggressiveness in adolescent. The calculation was done by conducting prerequisite test analysis (assumption test) consisting of normality test and linearity test. The analysis of the data was performed using Product Moment correlation with SPSS 20 for Windows. The results of data analysis showed that the correlation coefficient was -0,696 with significance value with p=0.000 (p <0.05). It showed that there was a negative relationship between parental interpersonal communication and aggressiveness in adolescent. The results of this study indicated that the contribution given parental interpersonal communication variables on aggressiveness in adolescent was by 48,4 percent and the remaining 51,6 percent influenced by other factors not examined. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the hypothesis was accepted, there was a negative relationship between parental interpersonal communication and aggressiveness in adolescent.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan, yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran kepemimpinan karismatik gereja dan gambaran kepuasan jemaat gereja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan populasi yang berjumlah 1200 jemaat GBI Medan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 270 orang dengan metode penyebaran kuesioner dan media Google Form. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Pengujian validitas dilakukan dengan menggunakan corrected item-total correlation yang pelaksanaannya menggunakan fasilitas komputer program SPSS for Windows versi 25. Uji reliabilitas dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Alpha Cronbach. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan kepuasan pelayanan pada jemaat Gereja Bethel Indonesia Medan berada pada kategori tinggi yaitu sebanyak 91.5% atau 247 dari 270 subjek. Dilihat dari kategorisasi data kepuasan pelayanan tidak ditemukan subjek dengan kepuasan pelayanan kategori rendah, sebanyak 8,5 % atau 23 subyek pada kategori sedang dan sebanyak 91,5 % dalam kategori tinggi. Kemudian untuk hasil penelitian variabel gaya kepemimpiman karismatik ditemukan sebanyak 88,9% atau 240 orang berada pada kategori tinggi, sebanyak 11,1 % atau 30 subjek dengan kategori sedang dan tidak ditemukan subyek dengan gaya kepemimpinan karismatik rendah. Jadi, disimpulkan bahwasanya kepuasan jemaat tinggi terhadap pelayanan gereja, demikian juga dengan gaya kepemimpinan karismatik yang berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini tinggi.

Abstract

The purpose of conducting this research is to test and analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and learning motivation in students of the Faculty of Psychology, Prima Indonesia University. The use of purposive sampling as a sampling technique, amounting to 279 active students of the Faculty of Psychology at Prima Indonesia University Medan. Research data collection utilizes a self-efficacy scale which includes 12 items and a learning motivation scale of 28 items. This study uses analytical techniques, namely Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results of this study show that self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on learning motivation of 0.832 with a significant p = 0.000. Indicating that higher self-efficacy causes higher learning motivation as well.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between corporate governance attributes (such as political connections, proportion of women, multiethnicity, family ownership, and board composition) with CSRD quality. The independent variables for this study are gathered from the 2023 annual reports of each listed company on the IDX. Meanwhile, the dependent variable, CSRD quality, is summarized from the environmental and social disclosures present in these annual reports. The disclosed information is then converted into a percentage to represent the score of CSR disclosure quality. The research sample was 460 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2023. The association between corporate governance attributes and CSRD quality examined using multiple regression. The outcomes of the multiple regression analysis reveal that the political connection of the board of commissioners (PCOBC) and the composition of the board of directors (TCOBD) significantly impact CSRD quality among the 460 Indonesian publicly listed companies in the year 2023.DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/afr.v7i2.12668

Abstract

Work stress and emotional intelligence were crucial factors in determining individual performance dynamics in various environments, especially in work and academic contexts. High levels of work stress negatively impacted individual well-being, while emotional intelligence played a role in effectively managing pressure. This study aimed to analyze the influence of work stress and emotional intelligence on the dependent variable to understand how these two factors interacted in shaping individual responses to pressure. This study used a quantitative approach with regression analysis to identify the relationship between the examined variables. The results showed that work stress had a positive and significant influence on the dependent variable, while emotional intelligence had a negative and significant influence. Individuals with high levels of work stress tended to experience an increase in the dependent variable, whereas individuals with high emotional intelligence were better able to manage pressure and reduce its impact on the dependent variable. The implications of this study emphasized the importance of organizational strategies in managing work stress and enhancing emotional intelligence to create a healthier and more productive environment in both the workplace and academic settings, as well as opening opportunities for further research by adding other relevant variables. Stres kerja dan kecerdasan emosional menjadi faktor krusial dalam menentukan dinamika kinerja individu di berbagai lingkungan terutama dalam konteks pekerjaan dan akademik. Tingginya tingkat stres kerja berdampak negatif terhadap kesejahteraan individu sedangkan kecerdasan emosional berperan dalam mengelola tekanan secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh stres kerja dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap variabel dependen guna memahami bagaimana kedua faktor tersebut berinteraksi dalam membentuk respons individu terhadap tekanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regresi untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara variabel yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan stres kerja memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel dependen sedangkan kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan. Individu dengan tingkat stres kerja tinggi cenderung mengalami peningkatan dalam variabel dependen sedangkan individu dengan kecerdasan emosional tinggi lebih mampu mengelola tekanan dan mengurangi dampaknya terhadap variabel dependen. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya strategi organisasi dalam mengelola stres kerja dan meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional untuk menciptakan lingkungan lebih sehat dan produktif baik di dunia kerja maupun dalam setting akademik serta membuka peluang penelitian lanjutan dengan menambahkan variabel lain yang relevan.

Abstract

Work-family conflict has been a significant challenge for workers, especially women who have dual responsibilities in both work and family. This conflict negatively impacted job satisfaction, which ultimately affected employee performance and well-being. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between work-family conflict and job satisfaction among female DPRD members in Nias. The research employed a quantitative approach using Pearson correlation and partial correlation analysis to examine the relationships between variables. The findings revealed a significant negative relationship between work-family conflict and job satisfaction, indicating that higher levels of conflict led to lower job satisfaction. Time-Based Conflict had the most substantial influence on aspects such as supervision, relationships with colleagues, and workload. Additionally, the study found that work-family conflict contributed 23.1% to the variability in job satisfaction. The implications of this study suggested the necessity for organizational policies that support work-life balance, such as flexible working arrangements and social support for female employees. With more adaptive policies, organizations could enhance employee well-being and work effectiveness, creating a more productive and harmonious work environment.Work-family conflict menjadi tantangan signifikan bagi pekerja, terutama perempuan yang memiliki tanggung jawab ganda dalam pekerjaan dan keluarga. Konflik ini dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kepuasan kerja, yang pada akhirnya mempengaruhi kinerja dan kesejahteraan pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara work-family conflict dan kepuasan kerja pada anggota DPRD perempuan di Nias. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis korelasi Pearson dan korelasi parsial untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara work-family conflict dan kepuasan kerja, di mana semakin tinggi konflik yang dialami, semakin rendah tingkat kepuasan kerja. Time-Based Conflict memiliki pengaruh terbesar terhadap aspek supervisi atasan, hubungan dengan rekan kerja, dan beban pekerjaan. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa work-family conflict berkontribusi sebesar 23.1% terhadap variabilitas kepuasan kerja. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya kebijakan organisasi yang mendukung keseimbangan kerja-keluarga, seperti fleksibilitas kerja dan dukungan sosial bagi pekerja perempuan. Dengan kebijakan yang lebih adaptif, organisasi dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan pekerja dan efektivitas kerja, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih produktif dan harmonis.
