Abstract

There is only one management function involved in the management of advice and counseling, which is controlling (supervision). Supervision is an essential component of the guidance and counseling program. As a result, academic monitoring implemented by both school supervisors and school principals is linked to the professional performance of guidance and counseling teachers. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of academic supervision implementation on the professional performance of guidance and counseling teachers using self-efficacy as an intervening variable. This study employs quantitative tools and a correlational research design. The study involved guidance and counseling teachers from the State Junior High School in Pemalang Regency. According to the study's findings, academic monitoring by school supervisors is still not equivalent since the number of school supervisors is still limited compared to the number of schools and teachers in the Pemalang Regency. However, the study's findings also suggest that academic supervision impacts the professional performance of guidance and counseling teachers at SMP Negeri Pemalang Regency. Furthermore, this element of self-efficacy demonstrates that the outcomes have no substantial positive influence. That is, academic supervision does not mediate between Guidance and Counseling teachers' professional performance.

Abstract

Individual counseling services which are not in line with the procedures and goals may lead to students’ negative perceptions. To know this, there are several indicators to be examined whether the services have been in line with the procedures or not, such as listening skills, techniques used, goal setting, and others. Regarding these preliminary findings, this study aimed at describing students’ perceptions of individual counseling services provided by counselors in Semarang, Indonesia and its differences in terms of counselor communication skills based on genders and grades. Survey method with cross-sectional technique (n=709) was employed to investigate this issue. To determine students’ perception of the implementation of individual counseling by the counselor, the authors used MANOVA and multidimensional descriptive analysis. The findings showed that according to gender, male students had lower perceptions of the individual counseling given by counselors than female students. Further, differences in perceptions based on grades are also discussed in this article.

Abstract

Video game addiction is recognized as a mental health problem caused by uncontrolled access to video gaming platforms. Proper assistance and counseling programs based on the addiction causing factors are required to reduce the tendencies of video game addiction. The study aims to identify the correlation between regulatory focus theory and interpersonal competence towards the tendencies of video game addiction. The study is a type of cross-sectional research with the adapted psychological scales. A total of 136 teenagers, consisting of 86 males and 50 females participated in the survey of self-reported video game addiction. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that regulatory focus and interpersonal competence simultaneously had a significant effect on the tendencies of video game addiction behavior. The findings of the study can provide the basis to provide proper assistance services, in an attempt to reduce the tendencies of video game addiction among teenagers.

Abstract

Students at the Islamic boarding school for 24 hours and have limited interactions in the boarding school environment are very risky to experience various personal, social and learning problems. Interpersonal Communication Skills Training at the Assalafi Miftakhul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Grobogan Regency provides training to caregivers (senior santri) who will serve as peer guidance. Caregivers are trained to be ready listeners and good friends to help with problems related to other students. Active listening techniques are a specific skill that is trained by caregivers in helping students. Training activities were carried out using lecture and simulation methods on September 13, 2020. The training participants were 50 male and female caregivers. The participants seemed very enthusiastic during the activity. The results of the instrument analysis show that the participants reported the content of the material and the suitability of the written material and the presentation that the team did was the best point in this service activity. On the other hand, the participants stated that the training was too short and felt that they had not had the opportunity to practice. This is a recommendation for the implementation of further community service and needs to be done in a programmed and more intensive manner.

Abstract

Game online pada dasarnya ditujukan untuk mengusir kepenatan atau sekedarmelakukan0refreshing otak0setelah0melaksanakan aktivitas sehari-hari. Jenis penelitian yang0digunakan adalah0kuantitatif korelasional. Desain penelitian hypothesis testing study. Populasi0dalam0penelitian ini adalah seluruh0siswa SMP N 1 KEDU Kabupaten Temanggung. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 127 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala psikologis dan kuesioner. Hasil0penelitian menunjukkan0bahwa0Semakin tinggi siswa merasa kesepian maka semakin0tinggi pula0penggunaan game online. terdapat hubungan negatif dan signifikan0antara kecerdasan0emosi dengan 0penggunaan game online siswa SMP Negeri 1 Kedu Kabupaten Temanggung. Semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosi siswa maka semakin rendah penggunaan game online. guru BK atau konselor sekolah dapat menindaklanjuti dengan memberikan layanan yang sesuai misalnya layanan konseling kelompok maupun individu untuk mengurangi kesepian dan meningkatkan kecerdasan emosi serta sebagai upaya untuk pengembangan secara efektif.

Abstract

Management Models of Guidance and Counseling Services to Increase Performance Based on Android Applications. Guidance and counseling service activities in schools can now be assisted by technological advances, one of which is online-based. The success of the counselor's performance as part of the education system is influenced by many factors such as the ability to master the use of technology and the implementation of its management. This study aims to produce a product in the form of a guidance and counseling teacher management model to improve performance based on android applications. This study uses the Research and Development method, namely a research design that aims to produce or develop a product in the form of models, designs, prototypes, materials, media, tools or strategies, in order to improve the quality of learning by involving partners, namely SMK Negeri 7 Semarang City, Central Java. The population in this study were guidance and counseling teachers or counselors in the city of Semarang with purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study used the Wilcoxon test with an error rate of 5% with the help of SPSS 23.0. The results of this study produce a product in the form of an android application that can provide information related to the performance of guidance and counseling services, so that the administrative process of guidance and counseling teachers becomes more effective and efficient. This application is called SiMakan (Android-Based Counselor Management System) which contains several parts including planning, organizing, controlling, actuating. Management of guidance and counseling services is expected to assist the administrative process so that guidance and counseling teachers have more time to maximize service activities for students.Keywords: Counseling Service, Management Model of Guidance and Counseling.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil-hasil penelitian di negara barat, diketahui bahwa penyandang disabilitas mengalami kendala dalam memeroleh pekerjaan. Hal ini disebabkan masih ada diskriminasi untuk mereka. Pemberi kerja dan masyarakat masih beranggapan bahwa mereka kurang produktif dalam bekerja. Bagaimana dengan Indoensia ?. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research, yaitu menggali hasil-hasil penelitian di Indonesia yang mengangkat tentang karir dan disabilitas. Sumber diperoleh dari sinta.kemendikbud.goid. Jurnal yang dipilih adalah jurnal yang terakrditasi SINTA 1 dan 2. Melalui hasil-hasil penelitian tersebut, diketahui bahwa ada faktor internal dan eksternal yang menghambat penyadang disabilitas dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan. Penyandang disabilitas berminat untuk membuka wirausaha tetapi masih mengalami kebingungan. Untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut perlu ada bantuan dari luar yang dapat mendukung penyandang disabilitas dalam berkembang. Sinergi antara perguruan tinggi dengan pemerintah dan industi diharapkan dapat membantu penyandang disabilitas dalam membuka wirasuaha.

Abstract

Abstract. Based on the results of previous studies, informing that parents who have children with developmental disorders experience greater parenting stress than parents who care for normal children. Mothers experience more parenting stress than fathers. This study aims to determine the factors that cause the emergence of parenting stress in mothers. To obtain these data, the researchers used a systematic literature review of international journals (data base: Sage, Science Direct, Emerald Insight, Taylor and Francis) in 2011-2021. This method is what distinguishes this research from previous research. Previous research, in looking for factors using interviews. The result of SLR is that there are internal factors (example: understanding of diagnosis, coping strategies) and external factors (example: family resilience, social support of friends) that form parenting stress on mothers. Therefore, the suggestion for future researchers is to provide interventions that are able to suppress the emergence of factors. For example with cognitive behavior therapy intervention.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to reveal the Implementation of Cyber Counseling in Higher Education Through the My Counselor Application. Research on the Implementation of Cyber Counseling in Higher Education was conducted using a qualitative approach with the type of field research with data collection techniques using Interview, Observation and Documentation Techniques. The research subjects or informants in this research are the chairman of the My Counselor Application Founder, My Counselor Application Admin, Guidance and Counseling Students of IAIN Kudus. The results showed that there are various counseling services in the My Counselor Application, namely individual counseling, SOS Call, My Counselor Support Group, Psychological Services, Meet Counselor, Consulting Services, My Test Services.-based counseling service Self Help for My Counselor users by utilizing social media Facebook and Instagram. The research contribution in this study is about the implementation of the My Counselor Application in Counseling Services in Higher Education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pembaca layar NVDA di masa pandemi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriftif melalui metode penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian deskriftif tidak bertujuan untuk menguji hipotesis tertentu, tetapi hanya memggambarkan keadaan yang sebenarnya tentang suatu variabel (Arikunto,2013). Adapun variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan pembaca layar NVDA untuk anak penyandang tunanetra. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SLB Al Imam luwu yang beralamat di Kecamatan Padang Sappa Kabupaten Luwu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kegiatan observasi dilakukan oleh peneliti dengan mangamati langsung kegiatan guru di SLB Al Imam Luwu. Data yang didapatkan melalui observasi adalah para guru anak penyandang tunanetra memanfaatkan Teknologi dalam pembelajaran. wawancara dilakukan untuk mengetahui cara penggunaan pembaca layar yang digunakan oleh guru dan siswa penyandang tunanetra. Adapun dokumentasi yaitu berupa gambar dari pembaca layar dan dialog guru dan peneliti untuk membantu sebuah penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru dan siswa di SLB Al Imam luwu memanfaatkan pembaca layar NVDA untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran anak penyandang tunanetra.
