Abstract

Berkembangnya peralatan kelistrikan yang termasuk kedalam beban non linier banyak digunakan oleh konsumen karena praktis dan mudah dalam hal pengontrolan. Beban non linier yang pada umumnya terbuat dari bahan-bahan semikonduktor dapat menimbulkan distorsi harmonik pada sistem generator sebagai catu daya listrik. Distorsi dapat menimbulkan masalah pada mutu daya listrik yang akhirnya akan menyebabkan berbagai kerugian dan bahkan kerusakan. Generator listrik akan menghasilkan tegangan/arus berbentuk sinusoida dengan frekuensi 50/60Hz dan disuplai ke beban linier atau non linier. Bentuk gelombang tegangan maupun arus keluaran beban linier akan sama dengan gelombang masukan. Tetapi tidak untuk beban non linier, bentuk gelombang tegangan maupun arus keluaran tidak sama dengan gelombang masukan. Suplai daya ke beban non linier yang mempunyai frekuensi kelipatan bilangan ganjil (150Hz, 250 Hz, 350 Hz, dst) dengan bentuk gelombang yang terdistorsi menjadi non sinoida. Pengujian ini dilakukan dengan cara pengukuran menggunakan Powermeter dan akuisisi data dengan IoT yaitu aplikasi Blynk. Dengan diakuisisi menggunakan Blynk, kita dapat memonitoring hasil pengukuran Tegangan,arus, daya aktif, daya reaktif, daya semu, Power factor ,THD% arus maupun THD% tegangan secara realtime. Setelah data diperoleh kemudian dianalisa berdasarkan standar IEEE No.519 tahun 1992. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada beban non linier (LHE 8x15W/220V) akan menimbulkan distorsi harmonik yang ditunjukkan dengan kenaikan THD% I sebesar 32,6% diatas standar yang ditetapkan oleh IEEE, sedangan kan THD%V sebesar 1,4% sesuai dengan standar dari IEEE ≤5%. Adanya harmonik terjadi kenaikan arus sebesar 0,689 A dari kondisi arus normal yang menyebabkan kerugian daya pada generator.

Abstract

Politeknik Negeri Manado adalah salah satu perguruan tinggi vokasi di wilayah Sulawesi Utara, yang turut berpartisipasi dalam aturan Permendikbud Nomor 25 Tahun 2020 yang mengatur mekanisme tentang pemberian keringanan Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT) bagi mahasiswa di era pandemi Covid-19. Mahasiswa yang menghadapi kendala finansial selama pandemi Covid-19 mendapat kesempatan untuk mengajukan diri mengikuti tahapan seleksi untuk mendapatkan keringanan Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT). Seleksi yang dilaksanakan tentunya harus bersifat adil dan obyektif, sehingga dapat menyaring mahasiswa memenuhi kriteria untuk mendapatkan keringanan Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT). Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat sebuah sistem yang dapat membantu proses penyeleksian mahasiswa penerima bantuan pengurangan UKT secara tepat dan akurat. Metode yang akan diterapkan pada sistem adalah metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) dengan memberikan model perangkingan yang sesuai dengan kriteria yang berlaku serta nilai bobot dari kriteria tersebut. Sistem ini diimplementasikan dalam sebuah website yang dibangun dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Selain itu pada penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem model waterfall dan pengujian sistem dengan blackbox. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sistem yang dibuat dapat menampilkan Analisa hasil seleksi denganmenguraikan data masing-masing pendaftar. Data-data tersebut berupa tahapan perhitungan dari nilai mahasiswa, hasil normalisasi dan hasil perangkingan.

Abstract

The traditional Minahasa wooden house is an integral part of Indonesia's cultural heritage. However, in this modern era, the challenge of preserving cultural authenticity while introducing it to the technological era is becoming increasingly urgent. This research aims to design a Smart Home System concept integrated with Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Power Plant for traditional Minahasa wooden houses. The objective of this study is to identify the potential for integrating smart home technology and PV Solar Power Plant in Minahasa wooden houses and to develop a concept that combines traditional elements with modern technology. The research methodology will involve a literature review to understand the concepts of smart homes, PV Solar Power Plant, and the characteristics of traditional Minahasa wooden houses. Additionally, descriptive research through interviews will be conducted in collaboration with industry partners to obtain data and examples of traditional Minahasa wooden houses to be used as benchmarks in the concept design. This research can contribute to integrating modern technology into Indonesia's cultural traditions while enhancing the competitiveness of Minahasa wooden house products in the market. The result of this research is a conceptual design for the implementation of a Smart Home System integrated with a PV rooftop solar power plant system in Minahasa wooden houses. The utilization of solar energy as electrical energy is predicted to achieve an annual energy yield of 16,775 kWh.

Abstract

ABSTRACTPalm oil mills will produce liquid waste which is often called POME (Palm Oil Mill Effluent). This waste if not handled properly will disrupt the environment, even though POME stores a large potential of energy that can be used to support energy needs. With special processing, POME can produce biogas. Then biogas can be used as fuel for generators and ultimately can produce electricity. The process of processing from POME to biogas can be formed in a Biogas Power Plant (PLTBg). The amount of electrical energy that can be generated depends on the amount of biogas formed, while the amount of biogas that will be obtained generally depends on the volume of POME and the content of COD (Chemical Oxigen Demand) in POME. In the sample factory, one year of data has been taken. From the results of the analysis of the prediction of the calculation of electricity energy in palm oil mills through the construction of Biogas Power Plants, the average predicted monthly biogas that can be obtained based on data is 279023,248 Nm3CH4/month and maximum biogas that can be obtained based on the maximum processing of coconut mills oil palm is 506153.34 Nm3CH4/month. The average predictable generating capacity based on data is 1.3 MWe and the maximum capacity that can be built should be around 2.37 MWe.Keywords : Palm Oil Waste, POME, Biogas, Renewable Energy, MetaneABSTRAKPabrik kelapa sawit akan menghasilkan limbah cair yang sering disebut POME (Palm Oil Mill Effluent). Limbah ini jika tidak ditangani dengan baik akan mengganggu lingkungan, padahal POME menyimpan potensi energi yang besar yang dapat dipergunakan untuk mendukung kebutuhan energi. Dengan proses pengolahan khusus, POME dapat menghasilkan biogas. Biogas kemudian dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan bakar untuk genset biogas yang akhirnya dapat menghasilkan listrik. Proses pengolahan dari POME menjadi biogas dapat dibentuk dalam suatu Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Biogas (PLTBg). Jumlah energi listrik yang dapat dihasilkan bergantung pada jumlah biogas yang terbentuk, sedangkan jumlah biogas yang akan diperoleh pada umumnya bergantung dari volume POME dan kandungan COD (Chemical Oxigen Demand) pada POME. Pada pabrik sampel, data satu tahun telah diambil. Dari hasil analisis prediksi perhitungan pendapatan energi listrik pada pabrik kelapa sawit melalui pembangunan PLTBg, rata-rata prediksi tiap bulan biogas yang dapat diperoleh berdasarkan data adalah 279023.248 Nm3CH4/bulan dan maksimum biogas yang dapat diperoleh berdasarkan maksimum pengolahan pabrik kelapa sawit adalah 506153.34 Nm3CH4/bulan. Rata-rata kapasitas pembangkit yang dapat diprediksi berdasarkan data adalah 1.3 MWe dan maksimum kapasitas yang dapat dibangun sebaiknya sekitar 2.37 MWe.Kata kunci : Limbah, POME, Biogas, Energi Baru dan Terbarukan, Metana

Abstract

The implementation of PV Rooftop Power Plant systems as an alternative energy source has become increasingly widespread. The growing use of these systems is accompanied by the need for skilled workers with competencies in their installation. To support the development of such competencies, various training equipment designs have been created to enhance workers' skills in rooftop PV installation. This article aims to evaluate Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) aspects in the designed rooftop PV training equipment. The methodology used in this research includes risk analysis through hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation recommendations. Data collection was conducted through a literature review related to OHS standards, direct observation of the equipment's use, and interviews with instructors and technicians involved. The research results show that the main risks include Falling Hazards, Electrical Hazards, Mechanical Hazards, Tripping or Snagging Hazards, and Ergonomic Hazards. Risk control measures were implemented by ensuring that the trainees understood work-related risks, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and monitoring the condition of the work area and equipment.

Abstract

Government activities that can be assisted by applications or software such as registration, making family cards or registration for making identification cards and others. The demand for making applications has become so many from existing agencies that it causes new problems. For example, there is no monitoring of software development which makes it difficult for employees in related agencies to know when the system can be used and cannot know the progress of making their applications. Another problem is that the absence of a computerized monitoring scheme results in systems or applications ordered by existing agencies becoming irregular. In the old order flow, communication about the development of the system with the development team always cannot be directly communicated because the ordering office cannot give direct notes based on problems in the system so that the trouble accumulates. Based on existing problems, the concept of a monitoring system for software development or software was developed which can accommodate these problems. This concept is developed in several stages, namely literature study and data collection, needs analysis, concept design design, analysis and evaluation of existing concepts. The result of the existing design is a context diagram containing 3 actors and 1 system that is related to each other. In addition, there is a sequence diagram for the request system where there are 2 actors, namely the Agency and the Development Team who are interconnected in completing the contract for making the system / application ordered. It is hoped that the concept of this monitoring system can help the government in monitoring and regulating software development, especially within related agencies in the Manado city government.

Abstract

In this era of highly developed technology and information, work and technology must coexist in achieving maximum results. With existing technology, work can collaborate with each other without knowing place and time so as to optimize the output of work. This also happens in government, which is a medium to serve the community. The government must serve all the needs of its people well and precisely and quickly in the process so that satisfaction from the community can rise. It's just that many in the government, especially the city of Manado, for example, agencies still use data independently so that other agencies or governments cannot access it. The use of technology is only as an application that is specialized for the agency even though the processed data can be used for other agencies related to the data. This causes the wrong use of information technology in terms of bridging between human work and humans themselves. If left unchecked, the actual work that can be collaborated does not occur even though there is already technology in the business process. Therefore, a system and modeling of data management that is appropriate in bridging the applications of each agency is needed so that applications can access the same data without overhauling all applications that have been running in each existing agency. In this research, a semantic-based system concept is developed for a data management system that can be accessed by different agencies and even other government institutions. The system concept will carry ontology modeling as the basis of the system so that data can be conceptualized according to the designation of the data. The purpose of this research is to create a passing system and cross data or documents using semantics for all standalone systems in government agencies so that data is no longer uploaded repeatedly in each existing system.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a crucial aspect of practical learning, especially in vocational education that focuses on technical skills. The Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Electrical Engineering at Manado State Polytechnic has a curriculum that involves various practical activities, including electrical and mechanical work. The risk of work accidents in this learning process is relatively high, making the effective implementation of an OSH system essential to creating a safe and conducive learning environment. This study was conducted in the Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Electrical Engineering at Manado State Polytechnic to evaluate the implementation of the OSH system in practical learning. The evaluation aims to identify aspects that need improvement or enhancement to minimize the risk of accidents and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards. The research methodology includes literature review and descriptive study. The literature review examines relevant OSH regulations and guidelines, while the descriptive study is carried out through observations and interviews with individuals involved in practical activities. The findings indicate that although the OSH system has been implemented, there are still aspects that need improvement, particularly in providing OSH facilities and equipment for working at heights. Observations reveal that the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as full-body harnesses and other supporting tools, has not been fully implemented in accordance with applicable safety standards. This evaluation can serve as a foundation for developing more effective policies to improve safety and the quality of practical learning in vocational education.

Abstract

Various raw materials with enhanced benefits have been discovered for the toiletries industry. One promising material is coconut shell charcoal powder (Cocos nucifera), which can be used as a base ingredient in herbal toiletries formulations. However, its production process still faces challenges, particularly in terms of technology and operations, especially for small and medium enterprises. Therefore, this study aims to design a control system concept for a coconut shell charcoal powder processing unit integrated with a PV system. The methods used include a literature review and a descriptive study through interviews with practitioners and academics specializing in charcoal powder production systems and herbal toiletries formulation. The result of this study is a conceptual design of a control system equipped with a remote monitoring system to oversee and regulate the coconut shell charcoal powder production process more efficiently.

Abstract

Kelompok tani Cempaka di Kelurahan Meras, Kota Manado, merupakan kelompok tani kelas madya yang memiliki salah satu fokus pengolahan komoditi kelapa(Cocos nucifera). Pada umumnya petani kelapa mengolah buah kelapa menjadi kopra. Pada proses pengolahan kelapa, kentos kelapa tidak memiliki nilai jual bahkan sering dipandang sebagai limbah saja. Permasalahan mitra ada pada belum digunakannya produk kentos kelapa agar menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai jual, padahal kentos kelapa memiliki nilai manfaat sebagai bahan dasar obat. Sebagai solusi, kegiatan hilirisasi produk penelitian dengan memanfaatkan alat pengering simplisia kentos kelapa yang efektif dan efisien dapat diterapkan pada kelompok tani Cempaka. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk membuka wawasan mengenai nilai ekonomis pada produk simplisia yang dapat diperoleh melalui penggunaan alat pengering hasil penelitian yang akan digunakan yaitu alat pengering simplisia kentos kelapa. Target khusus pada kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan produktivitas hasil komoditi kelapa dan menunjang kesejahteraan anggota kelompok tani Cempaka. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang akan diterapkan mencakup workshop dan pendampingan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa workshop Nilai Ekonomis Produk Kentos Kelapa dan pelatihan penggunaan alat pengering simplisia kentos kelapa dilakukan bersama masyarakat kelurahan meras.
