Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the learning activities of The Qur'an Education Park Nurul Huda Parigi Baru Pondok Aren Tangerang Selatan in developing children's Qur'anic reading skills, use of methods, and learning processes. The method used in this study is the decryptive method of analysis. The subject of this study was a parent who had a child aged 4-6 years who participated in the Activities of Reading The Qur'an in the Education Park of the Qur'an Nurul Huda Parigi Baru Pondok Aren South Tangerang. Data is collected using interview instruments conducted with parents and teachers, as well as observations and documentation to support the required data. It can be known that the role of the Qur'an education park in developing the ability to read the Qur'an in the Nurul Huda Parigi Baru Pondok Aren Education Park, South Tangerang is very well developed. Through the Qur'anic Education Park children are able to read hijaiyah letters using the Iqro' method, able to write Arabic letters by imla method, able to read short surahs in the Qur'an, and able to memorize readings in prayer.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai moral yang terdapat dalam film animasi Nusa dan Rara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data dengan dokumen. Langkah-langkahnya yaitu dengan menyaksikan film dan mencatat data-data yang berkaitan dengan film tersebut. Hasil penelitian memperoleh deskripsi tentang nilai-nilai moral dan melakukan penarikan kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian pada film Nusa dan Rara. Bahwa nilai -nilai moral yang terdapat dalam film animasi Nusa dan Rara adalah (1) ketulusan hati dan kejujuran, (2) belas kasih dan kepedulian (3) kasih sayang, (4) kontrol diri, (5) kerja sama, (6) kerja keras. Dari hasil analisis didapat bahwa nilai moral yang sering muncul adalah kejujuran, kepedulian dan kerja sama. Para pendidik disarankan dapat menggunaka film ini sebagai media pembelajaran moral anak.

Abstract

Internet playing activities for early childhood without supervision will lead to a condition of internet addiction. Internet addiction affects children's self-control. Self-control is the main thing for children to live their lives in the future. If the child has low self-control, then he will have difficulty in deciding and solving a problem well. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of internet addiction on children's self-control. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection through interviews and observations and data analysis using Miles Huberman analysis, which comprises several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. This study describes the impact of internet addiction on aspects of self-control in children aged 5-6 years including (1) types of internet users in children (2) user aspects (3) factors causing internet addiction in children (4) the impact of internet addiction on children's self-control in behavior-control, cognitive-control and decisional-control.

Abstract

Storytelling is an exciting learning method that teachers can practice in learning activities. This study investigates the Kak Awam strategies in conducting storytelling to develop moral values in preschool children. This research uses descriptive qualitative. Data were collected by interview, observation, document analysis and video recording. The collected data were analyzed using Miles Huberman analysis, consisting of several stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification or conclusion. This study explains the storytelling strategies conducted by Kak Awam in delivering moral values can be implemented in learning activities at school.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aimed to develop yoga activities based on prayer movements to train children’s self-control. The subjects in this study were early childhood children in the TK B group. Design/methods/approach – This research uses development research (R&D). Feasibility assessment of the development of prayer movement-based Yoga to train children’s self-control based on the assessment of media experts, yoga experts, and group B students as test subjects. Analysis using qualitative and quantitative data analysis, collecting data using interview guidelines, observation documentation, and questionnaires. Findings – The results showed that the development of prayer movement-based Yoga through a series of trials and expert validation, was workable for training children’s self-control which included (1) the ability to regulate behavior, (2) the ability to regulate stimuli, (3) the ability to consider things and events, ( 4) the ability to evaluate events and things positively, and (5) the ability to determine actions. Research implications/limitations – This research can be the basis and guideline for further research related to Yoga based on prayer movements in training self-control in early childhood. Researchers suggest that there are other studies regarding using Yoga based on prayer movements to train children’s self-control and other abilities from an early age. The drawback of this study is that it did not conduct a practical test due to time constraints. Practical implications – This research produces Yoga products based on prayer movements. Teachers and parents can use it to train children’s self-control from childhood. So that the results of developing this product can be helpful, and other schools can practice it in training children’s self-control or other abilities after the pandemic that hit the world. Originality/value – The development of Yoga based on prayer movements can train the self-control abilities of early childhood. Researchers recommend using prayer movement-based yoga in kindergartens to train children’s self-control. Paper type Research paper

Abstract

This research focuses on developing Islamic mindfulness-based play activities to mitigate child mental health issues in the post-pandemic context.  The study was conducted in Jakarta-Depok kindergartens using a modified Research and development (R&D) approach tailored for educational settings, as per Borg and Gall. The primary aim was to create and evaluate educational tools to foster Islamic mindfulness among young learners. The research involved identifying children's learning challenges post-pandemic and developing and refining educational games and teaching methods. Data collection encompassed observational studies, educator feedback, and direct interaction with children using the developed tools. The analysis evaluated these tools' usability, engagement level, and educational impact. The results highlighted the development of a physical model comprising a 14-chapter guidebook for tea. Still, it is a procedural model that condenses the original ten stages into seven. Essential components include yoga based on prayer movements, activities for enhancing food relationships, self-body awareness exercises, sensory training, gratitude journal writing, and positive affirmations based on Asmaul Husna. Evaluations by material and learning design experts and one-to-one teacher tests affirmed the model's quality. A field trial with 20 children showed enjoyment and preference for gratitude journal writing. Conclusively, the research effectively developed a model for Islamic mindfulness-based play activities, demonstrating the potential to enhance children's mental health post-pandemic. However, limitations such as geographic confinement and individual response variability suggest the need for broader application and further research to assess long-term impacts. This study contributes significantly to educational and psychological interventions, offering a culturally sensitive, holistic child development approach integrating mental health, spirituality, and education.

Abstract

The ability of young children to recognize letters is the ability to recognize and grasp the signs in writing that consist of alphabet letters symbolizing language sounds. According to the findings of the observations, some children's ability to detect letters did not develop optimally. The purpose of this study is to use smart box media to increase the capacity to recognize letters in the B2 group at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 14 Sawangan. This is classroom action research (PTK), with 24 youngsters participating: 12 females and 12 boys. Observation and documenting strategies are used to obtain data. A quantitative descriptive method was taken to analyze the data. The study's findings revealed that using smart box media improved children's capacity to recognize letters, as evidenced by an 11.8% increase in average percentage score from 57.99% to 69.79%. From cycle I to cycle II, the good category increased by 11.81% from 69.79% to 81.60%. Based on these findings, smart box media can improve children's capacity to recognize letters; it can also be utilized in the classroom to develop children's curiosity about media, as well as by teachers for learning.   ABSTRAK Kemampuan anak usia dini dalam mengenal huruf adalah kemampuan untuk mengenali dan memahami tanda-tanda dalam tulisan yang terdiri dari huruf-huruf alfabet yang melambangkan bunyi-bunyi bahasa. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, kemampuan mengenal huruf pada beberapa anak belum berkembang secara optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggunakan media kotak pintar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf pada kelompok B2 di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 14 Sawangan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), dengan jumlah peserta 24 anak: 12 anak perempuan dan 12 anak laki-laki. Strategi observasi dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data. Metode deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kotak pintar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan anak dalam mengenal huruf, yang dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan persentase skor rata-rata sebesar 11,8% dari 57,99% menjadi 69,79%. Dari siklus I ke siklus II, kategori baik meningkat 11,81% dari 69,79% menjadi 81,60%. Berdasarkan temuan ini, media kotak pintar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan anak dalam mengenal huruf, media ini juga dapat digunakan di dalam kelas untuk mengembangkan keingintahuan anak terhadap media, dan juga oleh guru untuk pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the use of YouTube channel Cocomelon as a medium for mastery of vocabulary for children aged 4-6 years in Karang Tengah village. This study uses a mixed method, the type of Explanatory Design. The subjects in this study were children aged 4-6 years who live in Karang Tengah Village, Tangerang and their parents who accompany their children to watch YouTube Cocomelon. The sampling technique was nonprobabillity sampling, using purposive sampling type. Collecting data using interview instruments, documentation and non-test instruments. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's model and descriptive statistics. Based on the results of a questionnaire calculation related to the use of the Cocomelon YouTube Channel as a medium for introducing English vocabulary for children aged 4-6 years in Karang Tengah District, Tangerang, they are included in the "Developing according to expectations" category. This can be seen from the results of the research which states that the average value of children's vocabulary recognition, namely 87.7%, is in the very good category.

Abstract

Inclusive schools are heterogeneous educational institutions in which regular children and children with special needs work together in teaching and learning activities. Therefore, an attitude of tolerance is the main basis for establishing harmonious relationships between children in school. This research examines teachers' strategies for forming children's tolerant attitudes in inclusive schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques using 3 methods, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were teachers and children aged 4-6 years in inclusive schools. The data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research show that there are 3 teacher strategies in building an attitude of tolerance in inclusive schools, namely: adding aspects of tolerance to teaching and learning activities, paying attention to and designing environmental conditions that are effective and efficient, and using flexible learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to create and develop teaching materials for early childhood education (PAUD) media units to facilitate learning processes. The teaching materials developed are compiled with a project-based learning approach. The research was conducted on the PAUD media unit in the Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) undergraduate program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This research is following Dick and Carey’s model of Research and Development. The development stage focuses on determining instructional goals, analyzing learning materials, analyzing student abilities in the learning context, determining learning targets, developing instruments, developing project-based learning strategies, and applying them to learning. The results showed that students could develop media in line with learning needs and aspects of children’s development using teaching materials.
