Abstract

This article discusses the effect of combining the company's external factors in the form of interest rates and internal company factors as well as included in the financial statements, namely Earning Per Share (EPS) and Book Value Per Share (BVPS) which are used as free variables on the stock price of cigarette companies listed in the IHSG which are bound variables. This study was tested using a regression analysis of panel data from 4 cigarette companies listed in the IHSG during 2015-2019, namely PT Gudang Garam Tbk, PT HM Sampoerna Tbk, PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk, and PT Bentoel Internasional Investama Tbk. From the results of this study, it shows that the presence of evidence that interest rates have a significant effect on the stock price of cigarette companies, in addition, interest rates negatively affect the stock price of cigarette companies. While EPS and BVPS have a positive and significant effect on the stock price of cigarette companies.

Abstract

Although Banten Province has substantial economic potential driven by its large industrial sector, it continues to face a significant unemployment challenge. This study aims to analyze the various factors that influence the unemployment rate within the province. By using a quantitative research approach, the study applies multiple linear regression analysis through SPSS version 26 to examine the relationship variable independent and variable dependent. Findings from the analysis indicate that factors such as the minimum wage, education level, and economic growth play a significant role in shaping the unemployment rate in Banten Province. These insights are essential for formulating effective policies to reduce unemployment and promote sustainable economic development in the region.

Abstract

The report discusses the serious environmental issues Indonesia's growing economy and rising energy use have brought about. In addition to examining government initiatives to lessen these impacts through sustainable development regulations, the goals include evaluating the connection between economic indicators and environmental results. The research employs a mixed-approaches strategy, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative analysis, which employs time series data from 1991 to 2020, focuses on carbon dioxide emissions per capita as the dependent variable and GDP and energy consumption per capita as independent variables. Multiple linear regression using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) evaluates these correlations. A thorough grasp of the relationship between economic growth, energy consumption, and environmental deterioration is provided by qualitative analysis, which entails a review of the literature to investigate government initiatives addressing environmental concerns. The study results show a substantial positive correlation between Indonesia's carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions, energy consumption, and economic development. The analysis indicates that the ongoing economic activities driven by fossil fuel consumption will exacerbate environmental degradation without significant intervention, necessitating effective government policies for sustainable development and emission reduction. The study concludes that economic growth and energy consumption significantly contribute to Indonesia's environmental degradation, particularly through increased carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. It recommends that the government strengthen policies promoting sustainable energy use, increase investment in renewable energy technologies, and implement stricter regulations on industrial emissions. Additionally, fostering public awareness and education on environmental sustainability is crucial for effective long-term solutions.

Abstract

The restrictions on economic activity during the COVID-19 pandemic harmed banking stability in Indonesia. This is reflected in the decline in banks' financial performance in 2020 due to high losses on various risk profiles. These risks do not only occur under certain conditions, such as a pandemic, but are also inherent in the bank's business activities. Therefore, this study analyzes the impact of credit risk, operational risk, and liquidity risk on bank financial performance in 2019-2024, involving GCG as a moderating variable. The purpose of this analysis is to provide an overview of the quality of risk management in commercial banks in Indonesia. The object of this research is commercial banks listed on the IDX. The research sample consisted of 15 banks, selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using panel data models and moderated regression (MRA). The results showed that credit risk and operational risk had a negative effect, while liquidity risk did not affect bank financial performance. GCG weakens the negative relationship between operational risk and financial performance, but does not moderate the relationship between credit risk and liquidity risk. The findings suggest that the risk management of commercial banks in Indonesia is suboptimal, particularly in terms of credit risk and operational risk. Tighter supervision by GCG is also necessary to mitigate the adverse effects of risk.

Abstract

Over the past five years, West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) has been recorded as the region with the lowest economic growth in the Bali and Nusa Tenggara region, particularly in 2019 and 2023. This reflects structural challenges in the regional economy despite efforts to increase investment and foreign trade. This study aims to analyze the effect of Domestic Investment (PMDN), Foreign Investment (PMA), Exports, and Labour on Economic Growth in NTB during the period 2006 to 2023. The data used is annual secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and related agencies. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression with a quantitative approach. The results show that simultaneously, all four variables have a significant effect on NTB's economic growth. However, partially, only the FDI and Labour variables have a positive and significant effect, while DDI and Exports do not show a significant effect. These findings indicate that increasing foreign investment and labour absorption play an important role in driving regional economic growth, while the contribution of PMDN and exports still needs to be improved.

Abstract

One of the economic sectors that contributes to the development of the national economy is the marine and fisheries sector. The fishing industry plays a bigger role during economic downturns, particularly when it comes to earning foreign exchange. Meanwhile, the aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of production capital on Product of the fishermen in the Trenggalek Regency's Prigi Village, Watulimo District Secondly, to determine if labor has an impact on the productivity of fishermen in Trenggalek Regency's Prigi Village, Watulimo District. The type of research used is a quantitative descriptive approach, basically emphasizing the statistical processing of data analysis in the form of numerical values. It is clear from the multiple linear regression analysis results that the capital value is 33,939, meaning it shows the direction of a positive or unidirectional relationship between capital and production results. The labor value of Labor -4210,909 shows a negative or unidirectional relationship with production results. Meanwhile, There is a duration of -132,287, indicating a negative or unidirectional relationship with production results.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the economic and non-economic factors that influence income disparity in the Gerbangkertosusila region. Economic Growth (X1) and Open Unemployment Rate (X2) are economic indicators, while Average Years of Schooling (X3) represents the educational dimension. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The secondary data used are sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for the period 2016 to 2023, covering seven districts/cities in the Gerbangkertosusila region. Panel data regression analysis using the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) is applied in this study. This model produces more accurate and reliable estimates by integrating the characteristics of both time series and cross-sectional data. The results show that economic growth has a negative but insignificant effect on income disparity, while the open unemployment rate has a positive and significant effect in increasing income disparity. Additionally, average years of schooling has a negative and significant effect in reducing income disparity in Gerbangkertosusila.

Abstract

This research is motivated by human resources as a factor in economic development. Population productivity is measured through the labor force participation rate (LFPR). East Java Province is ranked second in LFPR in Java Island along with the fourth rank for the level of completion of high school/vocational high school education among provinces in Java Island. This study highlights education which is one of the factors in the LFPR benchmark in addition to minimum wages and open unemployment rates. This analysis was conducted using the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test and F-test. The results of the analysis produced a provincial minimum wage variable with a negative and significant effect, the open unemployment rate with a negative and insignificant effect, while the average length of schooling had a positive and significant effect.
