Abstract

Perubahan yang terjadi akibat berdirinya perusahaan kelapa sawit akan menimbulkan dampak positif atau sebaliknya akan menimbulkan hal-hal negatif yang justru merugikan masyarakat sekitar. Hal ini yang melatar belakangi penelitian karena penulis ingin mengetahui bagaimana dampak keberadaan perusahaan terhadap kondisi sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh keberadaan perusahaan terhadap kondisi sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat yang tinggal di lokasi sekitar perusahaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dampak keberadaan perusahaan kelapa sawit di Desa Blankahan secara sosial dan ekonomi membawa banyak dampak positif. Adapun dampak positif terhadap kondisi sosial terlihat pada Pembangunan Fasilitas Umum, Pendidikan, Kesehatan dan Terhadap Pranata Sosial Lembaga- Lembaga masyarakat. Dampak positif terhadap kondisi ekonomi terlihat pada Kesempatan bekerja/berusaha semakin terbuka dengan adanya PT. United Kingdom Indonesia Plantations, sehingga dapat membantu pemerintah dalam mengurangi angka pengangguran di Desa Blankahan.

Abstract

Pelatihan pembuatan kerupuk beras pecah kulit dilaksanakan di desa karang anyar Kecamatan Beringin Kabupaten Deli Serdang dengan mitra kelompok Wanita tani. Metode Pelaksanaan PKM dengan memberi pelatihan tentang pembuatan kerupuk beras dari beras pecah kulit terdiri dari bahan tepung pregelatinisasi beras pecah kulit, garam, ketumbar, bawang putih, dan air. Permasalahan mitra belum mengetahui beras pecah kulit dan manfaatnya sehingga diperlukan pengolahan beras pecah kulit menjadi kerupuk. Tujuan Kegiatan PKM Ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra tentang manfaat beras pecah kulit selain untuk kesehatan juga dapat diaplikasikan dalam pembuatan kerupuk. Hasil Kegiatan menggunakan  penilaian skala hedonic dengan skor 1 = Sangat tidak suka, 2 = tidak suka, 3 = suka, 4 = sangat suka , 5 = sangat-sangat suka. Peserta memberi penilaian kerupuk dari beras pecah kulit dengan skor lebih dari 4 menunjukkan peserta menyukai kerupuk.

Abstract

Ginger is a medicinal plant that is often used as a pain reliever. Demand for ginger increases along with the development of human knowledge. So to meet consumer needs, a marketing institution is needed, such as the Gajah ginger farmers in Hatinggian village. The aim of the research is to find out how the marketing channels for Gajah ginger are, to find out the marketing margin and marketing efficiency of Gajah ginger. The research sample was 22 Gajah ginger farmers, 3 collectors and 3 retailers. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and formula equations for marketing costs, marketing margin, Farmer share, marketing efficiency. The research results show that there are two marketing channels for Gajah ginger in Hatinggian village, Lumban Julu subdistrict, namely; 1). Marketing channel I from farmers to retailers then consumers and 2). Marketing channel II from farmers to collectors then to retailers and then consumers. The market share of marketing channel I is greater than marketing channel II so that marketing channel I (6.14%) is more efficient than marketing channel II (6.89%).

Abstract

Halaman pekarangan rumah merupakan lahan yang bisa memberikan manfaat lingkungan dan ekonomi. Pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan dengan budidaya melon (Cucumis melo) hidroponik belum banyak diketahui masyarakat. Budidaya melon hidroponik dapat dilakukan oleh ibu-ibu rumah tangga dengan memanfaatkan waktu luang mereka selain mengerjakan pekerjaan rumah. Tujuan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah memberikan transfer pengetahuan berupa penyuluhan, pelatihan dan demplot budidaya melon hidroponik. Memberikan bantuan sarana dan prasarana untuk melakukan budidaya melon hidroponik yang berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan membuat perencanaan, mengorganisir kegiatan program, pelaksanaan program, pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan program memberikan manfaat transfer ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan jasa dengan adanya kegiatan penyuluhan, pelatihan dan demplot budidaya melon hidroponik. Mitra mendapat pengetahuan dan keterampilan budidaya melon hidroponik. Persepsi mitra terhadap tingkat kepentingan/kebutuhan program menunjukkan mitra Berdasarkan angket yang diberikan kepada mitra diketahui bahwa jumlah skor tertinggi sebesar 50 yaitu pada persepsi mitra terhadap program PKM telah memberikan bekal kepada masyarakat berupa kemampuan berpikir ataupun keterampilan lainya. Dan junmlah skor tertinggi pada persepsi mitra terhadap tingkat kepuasan/kinerja program juga terdapat pada pernyataan mitra terhadap Program PkM telah memberikan bekal kepada masyarakat berupa kemampuan berpikir ataupun keterampilan lainya sebesar 50. Dengan demikian program telah memberikan manfaat kepada mitra. Home gardens are land that can provide environmental and economic benefits. The public is not yet well aware of the use of yard land by hydroponic melon (Cucumis melo) cultivation. Hydroponic melon cultivation can be done by housewives using their free time apart from doing housework. The aim of the service carried out is to provide knowledge transfer in the form of counseling, training and demonstration plots for hydroponic melon cultivation. Providing assistance with facilities and infrastructure to carry out sustainable hydroponic melon cultivation. The method used is planning, organizing program activities, program implementation, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation. The results of program activities provide benefits from the transfer of knowledge, technology and services through extension activities, training and demonstration plots for hydroponic melon cultivation. Partners gain knowledge and skills in hydroponic melon cultivation. The partner's perception of the level of importance/need for the program shows that partners. Based on the questionnaire given to partners, it is known that the highest score is 50, namely the partner's perception that the PkM program has provided provisions for the community in the form of thinking abilities or other skills. And the highest score in partners' perceptions of the level of satisfaction/performance of the program is also found in partners' statements that the PkM Program has provided provisions to the community in the form of thinking abilities or other skills of 50. In this way, the program has provided benefits to partners.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to find out how much money beef cattle may make in the Enggal Mukti livestock group in Sampali Village, Percut Sei Tuan, North Sumatra. This study employs the case study approach, in which the research is conducted by looking directly at the field, the sampling is done purposefully (deliberately), and the sample method is the probability method. For the data analysis approach utilized to respond to the initial formulation, namely the formulation of variable costs, fixed expenses, and income. Use the calculation Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period to answer the second formulation (PP). The findings of this study show that the enggal mukti beef cattle company earns a lot of money. The income of the enggal mukti beef cattle company is Rp.7.584 million, according to the findings, with an average income of Rp.224.889.882. The Net Present Value (NPV) of the enggal mukti beef cattle business is 3,663,970,800 0, indicating that the enggal mukti beef cattle business is financially feasible to operate, and the IRR value is 40.56 percent, indicating that the use of investment in this business is better and can provide internal profits of 40.56 percent per year. And for the Payback Time (PP) of 1.4, it can be read as a 1.4-year payback period that has met the investment requirement's eligibility criteria.

Abstract

Purpose: This research was conducted to analyse the strengthening of the KOMASTI coffee agro-industry as a strategy to improve farmer welfare and national economic resilience through the integration of the Asta Gatra framework to achieve sustainable development. Design/methodology/approach: This study adopted a mixed method, with data obtained through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and field surveys with coffee farmers and agro-industry players in Dairi Regency, North Sumatra. Analysis of product value addition was done based on the Hayami model to determine production efficiency and distribution of economic value throughout the supply chain. Findings: The Komasti coffee agroindustry records a value-added ratio of 47.34% and a profit margin of 97.59%, reflecting strong economic potential. Nevertheless, the proportion of value captured by farmers remains low due to rudimentary processing methods and limited market connectivity. Originality/value: This study makes theoretical and practical contributions to the literature on value chains and national resilience. The developed instrument shows that the enhancement of the local resource coffee agro-industry is a matter of both economic strategy and policy for building strong, resilient, inclusive and sustainable national resistance.

Abstract

Inovasi pengolahan jamur tiram dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Medan Sunggal, Kota Medan dengan mitra kelompok Jamur Meutuah. Metode pelaksanaan PKM dengan memberi inovasi dalam pengolahan jamur tiram dengan bahan jamur tiram, tepung terigu, tepung beras, tepung tapioka, penyedap makanan, lada, ketumbar, bawang putih, kunyit bubuk, baking powder, telur, garam dan air. Permasalahan mitra belum mengetahui cara pengolahan jamur tiram agar tetap crispy dalam waktu yang lama. Tujuan Kegiatan PKM ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra dalam mengelola jamur tiram agar memiliki tekstur crispy dalam waktu yang lama. Hasil Kegiatan menggunakan  penilaian skala hedonic dengan skor 1 = Sangat tidak suka, 2 = tidak suka, 3 = suka, 4 = sangat suka , 5 = sangat-sangat suka. Peserta memberi penilaian jamur krispy dengan skor lebih dari 4 menunjukkan peserta menyukai jamur krispy.
