Abstract

Abstrak Kecacingan merupakan penyakit yang masih banyak di negara berkembang. Infeksi cacing dapat menimbulkan penurunan respon terhadap antigen yang terjadi akibat modified Th2 response. Vaksin BCG merupakan antigen yang dikenal sebagai penginduksi respon sel Th1. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kadar IFN-γdan IL-10 pada orang dewasa terinfeksi Ascaris lumbricoides dengan tidak terinfeksi yang diinduksi vaksi BCG.Penelitian dilakukan di Kelurahan Muara Fajar Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir Pekanbaru dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectinal study. Populasi penelitian ini adalah orang dewasa kelurahan Muara Fajar KecamatanRumbai Pesisir Pekanbaru yang terinfeksi dan tidak terinfeksi Ascaris lumbricoides. Status kecacingan didapatkan dari pemeriksaan feses dengan metode kato-katz. Kadar IFN-γ dan IL-10 didapatkan dengan pemeriksaan laboratorium dengan metode ELISA. Pengolahan dan analisa data menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rerata kadar IFNγ adalah 16,55±14,13 pg/mg dan kadar IL-10 36,13±8,83 pg/ml. Pada orang dewasa yang tidak terinfeksi Ascaris lumbricoides didapatkan kadar rata-rata IFN-γ adalah 199,36±121,86 pg/ml dan kadar IL-10 10,57±9,20 pg/ml.Terdapat perbedaan bermakna kadar  IFN-γ dan IL-10 antara orang dewasa yang terinfeksi Ascaris lumbricoides dengan tidak terinfeksi (p<0,05). Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini ialah infeksi Ascaris lumbricoides dapat menekan produksi IFN-γ terhadap pemberian vaksin BCG.Kata kunci: ascaris lumbricoides, vaksin BCG, interferon gamma (IFN-γ), interleukin 10 (IL-10) Abstract Worm infestation still happened in the develop country. Worm infection can also make low respond on antigen that is caused by modified Th2 response. BCG vaccine is antigen as known as induction Th1 cell respond. The objective of this study was to  know the differences IFN-γ and IL-10 an adult who infected Ascaris lumbricoides to uninfected who inducted by BCG vaccine. The research was conducted in Muara Fajar district Rumbai PesisirPekanbaru by Cross Sectinal Study. The research population were adults in Muara Fajar district Rumbai Pesisir Pekanbaru who infected and uninfected Ascaris lumbricoides. Worm infection was getting checked in fesses by katokatz method.IFN-y and IL-10 were getting laboratory checked by ELISA method.The data was analyzed by t-tes. The mean IFN-y of the adult who infected Ascaris lumbricoides were 16.55±14.13 pg/mg and IL-10 36.13±8.83 pg/ml and the adult who uninfected Ascaris lumbricoides were 199,36±121,86 pg/ml and IL-10 10.57±9.20 pg/ml. There was significant difference of IFN-y and IL-10 between adult who infected Ascaris lumbricoides with uninfected (p<0,05). Abstract

Patients with malnutrition mostly were golden age toddlers under 2 years. Based on the survey conducted, it was found toddler of the Posyandu Anggrek 2 experienced malnutrition. The community partnership program provides solutions to improve nutrition, especially for toddlers by utilizing the nutrient-rich Spirullina platensis microalgae as a nutritional supplement in the toddler's diet. The main objective of the community partnership program implemented at Posyandu Anggrek 2 is to provide Spirullina platensis capsule supplements to improve nutrition in under-fives with malnutrition and malnutrition, to increase knowledge of mothers of toddlers about highly nutritious foods, especially Spirullina platensis microalgae to improve nutrition, immunity and health toddlers during the current Covid-19 epidemic. The application of Spirullina platensis cultivation technology which is transferred to housewives who are members of Posyandu Anggrek 2. The success of this program shows that giving Spirullina platensis capsules to 10 toddlers for 6 weeks can increase toddler nutrition as measured based on the WHO standard Anthropometric index. The increase in body weight and height after administration of Spirullina platensis was seen in all toddler, and there was an increase in health and immunity in toddler. It can be concluded that giving Spirullina platensis capsules is beneficial for improving nutritional status and immunity in toddlers.

Abstract

Leptospirosis is an infectious disease caused by Leptospira interogans (L interogans). The urine of rats is a carrier of L interrogans bacteria that pollutes stagnant water such as flooding both in rice fields and fields. Bacteria enter through the mucosa and sores or blisters when in contact with the polluted water. The mortality rate due to leptospirosis in Indonesia is reported to reach 2.5 - 16.45%, because it is a tropical country with quite high rainfall followed by flooding. Nagari Alahan Panjang Solok Regency is located at an altitude of 1400 - 1600 meters above sea level (masl) with rainfall of 2600 mm which is a vast agricultural area and the community is 90% farmers. Based on the problem above, the Department of Microbiology and Biology, Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University has held community service in Nagari Alahan Panjang, Solok Regency, for farmers, because farmers are at risk of being infected by Leptospira. The counseling method uses a power point slide and poster about leptospira followed by blood tests using the Standard Q rapid test for Leptospira IGM / IgG. About 48 farmers carried alcohol swabs at the tips of their fingers to take blood samples with fingersticks. As much as 10 ul of blood add 1 drop of standard buffer solution Q rapid test Leptospira IgM / IgG put in the rapid test tool well while stirring and wait 5 minutes. Positive results appear in the red line in the IgM / IgG area according to the control indicated on the rapid test tool. The conclusion that counseling can increase the knowledge of farmers to prevent leptospirosis with the discovery of 6.25% of farmers suspected of leptospirosis.

Abstract

AbstrakVaksinasi BCG merupakan metoda pencegahan infeksi M. tuberculosis dengan rentang efektivitas antara 0 – 80%. Vaksin ini bekerja dengan meng-induksi sistem imunitas seluler, terutama sel limfosit T. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas vaksin, seperti bahan dasar, rute pemberian, penyimpanan dan lain sebagainya.penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai pengaruh rute vaksinasi BCG, per oral dan subkutan terhadap imunitas seluler dan humoral, yang meliputi pembentukan antibodi, kosentrasi sel limfosit B, T dan penilaian kemampuan makrofag.Penelitian eksperimental yang dilaksanakan dengan mengunakan desain post test only control group design. Jumlah sampel 10 ekor Rattus norvegicus galur Wistar. Antibodi diperiksa dengan menggunakan ELISA, serta dilakukan uji statistik mengunakan t-test.Didapatkan kadar antibodi kelompok subkutan pada hari ke-10 adalah OD 1.714 ± 0.124, sedangkan kelompok oral adalah 1.256 ± 0.243 dan pada kontrol kadar antibodi adalah 0.975 ± 0.253 (p < 0.05). Jumlah limfosit B pada kelompok subkutan adalah 4.5 x 103 sel/ml, kelompok oral 2.6 x 103 sel/ml dan kontrol 2.2. x 103 sel/ml (p < 0.05). Jumlah limfosit T kelompok subkutan adalah 3.8 x 104 sel/ml sedangkan pada kelompok oral dan kontrol, masing-masing adalah 1.1 x 104 sel/ml dan 0.8 x 104 sel/ml (p < 0.05). Kemampuan fagositosis makrofag subkutan adalah 62.5 ± 6.8 lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok oral 48.7 ± 5.8 dan kontrol 35.6 ± 4.4 (p < 0.05). Fenomena yang sama ditemukan pada hari ke-20. Namun demikian tidak ditemukan perbedaan konsentrasi seluruh variabel seluler dan humoral antara hari ke-10 dan 20 (p > 0.05).Vaksinasi BCG akan meningkatkan respon imunitas seluler dan humoral dan rute vaksinasi subkutan lebih baik dibanding per oral ditinjau dari aspek respon imun.Kata kunci : Vaksinasi BCG, seluler, humoral, makrofagAbstractBCG vaccine is a method to prevent the infection of M tuberculosis with effectiveness range between 0 – 80%. The amount of Lymphocyte B in sub cutaneous group is 4.5 x 103 cell/ml, 2.6 x 103 cell/ml in oral and 2.2 x 103 cell/ml (p < 0.05) in control. The amount of Lymphocyte T in sub cutaneous is 3.8 x 104 cell/ml, while in oral and control is 1.1 x 104 cell/ml and 0.8 x 104 cell/ml (p < 0.05). The phagocytosis ability of sub cutaneous’s macrophage is 62.5 ± 6.8 which is higher than oral group 48.7 ± 5.8 and control 35.6 ± 4.4 (p < 0.05). The same phenomenon also found in day 20th. However, the difference concentrations of the entire cellular and humeral variable between day 10th and day 20th ( p < 0.05 ) has not been found.Based on the result of this experiment’s it can be concluded that BCG vaccination will increase the cellular and humeral immunity response and sub cutaneous’s vaccination route is better that oral, from immunes response aspect side.Key word : BCG Vaccination, cellular, humeral, macrophage.

Abstract

Background : Alginat is one of the most used impression material in dentistry.. Alginate impression need to be disinfected to prevent cross-infection. One of effective natural material that can be used as disinfectant is avocado leaves. The process of disinfection could interfered the dimensional stability of alginate impression caused of imbibition properties in alginate itself. Purpose : To determine the differences of dimensional stability of alginate impression which disinfected with avocado leave extract 100% compared 0.5% sodium hypochlorite. Method : This research was an experimental laboratory with post -test only control group design. Sample were divided into 3 groups, 1 group were sprayed with aquadest as control group and 2 treatment groups were sprayed with avocado leaves extract 100% and 0.5% sodium hypochlorite and stored for 10 minutes. The impression then casted with gypsum in cylinder mold and diameter of the cast were measured. The One Way ANOVA test were used to determine the dimensional stability of the difference between the groups. Result :The results showed that the alginate impression which disinfected with avocado leaves extract 100% have a significant dimensional change, that is 0.123 ± 0.011 mm compared with 0.5% sodium hypochlorite only 0.034 ± 0.011 mm. Conclution : There are differences in dimensional stability of alginate impression which disinfected with avocado leaf extract 100% and 0.5% sodium hypochlorite. Abstract

Laryngeal carcinoma is a cancer of the larynx that attacks the normal epithelium of the larynx. This carcinoma is the second most common type of head and neck epithelial malignancy in the world and the second most common in the respiratory tract after lung cancer. Carcinoma of the larynx has non-specific clinical manifestations, causing delayed early detection, thus affecting the management and prognosis of patients. This study aimed to determined the frequency distribution of laryngeal carcinoma patients based on gender, age, clinical manifestations, location, histopathological type, degree of differentiation. This research is a categorical descriptive study. The study sample was patients diagnosed by an ENT doctor as a primary malignancy of laryngeal carcinoma with confirmation from histopathological examination.The results of this study showed that the majority of laryngeal carcinoma patients were male (94%), the most age group was 59-65 years old (30.61%), the most common clinical manifestation was hoarseness (42.8%), The most common tumor location was in the glottis (92%), the most common histopathological features were squamous cell carcinoma (98%), and the highest degree of differentiation was moderate differentiation (36.73%). The majority of laryngeal carcinoma patients are men with an age range of 59-65 years.
