Abstract

Nelangsa adalah sebuah kesedihan mendalam yang berorientasi pada perasaan yang dialami secara tidak sesuai dan tidak puas dalam realitas kehidupan. Kondisi nelangsa cenderung mengarah pada hilangnya sesuatu yang berharga, hilangnya afeksi, atau kegagalan dalam mencapai tujuan. Penyampaian kesedihan saat ini sudah masuk dalam media elektronik seperti film pendek. Film pendek Banyu karya Richard Suwae adalah film yang menceritakan tentang kehidupan Sri, seorang wanita yang hidup bersama anaknya Banyu. Anak yang dilahirkan dari kasus pemerkosaan pada dirinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adegan-adegan yang merepresentasikan makna nelangsa melalui analisa tahapan denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Adegan yang menjadi objek penelitian terdiri dari lima adegan yang dapat menandakan makna nelangsa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa korban pemerkosaan yang hamil, lebih memilih mengaborsi karena khawatir anak tersebut mengalami kondisi hidup yang nelangsa, kurangnya penegakan hukum untuk orang-orang miskin dan nelangsa, dan menjadi seorang pelacur bukanlah sebuah keinginan tetapi sebuah keterpaksaan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the drama Business Proposal on interest in consuming Korean culinary delights. The independent variable in this research is the drama Business Proposal. The dependent variable in this research is interest in consuming Korean culinary delights. This research uses questionnaire data from the Sesang ID Team community with a sample of 78 people. This research uses uses and effect theory and a quantitative approach, which focuses on hypothesis testing using simple linear regression analysis. The results of this research show that the drama Business Proposal has an influence on interest in consuming Korean culinary delights with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a calculated t value of 4.846 > t table 2.227

Abstract

The development of South Korean popular culture (Korean Wave) has influenced the way students express their identity on social media, one of which is through the use of Korean avatars in the X application. This phenomenon is not only visual, but also related to the meaning, motives, and communication experiences experienced by users. This study aims to understand the construction of meaning in the use of Korean avatars by X user students who live in Karawang, as well as to reveal the motives and communication experiences that underlie it. This study uses a qualitative method with an Alfred Schutz phenomenological approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of three informants selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results show that the use of Korean avatars is interpreted in various ways by students, including as a representation of fandom identity, a strategy for managing self-image and privacy, and a source of inspiration and self-confidence. The motives for using avatars consist of a because motive influenced by past experiences and interest in Korean culture, and an in order to motive oriented towards the goal of building a digital persona and social acceptance. In the communication experience, Korean avatars play a role as a symbol that influences social interactions, increasing a sense of security and self-confidence, although not free from negative comments. This study confirms that the use of Korean avatars is a symbolic communication practice that reflects the process of negotiating students' identities in digital spaces.
