Abstract

A mining company is a company engaged in the gold mining industry that implements an open-pit mining system. In carrying out mining operations, not all activities will always run smoothly. Based on incident trend data in mining companies, there are still a large number of incidents that occur in mining operational activities each year which result in property damage, minor injuries to workers, serious injuries to workers, occupational diseases, loss of working days, and losses to workers. company. The causes of work accidents are divided into several causes, namely, basic causes, indirect causes, and direct causes. The mining operations of mining companies are not free from hazards and work risks that can occur at any time in the mining work environment, especially in the work area in the pit main ridge. The main ridge pit work area is the main location for gold mining operations for mining companies which are now actively operating for many mining activities such as drilling, blasting, surveying, loading, and hauling activities where the condition of this work area has a relatively high level of danger and risk, by because it is necessary to analyze Occupational Health and Safety using the HIRARC method or identify potential hazards in the pit main ridge work area, then carry out an existing risk assessment to determine a control plan that is suitable for the conditions in the pit main ridge work area.

Abstract

Performance rating is one of the work processes in which the process is identified, starting with the need for training and education, assigning people to jobs they can master, and maintaining fairness in salaries, benefits, promotions, recruitment, and dismissals. One of the soap production companies in Surabaya has several divisions in the division of its work process. The packaging section is the part that has the most employees in its operation, and its process requires more human labour. So that the work rhythm in the packaging section is considered very dense. As a result of these conditions, some workers feel complaints such as easy body aches, back pain, reduced concentration, and quick tiredness, which affects performance. In addition, some workers feel more unemployed than doing work. This study aims to determine the performance rating of the operators in the packaging division to maximize employee working time. The results show that the highest performance rating value for each operator is in the sorting, wrap, and packaging tasks section, with a performance rating value of 1.11 compared to other tasks.

Abstract

PT. XY is a manufacturing company in Surabaya that produces household hygienic goods, such as soap bars and liquid soap. It is known that the actual condition of production in the company is still not optimal due to the uneven workload at each work station. This also results in workers experiencing excessive workloads that cause fatigue or illness, and there are more unemployed, causing decreased performance. According to the problems above, this research was conducted to determine the value of the workload received and to find out the optimal number of workers so that in the future work can be more effective and efficient. Solving workload analysis problems in this study using the Full Time Equivalent method. Based on the results of the study, it was known that the workload of the bar soap production section was 16 people, 3 people were found in the Normal category and 13 people experienced the workload in the Overload category. While the results of the workload of the liquid soap production section were 19 people, 6 people were found in the Normal category and 13 people experienced a workload in the Underload category. For calculating the optimal number of workers, the results obtained for the production of bar soap need to add 7 people to the workforce and liquid soap production to reduce the workforce by 3 people.

Abstract

Excessive work fatigue felt by workers due to the addition of working hours or overtime, a less ergonomic work environment is felt by employees who work at PT. XY, workers complained about the large demands of the tasks they received with insufficient rest time, some workers remained focused and concentrated for a long time resulting in physical and psychological workloads on workers. To resolve the problem, a questionnaire was distributed to the entire population of 40 powder production workers using the NASATLX method with a focus on 6 indicators, namely mental needs, physical needs, time requirements, work performance, effort, and frustration levels as well as the KEP/75/M.PAN/7/2004. The purpose of this research is to analyze the workload of powder production workers, determine the dominant indicators based on the NASA-TLX method and determine the optimal number of workers based on KEP/75/M.PAN/7/2004. From this study, the results of the workload of 40 workers were 9 workers in the rather high category, 30 workers in the high category, and 1 worker in the very high category. The number of workers 40 is optimal but the workload is not good enough.

Abstract

Waste is a by-product resulting from a process. Waste if disposed of freely without prior processing can harm the surrounding environment. Proper waste management makes waste more friendly to the environment. There are even several categories of waste that can be reused. A sugar factory is a company that processes sugar cane into crystal sugar that can be used for cooking. At the sugar factory, there are problems that occur, namely the absence of waste processing that is produced as a by-product of the production process. Therefore, in this research, the design of by-products of the sugar production process is carried out. after the waste treatment design was made in the sugar factory, parameters such as pH, BOD, COD, TSS, Oil and Fat, Sulfide, which was previously harmful to the environment, has met quality standards after processing.

Abstract

Abstract

Technological advances in the field of Transportation, a socio-cultural truth that occurs in the community, that today the internet greatly affects citizens in undergoing activities in the community. The number of users of smart phones or smartphones, both on android and iOS systems makes people dependent on smartphones and the internet. Online motorcycle taxi drivers are required to have a mobile phone that can function properly and can be used throughout the day or during his work. This requires online motorcycle taxi drivers to bring their mobile phone cables and Chargers in order to continue receiving orders. Based on the above, there is an opportunity to make a convertible bag equipped with solar panels using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. This study uses experimental methods. This study found that the final specifications of the bag are cheap, there are charging features, easy to store, convenient to use, have a large enough size, have good quality, and design that consumers want. Solar panels can charge a battery of 5,600 mah for one hour in bright sunlight conditions, with this figure can charge mobile phone batteries in general from 0% -100% less than 1 hour

Abstract

PT XYZ is a make-to-order private company engaged in fabrication, design, and construction. PT XYZ has received repetitive orders, especially for Metal Duct products. There are still many worker complaints in the production process, especially in the welding section that does not apply ergonomic work postures. This study aimed to determine the work posture score so that the action level category of workers in the metal duct welding section at PT. XYZ with the REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) method and suggestions for correct working posture improvements in the welding section at PT. XYZ. The results showed that the highest REBA score was for welding worker 5, who got a REBA score of 11, where this value got an action level 4 value which is a very high risk, and there is a need for corrective action right now. Welding workers 3 get a REBA score of 9. This value gets an action level 3 score, which is a high risk, and immediate corrective action is needed. Welding workers 1, 2, and 4 get the same REBA score of 5. This value gets an action level 2 score, which is moderate risk and needs improvement. From the final value obtained, it can be proposed to improve work posture for welding workers who get a work posture risk value of 2, where this value is lower than the initial work posture risk value.
