Abstract

This study aims to determine how push-up and pull-up exercises affect the underhand passing ability in volleyball games among middle school students participating in extracurricular activities, as well as to identify the differences in effectiveness between these two types of exercises. The study used an experimental method with a pre-experimental pretest-posttest design. The research sample comprised 18 volleyball extracurricular participants from Public Middle School 3 Mare, divided into two training groups. The instrument used was the Brumbach Forearm Pass Wall-Volley Test. The training program lasted for four meetings per week. The data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, a homogeneity test, and a paired sample t-test with a significance level of 5%, all performed with SPSS 22.0. The results showed a significant increase in underhand passing ability in both training groups (p = 0.000). The pull-up group experienced an increase in average score from 13.89 to 20.33 (an increase of 6.44 points), while the push-up category experienced an increase from 13.89 to 19.78 (an increase of 5.89 points). Comparative analysis indicated that pull-up training had a greater effect on improving underarm passing ability than push-up training. Both pull-up and push-up training were effective in improving the underarm passing ability of extracurricular students participating in volleyball games at middle school. However, pull-up training showed higher effectiveness because it involved muscle activation that was more relevant to underarm passing techniques and had a more specific movement pattern similarity to underarm passing skills in volleyball games.

Abstract

Global climate change demands immediate technological advancements, particularly in the transport industry that continues to use fossil fuels. One viable solution is to reduce the size of vehicle engines to make them more fuel-efficient and lower carbon emissions. The purpose of this research is to assess the effect of reducing engine size on fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions in low-cost green car hatchbacks in Indonesia. The technique employed is straightforward analytical modeling, employing Pearson correlation analysis and linear regression among three significant variables: engine capacity, fuel economy, and CO₂ emission. The data are obtained from the technical specifications of four hatchback automobile models, all of which have an engine capacity of less than 1,200 cc. Findings indicate that smaller engine capacity is accompanied by greater fuel economy and lower carbon emissions. The lowest engine size of 998 cc is used in the Toyota Agya, which demonstrates the most efficient fuel and lowest emissions. The statistical analysis shows that there is an inverse relationship between engine size and fuel efficiency, but a positive relationship between engine size and CO₂ emissions. The limitation of sample size causes reduced statistical power of the model. In conclusion, engine downsizing can prove to be a productive approach in promoting green schemes, but additional research with a larger data set and other determinants must be undertaken to establish a more advanced and precise model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh penambahan bubuk kayu manis terhadap karakteristik organoleptik (warna, aroma, tekstur dan rasa) abon nabati dari bonggol pisang kepok, serta kadar air, kadar serat kasar, dan mikroba totalnya. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan faktor tunggal (penambahan kayu manis) yang disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Level perlakuan yang dicoba adalah 0,0 g, 0,5 g, dan 1,0 g. Setiap perlakuan diulang tiga kali. Jumlah bonggol pisang kepok yang digunakan adalah 100 g. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kayu manis pada pembuatan abon nabati bonggol pisang kepok memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap karakteristik organoleptik untuk semua atribut, kadar air, kadar serat kasar, dan angka lempeng total. Penambahan bubuk kayu manis sebesar 1,0 g menghasilkan abon nabati dengan respons organoleptik terbaik untuk aroma, rasa dan tekstur, sedangkan respons hedonik untuk warna terbaik adalah tanpa penambahan kayu manis.

Abstract

Shares are rights owned by a person against a company due to the delivery of capital, either in part or in whole. Investors invest in stocks and try to get maximum results, but many investors are still unsure about the risks involved in investing. To minimize risk, investors need to predict stock prices with an accurate method. Several methods that can be implemented to predict stock data include Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU). The research objective to be achieved in this study is to compare the performance of each algorithm in producing a more accurate stock price forecasting model by testing neurons (10, 20, 30) and epochs (50, 75, 100). The research was conducted on the stock price data of PT. Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) which is a mining sector share with the largest capitalization value. Tests on some of the algorithms above got the best results using 82% training data and 18% test data, namely the MLP model with 10 neurons and 100 epochs with a MAPE training data result of 2.325 and a MAPE test data of 2.014. Based on the test results, MLP can predict MDKA stock prices for the 2018-2022 period with good performance and a relatively small error rate, while tests using the LSTM and GRU methods still produce large errors. Thus, it can be concluded that MLP can predict stock prices with more accurate results.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers and remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality among women worldwide. According to WHO Globocan 2020, breast cancer ranks second globally, with 2,262,419 cases out of a total of 19,292,289 cancer cases, accounting for approximately 11.7%. Early detection plays a critical role in reducing breast cancer mortality. In this study, a machine learning-based approach using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) was employed to classify breast cancer using ultrasound imaging. The dataset, collected by Al-Dhabyani et al. at Baheya Hospital in 2018, consists of ultrasound images of women aged between 25 and 75 years. The proposed CNN model includes stages of data input, preprocessing, training, testing, and performance evaluation. The model achieved an accuracy of 85%, demonstrating promising results for automated breast cancer detection. Further optimization is recommended to improve classification performance.

Abstract

Electrochemical sensors are a reliable method for detecting the presence of heavy metal ions such as lead (Pb²⁺) in aquatic environments. In this study, a sensor was developed based on a carbon paste electrode modified with ZnO nanomaterials and polyaniline, and integrated with a data acquisition system using a microcontroller. Voltammetric characterization results showed that the sensor could detect Pb²⁺ with high sensitivity at low concentrations. This system is expected to be applied for real-time and portable water quality monitoring.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional merupakan bagian integral dari warisan budaya bangsa yang tidak hanya mengandung nilai-nilai historis dan sosial, tetapi juga memiliki potensi besar sebagai media pembelajaran dan pengembangan fisik anak. Namun, di era modern yang sarat dengan teknologi digital dan gaya hidup sedentari, anak-anak sekolah dasar semakin jarang terlibat dalam aktivitas fisik yang aktif dan mulai kehilangan ketertarikan terhadap permainan tradisional. Hal ini menjadi tantangan sekaligus peluang bagi dunia pendidikan dan masyarakat untuk mengintegrasikan kembali permainan tradisional dalam kehidupan anak-anak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk merevitalisasi permainan tradisional sebagai upaya peningkatan aktivitas fisik siswa sekaligus pelestarian budaya lokal di SD Negeri 5 Sigli. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dengan melibatkan guru, siswa, dan pihak sekolah secara aktif dalam seluruh proses intervensi. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung permainan tradisional seperti gobak sodor, bentengan, dan engklek yang dilaksanakan secara terstruktur selama empat minggu. Siswa kelas 3 dan 4 dipilih sebagai subjek utama kegiatan. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan instrumen Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children (PAQ-C) untuk mengukur perubahan tingkat aktivitas fisik sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam skor aktivitas fisik siswa setelah mengikuti program, serta peningkatan pemahaman terhadap nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam permainan. Selain itu, guru dan pihak sekolah memberikan respon positif dan menyatakan kesiapan untuk mengintegrasikan permainan tradisional dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa permainan tradisional tidak hanya efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas fisik anak, tetapi juga mampu menumbuhkan rasa cinta terhadap budaya lokal. Oleh karena itu, pengintegrasian permainan tradisional dalam lingkungan sekolah dapat menjadi strategi edukatif yang holistik, mendukung pengembangan aspek fisik, sosial, dan kultural anak secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Audio Visual Media Use Learning Model to the Skills and Learning Outcomes of the Forward Roll in Physical Education Learning in Elementary Schools in Makassar City. This study uses a quantitative approach to descriptive analysis of the type of research, namely classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 30 students of grade V of SDI Bertingkat Labuang Baji Makassar. The focus of this study is the Application of the Audio Visual Media Use Learning Model and Learning Outcomes to the Forward Roll Skill with the theme of locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative movements. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, testing and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study use quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the learning outcomes of students of SDI Bertingkat Labuang Baji Makassar in the subject of the combination of locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative movements in floor gymnastics activities, namely forward rolls with the Application of the Audio Visual Learning Model. In the Pre-cycle, student learning completeness only reached 67%. After the Action in cycle I, the completion increased to 77%, in Cycle 2, the student's learning completion reached 96%, this shows that the Action taken has been effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The effect of leg muscle explosive power on lay up shoot ability in basketball games on students of SMAN 10 Makassar; 2) The effect of hand-eye coordination on lay up shoot ability in basketball games on students of SMAN 10 Makassar; and 3) The effect of leg muscle explosive power, hand-eye coordination and motivation on lay up shoot ability in basketball games on students of SMAN 10 Makassar. Descriptive regression is the research method used in this thesis. A total of 20 athletes were selected from the entire student population at SMAN 10 Makassar for this study. With the help of SPSS software version 23.00, the research instruments used were regression analysis, data normality analysis, and descriptive analysis. The findings of the study indicate that: 1) Leg muscle explosive power has a significant effect on lay up shoot ability in basketball games on students of SMAN 10 Makassar with a correlation value of 0.599; 2) Hand-eye coordination has a significant influence on the ability to make lay up shots in basketball games for students of SMAN 10 Makassar with a correlation value of 0.600; and 3) Leg muscle explosive power and hand-eye coordination have a significant influence on the ability to make lay up shots in basketball games for students of SMAN 10 Makassar with a correlation value of 0.697.

Abstract

Each region has its own customs and culture, such as in Aceh, a part of the culture is the Acehnese traditional house. Acehnese houses are houses that are shaped like a stage, this research aims to find out how the cultural and architectural values of the Acehnese traditional house museum are are in the Meureudu city park and how it is developing. Data collection techniques in this study are direct observation, interviews and documentation, while the approach is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study are that the Aceh House Museum is a luxury house made from teak, merbau, and semantok wood which is supported by 28 pillars and decorated with seven kinds of carved ornaments and in each porch there are historical relics and other cultural values. This Aceh house museum was established in 2020, but will only be visited by tourists at the end of 2021 and 2022.
