Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition abilities taught with discovery learning models. This study us quantitative approach with the type of experimental research and the research design us pretest and posttest design type experiments. The sample was chosen randomly from two classes of 7th grade in one of public junior high school in Sigli, Aceh. The research instrument used was mathematical communication ability test and mathematical disposition questionnaire. The data analysis of students' communication and disposition ability was done by two-way ANAVA test at a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that the improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition skills taught with discovery learning models was better than those taught with conventional approaches. Furthermore, there was no interaction between discovery learning model and the level of students towards improving communication skills and mathematical dispositions. Therefore, the mathematics teachers can implement discovery learning models in learning to build the next polyhedron. Future researchers should conduct research at other schools in order to improve students' mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning

Abstract

Various electronic travel aids for people having visual impairment have been developed based on ultrasonic object detection employing the HC-SR04 ultrasonic proximity sensor. However, most of them do not consider blind spots where harmful objects cannot be detected. This study discusses the development of a vest that can detect objects in front of the blinds more widely and provide sound alert if an object in front is detected. This detector was developed based on an Arduino Uno equipped with five HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors, and a mini DFPlayer module. In addition, blind area analysis of sensor detection is carried out to overcome objects that are not detected by similar studies. Horizontally, this travel vest sweeps objects up to 150 cm in distance with a 25o right or left angle deviation from forward direction. Vertically, object detection reaches up to 150 cm in distance with both upward and downward deviation of 30o from the vest.

Abstract

Fraction is one of the difficult topic for students. One way to reduce students’ difficulties is to implement Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) by integrating Islamic values such as Sacrifice Worship (Ibadah Kurban). In addition, the use of technology to integrate sacrificial worship in fraction learning is also expected to increase students' interest in learning in the 21st century and can improve students' understanding. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an e-module for learning fractions through RME with the context of Sacrifice worship. The developed e-module contains learning trajectories, live worksheets, videos, and post-tests. This type of research is research and development which follows the stages of Plomp, especially in the prototyping and assessment stages. The instruments in this study were validation sheets. The validators consisted of one mathematics education lecturer and two Banda Aceh City junior high school teachers. Based on the validity test it was concluded that the e-module meets the valid criteria. The implication of this research is the development of e-modules needs to be continued to test practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

The Government and Border Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of the Riau Islands Province faces the problem of government services that are not yet optimal due to the weakness of the government administration service system. These weaknesses include the fact that manual systems are still used, which are not updated and are not responsive to regional conditions, changes, and technological developments. For this reason, it is necessary to accelerate services through the implementation of e-government. Starting from these problems, the aim of this research is to analyze the acceleration of government administration services at the Government and Border Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of Riau Islands Province through the implementation of e-government. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research was conducted on employees of the Government and Border Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of Riau Islands Province and obtained by conducting in-depth interviews with selected informants. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The research concludes that the acceleration of government administration services carried out at the Government and Border Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of the Riau Islands Province through the implementation of e-government has gone well and can provide services that are easier, faster, and more open, thus making it easier for applicants.

Abstract

Meningkatnya mobilitas masyarakat mengakibatkan munculnya keinginan untuk melakukan kegiatan transaksi menjadi lebih mudah, efektif dan efisien namun tetap aman. Salah satu hasil dari perkembangan FinTech yang bisa dirasakan saat ini oleh masyarakat yaitu adanya perubahan bentuk uang, baik uang kertas maupun uang logam yang mulai digantikan oleh electronic money atau e-money. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat untuk menggunakan e-money di kalangan mahasiswa UIN SGD Bandung. Dalam penelitian ini teori penerimaan yang digunakan yaitu modifikasi dan pengembangan dari teori Technology Acceptance Model yang berfokus pada tiga faktor yaitu faktor persepsi manfaat, persepsi kemudahan penggunaan, serta persepsi risiko. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deksriptif dan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Penelitian ini menggunakan 380 responden dengan hasil persepsi manfaat, persepsi kemudahan penggunaan, dan persepsi risiko baik secara parsial maupun simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat penggunaan e-money. Abstract

This community engagement initiative focuses on enhancing the promotional strategies of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) associated with Karang Taruna in Jayamukti Village, aimed at bolstering their visibility and competitiveness in the digital market. Addressing the limited social media presence and promotional skills of these MSMEs, the program introduces targeted training on social media management, content creation, and audience engagement techniques. Using a structured method that combines workshops, hands-on assistance, and mentorship, participants develop skills in producing visually appealing and relevant content for platforms like Instagram and Facebook. Initial results indicate a significant improvement in participants' understanding and application of social media tools, setting a foundation for increased market reach and economic impact on the local community. Future stages of the program will focus on advanced analytics and sustainable promotion strategies, ensuring long-term benefits and self- sufficiency for the MSMEs involved.

Abstract

Merek merupakan aset berharga perusahaan yang mengandung reputasi dan nilai ekonomis. Penelitian ini menganalisis sengketa merek antara MS GLOW dan PS GLOW terkait dugaan pelanggaran persamaan pada pokoknya. Permasalahan yang dikaji adalah: (1) Bagaimana pertimbangan hukum Majelis Hakim dalam Putusan Pengadilan Niaga Surabaya No. 2/Pdt.Sus.HKI/Merek/2022/PN.Niaga Sby Jo. Putusan Pengadilan Niaga Medan No. 2/Pdt.Sus.HKI/Merek/2022/PN.Niaga Mdn ditinjau dari UU No. 20 Tahun 2016 tentang Merek dan Indikasi Geografis; dan (2) Bagaimana akibat hukum dari kedua putusan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PS GLOW terbukti melanggar Pasal 21 ayat (1) UU No. 20/2016 karena memiliki persamaan pada pokoknya dengan MS GLOW untuk barang sejenis kosmetik. Pertimbangan hakim didasarkan pada bukti kepemilikan merek terdaftar MS GLOW sebagai first to file, adanya persamaan visual dan fonetik antara kedua merek, serta potensi kebingungan publik. Akibat hukumnya, merek PS GLOW dibatalkan pendaftarannya pada 13 Juni 2022. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya pengetatan seleksi pendaftaran merek dan sosialisasi putusan sengketa merek melalui media massa untuk mencegah pelanggaran serupa.

Abstract

Abstract Entrepreneurial motivation is a key factor in improving the economic well-being of communities, especially for those living around the Cipakundung River, Balonggede Village. The low level of entrepreneurship in this area is caused by various obstacles, including limited capital, lack of skills, and minimal understanding of environmentally-based business opportunities. Therefore, this study aims to enhance the motivation and entrepreneurial skills of the community through socialization programs, training, and business mentoring based on an educational and community empowerment approach. The method used in this study involved a participatory approach with stages of socialization and problem identification, entrepreneurship training, business mentoring, as well as monitoring and evaluation. This program was implemented for 50 participants from various community groups living around the Cipakundung River. The results showed a significant increase in public awareness and interest in entrepreneurship, as well as improved skills in business planning and marketing strategies. Additionally, this program successfully encouraged the formation of new business groups that utilize local resources, such as waste processing into economically valuable products. In conclusion, an educational and community-based approach has proven effective in increasing motivation and sustaining community businesses, although continuous support in the form of capital access and market network strengthening is still needed to further optimize the developed enterprises. Abstract

This study aims to enhance digital legal literacy among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Desa Baharu Utara through legal education on electronic contracts. The rapid development of digital technology has transformed business practices, yet many MSMEs lack understanding of the legal aspects of electronic contracts, which exposes them to potential risks. This research employs a participatory approach, combining workshops, focus group discussions, and practical training to educate MSMEs about the principles, validity, and enforcement of electronic contracts. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants' understanding of electronic contracts, including their ability to draft and review such agreements. The study concludes that legal education is essential for empowering MSMEs in the digital economy, enabling them to protect their rights and interests effectively.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers and remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality among women worldwide. According to WHO Globocan 2020, breast cancer ranks second globally, with 2,262,419 cases out of a total of 19,292,289 cancer cases, accounting for approximately 11.7%. Early detection plays a critical role in reducing breast cancer mortality. In this study, a machine learning-based approach using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) was employed to classify breast cancer using ultrasound imaging. The dataset, collected by Al-Dhabyani et al. at Baheya Hospital in 2018, consists of ultrasound images of women aged between 25 and 75 years. The proposed CNN model includes stages of data input, preprocessing, training, testing, and performance evaluation. The model achieved an accuracy of 85%, demonstrating promising results for automated breast cancer detection. Further optimization is recommended to improve classification performance.
