Abstract

Hydraulic jump is a phenomenon that occurs in stilling basins from supercritical to subcritical conditions. The design of the Krueng Sabee dam aims to meet the needs of the people in the Aceh Jaya district. So this study aims to identify the behavior of hydraulic jumps that occur in energy dissipators in the form of jump height and energy dissipation to obtain an optimal design. The research method is a physical model study with an undistorted scale of 1:30. The energy dissipator used in this plan is the USBR IV stilling basin type. The discharge flowed on the physical model of the Krueng Sabee dam with return periods of Q2, Q5, Q10, Q25, Q50, Q100, and Q1000 years. Tests were carried out on 2 types of models, namely the Detail Engineering Design (DED) model series and the modified model series. In the modified model series, the addition of a 3 m high slope with a slope of 1:2, the elevation of the stilling pool was lowered to a depth of 3 m, and the addition of the length of the stilling pool was 4.8 m. The results of this study indicate that the modified series model is more optimal than the DED series model. The pattern of high jump and jump length increased against Froude numbers on the upstream jump showed a series of modified models better. The results of energy dissipation observations show that the modified model series is more competitive. The highest relative hydraulic jump ((y1-y2)/y1) that occurred in the modified model series was 19.40 (almost 3 times higher) than the highest ((y1-y2)/y1) model of the DED series model, which was 6.54. In the modified series, the farther Lj/y1 occurs the greater ∆E/y1 generated. On the other hand, there is a large decrease in relative energy dissipation (∆E/y1) with increasing relative hydraulic jump length (Lj/y1) in the DED series. The results of the analysis show a large decrease in ∆E/y1 to an increase in the ratio y1/y2 in both series of stilling basin models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of digital-based PAI learning media in training students' critical thinking skills at SMPS IT Al-Hijrah Laut Dendang. Digital learning media is a very important innovation in modern education, it can enable the delivery of more interesting material. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The participants of the study included PAI teachers, students, and school staff. The results showed that the use of digital-based PAI learning media at SMS IT Al-Hijrah significantly improved students' critical thinking skills. The digital media used are visual such as books and audio visual such as movies or learning videos, computer-based media such as PPT and KHOT applications used in the PAI learning process. Students became more visible in the learning process showing improvement in the ability to identify problems, evaluate information, and make logical conclusions. It can be concluded that the research confirms that digital-based PAI learning media is effective in training students' critical thinking skills Thus, the results of this study are expected to contribute to improving the quality of PAI learning at SMPS IT Al-Hijrah Laut Dendang as well as being a reference for other schools in implementing digital technology in religious education.

Abstract

The Krueng Aceh Watershed (DAS) is one of the state assets managed by the Sumatra-I River Basin, so it is widely used by the surrounding community to meet the needs of life on the banks of the Krueng Aceh river. Management of land along the river is the main goal to anticipate in reducing the potential for flooding. Therefore, the author wants to examine in detail the process of riverbank land use carried out by the Krueng Barona Jaya community, forms of riverbank land use and their use according to the perspective of milk al-daulah. The method used in this study is a qualitative method through primary data obtained by direct field research using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the process of using land along the Krueng Aceh river by the Krueng Baroena Jaya community after the Krueng Aceh river arrangement refers to the past law, namely customary law, so there is no administrative data recorded as evidence that they have permission to use the riverbanks. The forms of land use along the Krueng Aceh river that are carried out by the Krueng Barona Jaya community on riverbank land are by constructing buildings, opening culinary stalls, plantation land and livestock land. In terms of utilization carried out by the people of Krueng Barona Jaya in terms of buildings, the licensing process, and the forms of utilization, it is a violation that is contrary to the Regulation of the Minister of PUPR of the Republic of Indonesia Number 28/PRT/M/2015 Article 22 concerning Determination of River Border Lines and the concept of milk al-daula. Therefore, the government must immediately bring back the land along the Krueng Aceh banks so that its utilization is in accordance with the applicable provisions.

Abstract

Water is a basic need for living things. This research aims to know the reduction of microbe content (Escherichia coli) in well water by using microfiltration membrane, adsorption using bentonite and aeration. The capability of those three methods in reducing E. coli was examined on the variety of time contact: 30, 60, 90, 120,180 and 300 minutes. The result of the research shows that using those methods has shown that the optimum percentage of E. coli reduction by using microfiltration membrane with 23 Most Probable Number (MPN)/100 mL of E. coli initial concentration in well water and became 0 MPN/100 mL by 100 % of E. coli reduction. Adsorption using bentonite resulted in a 78% reduction in E. coli and reduction by using aeration, the reduction of E. coli by 21%. This study shows that microfiltration has the best ability compared to other methods.

Abstract

Wound healing in the mouth has its challenges due to masticatory movements and the presence of bacteria that can inhibit its process. The aim of this study was to analyze the contents of red algae (Gracilaria verrucosa) from Indonesia, and its potential as a wound-healing agent for oral wounds using animal model. Red algae content was determined by phytochemical tests and gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS). The wound was made by making an incision on the gingival mucosa of Rattus norvegicus and the parameters assessed were bleeding time, number of fibroblast cells, and time of wound closure. Three doses of G. verrucosa gel were used (2.5%, 5%, and 10%) and the gels were applied twice a day, at 6:00 and 18:00. Application was carried out topically by applying 0.1 ml of gel to the incision wound using a 1 mL syringe. Our phytochemical test indicated that the G. verrucosa contained alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids, and phenols. The dominant contains of the G. verrucosa were glycerol (36.81%), hexadecenoic acid (20.74%), and cholesterol (7.4%). The hemostasis test showed that the 2.5% G. verrucosa extract gel had the shortest bleeding time, 33.98±5.33 seconds. On the seventh day of the initial proliferation phase, the number of fibroblasts was not significantly different among groups. On day 14, the number of fibroblasts was only significantly different between 10% G. verrucosa and untreated group (p=0.007). On day 28, however, both 5% and 10% G. verrucosa were significantly higher compared to untreated group, both had p=0.010. Daily clinical examination showed that animals that were given 2.5% and 5% of G. verrucosa extract gel experienced wound closure on day 10. Animals treated with 10% of extract gel, all wounds healed on day 9. This study suggested that G. verrucosa extract could accelerate wound closure and wound healing.

Abstract

This research is entitled Identification of Difficulties for History Education Teachers in Implementing Learning Through the 2013 Curriculum at SMAN 1 Keumala, Pidie Regency. The problem in this research is the teacher's difficulties in planning, implementing, assessing learning through the 2013 curriculum. This study aims to find out how difficult it is for teachers to implement learning through the 2013 curriculum at SMAN 1 Keumala, Pidie Regency. The informants of this study were all 5 teachers of History Education at SMAN 1 Keumala, Pidie Regency. The method used is descriptive analysis with the approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed by calculating percentages and simple averages. The results showed that the teacher's level of difficulty in planning learning through the 2013 curriculum obtained an average score of 3.11 and was included in the medium category. Then the teacher's level of difficulty in carrying out learning based on the 2013 curriculum, obtained an average score of 3.19 and is included in the medium category. Meanwhile, the teacher's level of difficulty in learning assessment based on the 2013 curriculum, obtained an average score of 2.93 and is included in the medium category. Because the percentage of difficult answer choices at the assessment stage is higher than the other stages, the assessment stage is the most difficult stage in learning based on the 2013 curriculum.Keywords : Difficulties of History Education Teachers, Curriculum 2013

Abstract

In this study, the researchers investigated the state of water sources and the potential of bentonite as a water treatment agent. The study encompassed measurements of key water quality parameters for river and well water sources, including pH, TDS, conductivity, and salinity. The findings revealed that while pH levels were generally within the clean water standards, TDS values exceeded the threshold, particularly in river water samples. This suggests contamination due to urban activities and rising sea levels. Furthermore, the study explored using both activated and non-activated bentonite as an adsorption agent to remove contaminants from water sources. The results indicated that bentonite effectively increased pH levels, especially in well water samples, and significantly reduced TDS, conductivity, and salinity values, with non-activated bentonite being a preferred option for river water treatment and activated bentonite for well water treatment. These findings emphasize the potential of bentonite as a valuable water treatment solution. The specific characteristics of the water source should guide the choice between activated and non-activated bentonite. This tailored approach can lead to more effective and sustainable water treatment, contributing to improved water quality and availability for the community in the coastal region.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) based Quantitative Structure Retention Relationship (QSRR) to predict the Kovats retention index of compounds in gas chromatography. The model was trained using 340 essential oil compounds and their molecular descriptors. The evaluation of the ANFIS models revealed promising results, achieving an R2 of 0.974, an RMSE of 48.12, and an MAPE of 3.3% on the testing set. These findings highlight the ANFIS approach as remarkably accurate in its predictive capacity for determining the Kovats retention index in the context of gas chromatography. This study provides valuable perspectives on the efficiency of retention index prediction through ANFIS-based QSRR methods and the potential practicality in compound analysis and chromatographic optimization.

Abstract

Program studi teknik lingkungan merupakan salah satu jurusan yang ada di Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Program studi ini memanfaatkan perkembangan era kini melalui teknologi informasi dalam mendukung organisasinya, dengan memfokuskan pada desain faktor strategi perusahaan, tujuan perusahaan, peran teknologi dan informasi, dan ukuran dari perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana framework COBIT 2019 ini dapat diadaptasikan dengan strategi program studi, peran teknologi dan informasi dalam mencapai tujuan program studi, dan mengukur standar program studi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi identifikasi, studi literatur, pengumpulan data, dan pengolahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keberhasilan framework COBIT 2019 dalam memajukan strategi program studi dengan cara pengambilan keputusan yang tepat, meningkatkan sumber daya teknologi dan informasi dalam mencapaikesesuaian dengan tujuan program studi, dan pengukuran standar program studi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini untuk mengamati pentingnya framework COBIT 2019 dalam mencapai keberhasilan program studi dan menyarankan pengadopsian framework COBIT 2019 pada program studi.Kata Kunci: Tata Kelola, Teknologi Informasi, COBIT 2019

Abstract

This research is entitled Learning History Based on Portuguese Fort Media (Mess Kupaleh) as Revitalization of Cultural Heritage in Indrajaya 2 State Senior High School, the purpose of this study is (1) To find out the application of Portuguese fortress (Mess Kupaleh) media-based learning as Revitalization of Cultural Relics in Public Senior High Schools 2 Indrajaya. (2) To find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of Learning History Based on Portuguese Fort Media (Mess Kupaleh) as Revitalization of Cultural Heritage in Indrajaya 2 Public High School. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. This research is included in the type of experimental research. The data collection technique used is the observation method, the interview method and the documentation method. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique is the quantitative data analysis technique. The results of the research Based on the results of data processing, the value of tcount = 4.26 while ttable = 1.68, so that the Fortress Media-Based History Learning Course can improve student achievement and interest in learning. Supporting Learning Factors History Based on Portuguese Fort Media (Mess Kupaleh) As Revitalization of Cultural Heritage in Indrajaya 2 Public High School, namely the existence of sufficient facilities and infrastructure at school, good interaction between teachers and students, availability of sufficient history learning time, and factors from individual students themselves, as well as environmental factors that are also very decisive. Inhibiting factors for Learning History Based on Portuguese Fort Media (Mess Kupaleh) as Revitalization of Cultural Heritage at Indrajaya 2 State Senior High School include a lack of historical teaching materials, external factors that greatly influence are the school environment, and internal factors the physiological conditions and psychological conditions of students during the learning process. Keywords: Learning History, Portuguese Castle Media (Mess Kupaleh) Revitalization of Cultural Heritage
