Abstract

This study aimed to describe the need of culture-based Arabic reading materials by using multimedia. It used research and development approach proposed by Borg and Gall. This study was started by collecting some information through literaturereview, observation, documentation, and interview of 10 students of Arabic Language department students of UNJ. The result of this study showed that there are some aspects of Arabic reading materials for students in higher educationthat should be developed. First, the learning theme. Some of the learning themes that should be discussed are: 1) campus life, 2) academic activities, 3)students achievement, etc. Second, the aspect of multimedia. In this case, the learning material is needed to be designed by using multimedia completed with list of vocabulary, lesson summary, and some explanation in the form of audio and video. Third, the aspect of culture. The perspective of Indonesian culture is really necessary to be included in the Arabic reading materials for students. Abstract

This research aims to develop Arabic textbook material for the Junior High School level. It used a research and development approach that involves 10 steps. The research began with a survey to obtain empirical data related to the Arabic language learning in Junior High School. It found that (1) the competency standard concerning the application of linguistic elements that must be mastered by students was not clearly formulated; it was only a global formula included at the end of each main competencies and basic competencies determined by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in each semester in each class level. (2) The textbook authors depend much on their individual knowledge which tends to differ from one author to another. In this case, the main problem of language material is related to the lack of attention from the author in compiling textbooks systematically in accordance with the principles of gradation. This problem has helped create the impression that Arabic language is difficult to learn. (3) The textbooks developed in this study used linguistic materials that were arranged in stages with Transformational Grammar theory. This developmental study of linguistic material is a new model in developing textbooks.

Abstract

This study aimed to get a clear description of The Prohibition Language Style and Its Meanings or Purposes in The Noble Quran Surah Al-Maidah. This study is an analysis of literature research using the qualitative descriptive method with the content analysis. the result of Prohibition Language Style and Its Meanings or Purposes in The Noble Quran Surah Al-Maidah is as follows: There are 21 findings of the prohibition language style in 16 verses and they are in verses 2, 3, 8, 21, 26, 41, 44, 48, 49, 51, 57, 68, 77, 87, 95, 101. Each verse consists of real and figurative meaning. The real meanings are 6 findings in 5 verses and the figurative meaning are 15 findings in 14 verses. These figurative meanings consist of 5 meanings, that is (1) The meaning of threat has 6 findings in 5 verses, (2) The meaning of tranquility has 5 findings in 5 verses, (3) The meaning of reproach has 2 findings in 2 verses, (4) The meaning of hatred has 1 finding in 1 verse, (5) The meaning of advice and guidance has 1 finding in 1 verse. يهدف هذا البحث إلى الحصول على معرفة أساليب النهي ومعانيها أو أغراضها في القرآن الكريم سورة المائدة. وإن هذا البحث من ضمن الدراسة المكتبية باستخدام الطريقة الوصفية بأسلوب تحليل المحتوى. فنتيجة البحث عن أساليب النهي في سورة المائدة هي يوجد 21 شاهدا من أسلوب النهي في 16آية وهي في آية 2، 3، 8، 21، 26، 41، 44، 48، 49، 51، 57، 68، 77، 87، 95، 101. وكلها تتكون من المعنى الحقيقي والمعنى المجازي. وتكون المعاني الحقيقية في 6 شواهد وذلك في 5 آيات. وتكون المعاني المجازية في 15 شاهدا وذلك في 14 آية. تتكون هذه المعاني المجازية في 5 معان وهي: (1) التهديد في 6 شواهد وهي في 5 أيات، (2) الائتناس في 5 شواهد وهي في 5 آيات، (3) التوبيخ في شاهدين وهي في آيتين، (4) الكراهة في شاهد واحد وفي آية واحدة، (5) النصح والإرشاد في شاهد واحد وفي آية واحدة.

Abstract

The lesson plan was a stage of instruction that regulates learning activities in the classroom that can have a positive impact on students' abilities in certain subjects. The purpose of this study was to identify the need for lesson plans in essay writing courses through the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The study used a qualitative approach through the descriptive method. Participants were students in the 3rd semester of 2020/2021 and lecturer. It was conducted in Arabic Language Education at the State University of Jakarta. Data is taken from the document, interview, and questionnaire. The data analysis process used data reduction, data display, and taking a conclusion. The results show that the lesson plans that have been made still have weaknesses and do not meet the Arabic language mastery standards from the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR) standards. However, the results of the study have implications for the level of understanding of the lecturer related to the concept of a lesson plan that must be designed to suit the needs of students, the current situation, and also students' understanding of each mastery of the material being studied.

Abstract

The aims of the research were to develop Arabic learning material model for the senior high school level which was able to become a standard textbook in Arabic learning for high school. It was a realization of the National Language Politics policy that stated, Arabic as a language of religion and culture is taught from elementary school to university level. The research used to research and development (R & D) approach that refers to Borg and Gall theory. There are 10 steps in the development research cycle. However, it was given the small-scale research, which developed materials and media Arabic learning in Jakarta area, this research did at the stage of getting the final product, namely the prototype of Arabic learning material developed. The research was begun through survey research to obtain an empirical sequence of Arabic learning as a basis to support rational empirical strategies in the development design of Arabic learning materials in high school. This research produced Arabic learning textbooks of class X to class XII at the High School level which are equipped with media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan wujud fungsi dan gaya bahasa pada novel Rasa karya Tere Liye dengan menggunakan kajian stilistika. Stilistika merupakan teori interdisipliner linguistik-sastra yang menelaah penggunaan gaya bahasa pada teks sastra. Dengan demikian, data penelitian terdiri dari beberapa aspek gaya bahasa, yaitu diksi, kohesi dan koherensi, dan sarana retorika yang terdiri dari bahasa figuratif dan citraan. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif-analisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan: (1) Aspek diksi berfokus pada keberagaman diksi dengan pemerolehan data sebanyak 134 buah yang terdiri dari diksi bertema, diksi konotatif, diksi kritik, diksi humor, diksi didaktif, dan diksi bahasa slang. (2) Aspek kohesi-koherensi berfokus pada kepaduan wacana dari segi bentuk dan makna wacana. Pada aspek kohesi, data yang diperoleh sebanyak 150 buah yang terdiri dari kohesi gramatikal dan kohesi leksikal. Pada aspek koherensi, data yang diperoleh sebanyak 150 buah yang terdiri dari hubungan sebab-akibat, sarana-hasil, latar-kesimpulan, syarat-hasil, perbandingan, identifikasi, dan generik-spesifik. (3) Aspek sarana retorika terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu bahasa figuratif dan citraan. Bahasa figuratif berfokus pada keindahan penggunaan bahasa dari segi bentuk dan kandungan maknanya. Data yang diperoleh sebanyak 82 buah yang terdiri dari majas perbandingan dan majas pertautan. Sementara itu, citraan berfokus pada penggunaan bahasa yang memberikan gambaran cerita melalui pengalaman indera pembaca. Data yang diperoleh sebanyak 124 buah yang terdiri dari citraan visual, citraan auditif, citraan gerak, citra perabaan, dan citraan penciuman. Secara keseluruhan, pemunculan aspek-aspek gaya bahasa tersebut ditujukan sebagai penguatan unsur intrinsik wacana (penokohan, gagasan, referensi makna, alur cerita, suasana, dan latar), efisiensi-dinamisasi wacana, dan penciptaan variasi bentuk lingual pada wacana.

Abstract

This study aims to describe expressive speech acts and cultural values of Arab society contained in a collection of short stories Wahah al-Asdiqa’. This research uses qualitative approach with content analysis method. First, the researcher reads and studies the data, then records some expressive speech acts, after that she classifies and analyzes the speech into expressive speech acts and cultural values of Arab society, and most recently interpretes the data. The data analysis found that in the Wahah al-Asdiqa’ there are eight types of thanks using expressive speech acts, one replies from thank you, five apologies, seven greetings, two congratulations, fourty praises, five sad expressions, fourteen joyful expressions, and three offensive words, and there are some values of Arabic culture such as language, art, religion, technology, occupation, social organization, and science. Most of the culture of Arab society is based on the teachings of Islam, such as how to greet, praise always given to God, stories of prophets, culture makes poetry, etc. The expressive speech acts and cultural values must be taught to the Arabic students to improve expressive speech acts and have multicultural competence in communicating.Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tindak tutur ekspresif dan nilai-nilai budaya dalam masyarakat Arab dalam kumpulan cerita pendek Wahah al-Asdiqa’. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode konten analisis. Pertama, peneliti membaca dan mengkaji data lalu mencatat tindak tutur ekspresif, setelah itu mengklasifikasi dan menganalisis perkataan tersebut dalam tindak tutur ekspresif dan nilai-nilai budaya dalam masyarakat Arab, dan kemudian menginterpretasikan data. Berdasar hasil analisis, ada delapan tipe ucapan berterima kasih yang menggunakan tindak tutur ekspresif, satu respon dari ucapan terima kasih, lima permintaan maaf, tujuh sapaan, dua ucapan selamat, 40 pujian, lima ungkapan sedih, 14 ungkapan bahagia, dan tiga kata hinaan, selain itu ada beberapa nilai budaya Arab seperti bahasa, seni, agama, teknologi, mata pencaharian, organisasi sosial, dan ilmu. Kebanyakan budaya masyarakat Arab didasarkan pada pengajaran Islam, seperti cara menyapa, pujian terhadap Tuhan, kisah-kisah nabi, budaya membuat puisi, dan sebagainya. Tindak tutur ekspresif dan nilai budaya harus diajarkan kepada siswa yang mempelajari Bahasa Arab untuk meningkatkan tindak tutur ekspresif dan memiliki kompetensi multi kultural dalam berkomunikasi.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan alat komunikasi penting dalam berinteraksi sehari-hari. Bahasa dalam komunikasi haruslah dipergunakan dengan sebaik-baiknya. Keberhasilan penggunaan bahasa dalam proses berkomunikasi tidak hanya dengan memilih diksi yang baik, namun juga perlu diselaraskan dengan konteks komunikasi (pragmatik). Prinsip kerja sama merupakan salah satu prinsip berkomunikasi dalam ilmu pragmatik. Prinsip kerja sama Grice dalam menciptakan suasana komunikasi yang baik dibagi menjadi empat prinsip, yaitu: (1) prinsip kuantitas; (2) prinsip kualitas; (3) prinsip relevansi; dan (4) prinsip pelaksanaan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pemenuhan prinsip kerja sama Grice pada percakapan film animasi berbahasa Mandarin xiong xiong le yuan 3. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pemenuhan prinsip kerja sama Grice dalam film animasi xiong xiong le yuan 3. Pemenuhan dilakukan dengan menerapkan prinsip kerja sama Grice dalam setiap komunikasi yang dilakukan penutur dan mitra tutur. Penerapan prinsip kerja sama yang baik dalam sebuah film animasi dapat menghasilkan dampak yang baik pula dalam penyampaian pesan yang terdapat pada sebuah film animasi kepada penonton.
