Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gaya komunikasi, motivasi dan cara pengambilan keputusan K.H. Tatang Astarudin dalam menumbuhkan akhlak mulia di kalangan santri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, melalui observasi dan wawancara sebagai langkah pengumpulan data, serta menganalisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa dalam menumbuhkan akhlak mulia di kalangan santri tidak lepas dari peran seorang pemimpin dengan gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan karismatik. Dalam kepemimpinan demokratis di tuntut untuk tidak melakukan keputusan dengan cara sepihak dan mempunyi sifat musyawarah. Karismatik yaitu gaya kepemimpinan yang dapat mengambil simpatik para santri. Komunikasi dan memotivasi juga sangat berperan penting dalam membentuk sebuah keperibadian yang baik. This paper aims to find out how communication styles, motivations are given and ways of making decisions K.H. Tatang Astarudin, in cultivating noble character among students. The method used in this research is descriptive, through observation and interviews as a step to collect data, and analyze with qualitative means. The results of the research obtained that in cultivating noble character among students cannot be separated from the role of a leader with a democratic and charismatic leadership style. In democratic leadership, it is demanded not to make decisions in an arbitrary or one-sided manner, because in a democratic leadership the emphasis is on leadership who can hear the aspirations and sound the nature of deliberation. Charismatic is a style of leadership that can take sympathy. Communication and motivation also play an important role in shaping a good personality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the mutaba'ah Al-Quran program through WhatsApp group interactions provided by the Ruquu Community in Bandung. The study focuses on the perceptions and experiences of these community members' involvement in the mutaba'ah program by employing a phenomenological method that depends on in-depth online and offline interviews with the community's founder as well as four purposefully selected community members. It can be argued that although it is something new, the mutaba'ah program through WhatsApp is a simple and voluntary process but has a positive impact on community members. This is due in part to the simplicity of the WhatsApp features. Furthermore, those who take part in the mutaba'ah program are highly motivated to study the Quran, despite the fact that some of them are still hindered by technological issues such as time availability and constraints related to limited internet connection at particular times.

Abstract

As a minority group in Australia, Indonesian Muslims are potentially experiencing identity crisis as they categorized as outsiders. This article describe how pengajian (Islamic study groups) and other socio-religious events among Indonesian Muslims as a constructive effort to change the perception of insiders over their social status in order to strengthen their identity as a member in a multicultural societies as theoretically, religion is believed to provide not only the meaning for life but also as social system which provides social control, cohesion, and purposes. Using the IMCV (Indonesian Muslim Community of Victoria) as a case, it could be identified that religious events can be a potential means to maintain their identity as Indonesian Muslims in the context of Australia

Abstract

SMS Tauhiid merupakan layanan pesan dakwah yang dapatdiakses melalui SMS dan dapat diakses secara gratis yang merupakan salah satu terobosan dakwah berkenaan dengan perkembangan media. Sebagaimana media lainnya, SMS memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan. Salah satu kekurangan utama yang dimiliki oleh SMS adalah keterbatasan jumlah karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap tentang apresiasi para jamaah (pelanggan) terhadap layanan SMS Tauhiid. Untuk mencapai tujuan hal tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus sehingga tidak bertujuan untuk melakukan generalisasi atas kasus lain yang mungkin memiliki keserupaan di tempat lain. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa sebagai media dakwah, SMS Tauhiid diapresiasi secara positif oleh pelanggan sebagai jamaah dan memiliki nilai guna bagi pengalaman keberagamaan merekasehari-hari.

Abstract

In the era of the internet and social media, reading the Quran is no longer a specific activity that must be bound by a certain time and place. This article describes the Instagram-based campaign efforts carried out by PPPA Darul Quran as a pesantren that focuses on the study of the Quran. Using the virtual ethnography method, this research shows how the @qurancall account has become a strategic campaign media aimed at the increasingly literate social media community. In general, the contents of @qurancall not only promote learning and memorizing the Quran anytime and anywhere, but also there are some messages of wisdom that can inspire its followers. Furthermore, this account also has a pragmatic function as a channel to promote PPPA Darul Quran as an institution for studying the Quran in Indonesia.  Keywords: Tahfidz Al-Quran, PPPA Darul Quran, social media, Instagram @qurancall   Abstrak Di era kedigdayaan internet dan media sosial, aktivitas membaca Al-Quran tidak lagi menjadi aktivitas spesifik yang harus terikat waktu dan tempat tertentu. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan tentang upaya kampanye berbasis media sosial Instagram yang dilakukan oleh PPPA Darul Quran sebagai pesantren yang berfokus pada kajian Al-Quran. Dengan menggunakan metode etnografi virtual, penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana akun @qurancall telah menjadi media kampanye strategis yang memang ditujukan pada masyarakat semakin melek media sosial. Secara umum, konten dalam @qurancall tidak hanya mempromosikan untuk belajar dan menghapal Al-Quran kapan saja dan dimana saja, tetapi juga terdapat beberapa pesan-pesan hikmah yang dapat menginspirasi para follower-nya. Lebih jauh, akun ini juga memiliki fungsi pragmatis sebagai salah satu saluran untuk mempromosikan PPPA Darul Quran sebagai institusi kajian Al-Quran di Indonesia.   Kata kunci: Tahfidz Al-Quran, PPPA Darul Quran, media sosial, Instagram @qurancall

Abstract

This article will examine the practice of clickbait journalism, which is increasingly common in news titles in online media, through the lens of Altheide and Snow's media logic. Due to social distancing policies during the pandemic, this article employs the library research method by collecting materials and references online by observing several clickbait news titles on Tribunnews.com. Trends can be identified based on data analysis, such as exaggeration, graphics or titles containing obscene, disturbing/disgusting, or shady material, bait-and-switch, and ambiguous or confusing and tend to grab readers' interest. Nevertheless, although this practice has been criticized as a mere business, this article argues that this practice does not always represent the poor credibility of online media since this practice is not only caused by the technical logic of online media but also caused by the changing behavior of the readers which is more increasingly digitalized.

Abstract

Jurnalisme profetik jika diterapkan dalam kegiatan MQTV menjadi hal yang tepat karena menyajikan beragam informasi islami dengan tujuan seperti humanisasi (kemanusiaan), liberasi (pembebasan), dan transendensi (ketuhanan). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan misi-misi profetik yang dilakukan oleh wartawan media MQTV pada kegiatan penyiaran, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil penelitian 1) Humanisasi diterapkan dengan memberikan tayangan yang berbobot, serta ceramah. 2) Liberasi diterapkan melalui pembuatan konten dakwah rahmatan lil alamin. 3) Transendensi diterapkan melalui perilaku para wartawan MQTV yang bekerja secara jujur dan membuat konten yang islami, informatif dan bermanfaat juga memposisikan diri bukan hanya sebagai pekerja, namun juga sebagai santri dari Aa Gym.Kata Kunci : Jurnaisme Profetik; Misi Profetik; PenyiaranProphetic journalism is very appropriate if applied in broadcasting activities by Islamic media, one of which is MQTV which presents a variety of Islamic information, because it has goals such as humanization (humanity), liberation (liberation), and transcendence (divinity). The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of the prophetic missions carried out by MQTV media journalists in broadcasting activities using qualitative descriptive methods through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study show 1) Humanization is applied by providing weighty impressions, as well as lecture shows. 2) Liberation is implemented through the creation of da'wah content for rahmatan lil alamin. 3) Transcendence is applied through the behavior of MQTV journalists who work honestly and create Islamic, informative and useful content and position themselves not only as workers, but also as students from Aa Gym. Keywords: Prophetic Journalism; Prophetic Missions; Broadcasting

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perumusan strategi konvergensi media yang dilakukan Inspira TV Bandung, implementasi strategi yang digunakan, model konvergensi yang digunakan dan evaluasi hasil strategi yang diterapkan. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang digunakan oleh Inspira TV Bandung dalam mengkonvergensikan medianya ialah strategi 3M (Multimedia, Multichannel, Multiplatform). Implementasi strategi melalui perumusan visi, misi dan tujuan perusahaan, analisis lingkungan persaingan dan menilai secara obyektif kelemahan dan kekurangan sumber daya manusia yang dimiliki. Model konvergensi yang dilakukan oleh Inspira TV Bandung adalah konvergensi newsgathering. Evaluasi hasil implementasi strategi Inspira TV Bandung tetap menjadi media alternatif yang mengkreasi dan mendistribusi konten maupun berita di multiplatform.This study aims to describe the formulation of the media convergence strategy carried out by Inspira TV Bandung, the implementation of the strategy, the convergence model used and the evaluation of the results of the strategy applied. The researcher used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The results of this study that the strategy used by Inspira TV Bandung in converging its media is the 3M strategy (Multimedia, Multichannel, Multiplatform). Strategy implementation through of the media's vision, mission and objectives, conducting an analysis of the competitive environment and objectively assessing the weaknesses and shortcomings of human resources. The convergence model carried out by Inspira TV Bandung is newsgathering convergence. Evaluation of the results of the implementation of the Inspira TV Bandung strategy remains an alternative media that creates and distributes content and news on multiplatforms.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui praktik diskursif, praktik non-diskursif dan materialisasi wacana terkait profesionalitas pada film The Journalist. Konsep dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori model S. Jager dan F. Maeir dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode analisis wacana kritis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian praktik diskursif terkait profesionalitas jurnalis seperti observasi, akurat, jujur terhadap kebenaran, dan kecepatan dalam menyelesaikan setiap kasus atau masalah. Sementara praktik non-diskursif terkait profesionalitas jurnalis digambarkan dengan kemampuan menyiapkan bahan-bahan untuk pengembangan dan akurasi kisah, kecerdikan dan tidak arogan. Sedangkan materialisasi wacana terkait profesionalitas jurnalis digambarkan dengan kemampuan dalam menyampaikan berita lewat tulisan-tulisan yang dapat dipahami oleh publik.Kata Kunci: Analisis Wacana Kritis; Profesionalitas Jurnalis; FilmABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to determine the professional-relevant discursive, non-discretionary and discursive materialization practices in the film The Journalist. The concept of this study uses the theory of the S. Jager and F. Maeir model together with the qualitative approach and the method of critical discourse analysis. Based on the results of research on the discourse and practice of journalists' professionalism  such as observation, accuracy, honesty, and speed in solving incidents and problems. Resourcefulness and arrogance are present while the non-discretionary practices associated with the professionalism of a journalist with the ability to prepare material for article development and accuracy are shown. The embodiment of discourse is presented in relation to the professionalism of journalists, but in relation to the professionalism of journalists, the ability to deliver news through generally understandable sentences.Keywords: Critical Discourse Analysis; Journalist Professionalism; Film

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the strategy starts from the planning and implementation determined by Ayobandung.com. As well as what are the criteria for proper news on the media Ayobandung.com. The method used in this study is a case study. The case study method was chosen because the focus of the problem under study is related to mass media institutions as intermediaries in the dissemination of information obtained from netizens. In this study it was found that the strategy of Ayobandung.com in making citizen journalism news consists of, firstly planning citizen journalismis made through holding editorial meetings, secondly Implementation of citizen journalism on Ayobandung.com is by providing signs for news writing, and the three criteria for citizen journalism news published on are news that meet the criteria, news about history, events and uniqueness in the city of Bandung.
