Abstract

This paper discusses the dynamics of the Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah organization of North Sumatra Indonesia in the past, today and in the future. Al Washliyah is a organization that was born, raised and developed in the city of Medan, inseparable from the influence of the clergy and experiencing various dynamics. The results of this paper are: That Al Wasliyah has great scholars who contribute to providing understanding and enlightenment in the field of religion for the people of North Sumatra. With the age of entering a century, Al Washliyah must be aware of the scarcity of scholars that occur in the midst of its organization. It has become an obligation for Al Washliyah to move quickly to carry out the maintenance of its clerical curriculum if it does not want to be left behind and lose its clerical traditions.

Abstract

Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) can serve as an effective platform to explore members’ understanding of the code of ethics, identify challenges, and formulate reinforcement strategies aligned with religious values. This community service activity was carried out in April 2025 at the Headquarters of the Medan City Police, aiming to strengthen the Code of Ethics of the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) among its members. By utilizing FGDs focused on religious character, this initiative addressed the potential erosion of ethical compliance due to work pressure and complex environments. Religious values were regarded as a strong moral foundation. The program included problem identification, planning, participatory FGD sessions with religious-based materials and case studies, and impact evaluation. The results showed improved understanding of the code of ethics and the relevance of religious character, evidenced by enhanced ethical dilemma analysis, increased commitment to religious values, and more proactive problem-solving. Active participation and positive feedback confirmed the members’ readiness for self-reflection and heightened motivation to implement the code of ethics and religious values.

This research method uses a literature review method. Literature review is an important stage in research which aims to collect, analyze and summarize information from various sources relevant to the research topic. The research results show that high inflation can reduce people's purchasing power, so that household consumption can decrease. When inflation is out of control, people will be more careful in spending, which can affect demand for goods and services. High inflation rates can create uncertainty in the market, thereby reducing investors' interest in investing. Conversely, low and stable inflation can encourage greater investment

Abstract

Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a learning model that focuses on solving real-world problems to foster students’ critical and analytical thinking skills. Meanwhile, Project-Based Learning (PjBL) emphasizes students’ involvement in completing projects that produce tangible products, thereby enhancing collaboration and creativity. This study aims to compare the effects of PBL and PjBL on students' cognitive learning outcomes in science education at SMP Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was employed. The research sample consisted of 116 students, comprising 39 students in the PBL class, 38 in the PjBL class, and 39 in the control class. Data were collected using cognitive learning outcome tests and analyzed with the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests. The results revealed significant differences in students’ cognitive learning outcomes between the PBL and PjBL models. PBL was found to be more effective in enhancing students’ cognitive learning outcomes compared to PjBL. These findings suggest that problem-based learning can improve the effectiveness of science education.
