Abstract

Materi dalam matematika saling berhubungan satu sama lain sehingga untuk memecahkan masalah matematika diperlukan koneksi matematis. Dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita, sering kali siswa tidak sepenuhnya mengenali dengan baik konsep yang digunakan dalam menjawab soal sehingga kurang tepat dalam menyelesaikannya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa berkemampuan tinggi dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian 3 siswa kelompok berkemampuan tinggi kelas VII A MTs Ma’arif Ambulu. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa berkemampuan tinggi dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita dapat disimpulkan bahwa hanya sebagian konsep/prosedur terhubung dan teraplikasi pada A1, serta sebagian besar konsep/prosedur/masalah terhubung dan teraplikasi pada A2, A3, dan A4.

Abstract

Kecemasan yang terjadi pada siswa saat pembelajaran matematika karena adanya hambatan dalam belajar matematika, salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan guru yaitu dengan memberikan scaffolding oleh guru kepada siswa dengan arahan-arahan atau katakunci yang terbatas, agar dapat menyelesaikan hambatan yang dialami siswa sehingga struktur berpikir siswa dapat mencapai zone of proximal development. Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif, hasil penelitian ini bahwa struktur berpikir S1 tidak sesuai dengan struktur masalah pada bagian Dt, Y3, Ha, dan K, sedangkan struktur berpikir S2, dan S3 tidak sesuai dengan struktur masalah pada bagian Dk, Dt, Y3, Ha, dan K. Untuk mencapai zone of proximal development masing-masing dari S1, S2 dan S3 sangat berbeda terlihat dari struktur berpikir yang telah dicapai, sehingga dalam penelitian ini siswa diberikan scaffolding dari ahli dimana pada zona perkembangan potensial mementingkan adanya bantuan dari ahli (guru) sehingga struktur berpikir yang dimiliki S1, S2 dan S3 sesuai dengan struktur masalah yang diberikan untuk menuju zone of proximal development. Kesimpulannya bahwa struktur berpikir siswa sesuai dengan struktur masalah yang diberikan dengan pemberian scaffolding oleh ahli (guru) kepada siswa sehingga zone of proximal development tercapai.

Abstract

Characteristics of students who are diverse, such as different learning styles will also lead to the possibility of differences in students' ability to understand the learning material and every problem given, especially at the stage of understanding the problem given, because this stage is the most important step to determine the next problem-solving step. Therefore this study aims to reveal and illustrate how different characteristics of visual, audio and kinesthetic students in understanding problems. Data retrieval was done in class VIII of Arjasa 1 Junior High School with test methods, interviews, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed through stages of data reduction, analysis, and decision making. Furthermore, based on the data analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that there are differences in the characteristics of understanding problems for visual, auditory and kinesthetic students in terms of completeness and regularity of information writing, quantity of repetition of reading questions, marking important information and activity/movement habits done during the process of understanding the problem.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu 1) mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan soal berbasis local wisdom yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika; 2)  mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar matematika setelah di terapkan discovery learning dengan soal berbasis local wisdom. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari hasil observasi awal pada pendahuluan yang diperoleh bahwa hasil belajar yang masih rendah. Pendekatan dalam penelitian  yaitu menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK).Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran discovery learning dengan soal berbasis local wisdom bisa membuat hasil belajar siswa menjadi meningkat.  Dari tes pertama diperoleh dari hasil belajar siswa yang mendapatkan nilai lebih dari sama dengan 75 yaitu sebanyak 9 siswa dengan total seluruh 28 siswa, secara ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 32,14 %.  Setelah dilaksanakan tes kedua dengan pembelajaran discovery learning dengan berbasis soal local wisdom yang memperoleh nilai ≥75 yaitu sebanyak 13 siswa dari jumlah total yang mengikuti ujian kedua yaitu sebanyak 28 dan secara ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 46,42 %.  Dari hasil tes pertama dan  tes kedua mengalami peningkatan 14,28 % untuk ketuntasan secara klasikal.Kata kunci: discovery learning, soal local wisdom, hasil belajar

Abstract

Analysis of new student registration based on data, that new students of FPMIPA IKIP PGRI Jember in many registration forms dropped first choice in biology education study program and second choice in other faculties, based on that matter is an evaluation material that must be done by FPMIPA whether students new students who choose biology education study programs also have good basic math skills with the aim of improving the quality of new student admissions at FPMIPA, so it needs to be analyzed about the basic mathematical abilities possessed by new students who are in FPMIPA Especially new students of biology education study programs. The formulation of the problem in this case, is how to analyze the basic abilities of mathematics to improve the quality of new students of FPMIPA, with the aim is to find out the results of the analysis of the basic mathematical abilities of new students of FPMIPA to improve the quality of FPMIPA new student admissions each year. Descriptive qualitative research design with 6 research subjects, the results of the study that the structure of solving mathematical problems that are owned by new students of biology education study programs, 4 subjects have basic mathematical abilities. The study concludes that new students of FPMIPA who have an interest in choosing biology education study programs also have basic mathematical abilities, which is an effort to improve the quality of new student admissions at FPMIPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pengaruh Tipe Kepribadian dan Karakter Siswa (Koleris, Plegmatis, Sanguinis dan Melankolis) Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Bentuk Segiempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian expost facto. Dalam penelitian ini diperoleh hasil rata-rata skala CRI dengan jawaban benar dan prosentase miskonsepsi masing-masing siswa berdasarkan karakternya adalah 1) koleris sebesar 4,4 dan 2,56% , 2) plegmatis sebesar 3,36 dan18,04 % , 3) sanguinis sebesar 2,58 dan 36,4 % , dan 4) melankolis sebesar 4,28 dan 2,82% . Hal tersebut menujukkan bahwa siswa koleris memiliki keyakinan dan pemahaman yang paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa dengan karakter yang lain. Sedangkan hasil dari analisis data diperoleh nilai dari signifikansi F yaitu 0,0066 ≤∝ = 0,05 yang artinya karakter siswa sangat berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep bentuk segiempat dan juga nilai dari R-square sebesar 0,98 yang artinya berkorelasi kuat dan mempengaruhi secara positif sebesar 98 %.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the obstacles to online and offline mathematics learning for autistic students in class VIII SMPLB Bintoro Jember. This research conducted was qualitative research through a descriptive approach. The subjects were the class teacher. The collection of data using interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis with data reduction stages and then data presentation after that drawing conclusions. The validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The research obtained the following results: (1) Implementation of online and offline mathematics learning for autistic students in class VIII SMPLB Bintoro Jember which was carried out by class teachers assisted by smartphones with the WhatsApp application. (2) The difficulties experienced by teachers in implementing online mathematics learning for autistic students in class VIII, which consist of student factors themselves, student focus and an environment that is different from school. (3) The factors that cause a decrease in learning outcomes in autistic students, which consist of limited time, cellphone and signal constraints and parents who cannot accompany autistic students in learning because they are busy. The conclusion obtained was that there was a decrease in the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII autistic students before the pandemic with an average of 74.75, while during the pandemic it was an average of 70.75. Even though there are several obstacles in learning that cause a decrease in the value obtained by autistic students in learning during a pandemic as much as 4%, the implementation of online learning can be stated as good and smooth with the help of a smartphone using the WhatsApp application.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the difficulties of students with special needs (mentally retarded, deaf, and blind children) in understanding mathematical concepts, which will be described by levels. The research uses descriptive method. Data collection technique used observations of students with special needs to see the difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts (dyscalculia), and interviews conducted with mathematics teachers to complement the results of the observations. The research sample is deaf students, blind students, and mentally retarded students in the Jember district. The data analysis technique in this study uses the flow model. The results of this study were that the level of achievement with good assessment categories was dominated by blind students, namely from 10 aspects of the assessment only weak in the section on grouping the shape dimensions, while the deaf achieved good assessments, namely 1) sorting objects based on the length and short size, 2) understanding the number of objects, 3) understanding numbers, and 4) writing and saying numbers. Meanwhile, mentally retarded students only have 1 good assessment aspect, namely understanding the length of objects. The conclusion is that dyscalculia is mostly suffered by mentally retarded children, deaf children suffered moderate level, and the best level of the subject is blind children.

Abstract

Children with Special Needs are children who in education require specific services, different from children in general. Children with special needs are divided into 10 groups, namely: Blind, mentally retarded, dyslexic, hyperactive, mentally impaired, deaf, mute, autistic, disabled, gifted child. Blind is someone who has less accurate/poor vision compared to sighted people, even though they already assisted with visual aids, and cause them to require a lot of energy and time to do visual tasks. Therefore, blind children experience more difficulties in their education. Learning difficulties in mathematics are called dyscalculia. The most basic dyscalculia experienced by blind children is knowing numbers. So to find out the dyscalculia experienced by children with special needs who are blind in knowing numbers, the researchers took this research with a descriptive type of research and with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study consisted of 2 students from class 4 of the blind group at SDLB Negeri Branjangan for the 2022/2023 academic year. The results of identification of dyscalculia in children with special needs in recognizing numbers are presented in the form of a description of each individual obtained from observation data, tests and interviews. The results of this study were that S1 subjects had dyscalculia on the characteristics of dyscalculia, namely visual motor associations and attention disorders, on the classification of dyscalculia, namely knowledge of numbers, on the types of dyscalculia, namely weak in planning and inability to do simple calculations. Whereas subject S2 has dyscalculia in the types of dyscalculia, namely weak in planning and inability to do simple calculations. Keywords: Children with Special Needs, Blind, Dyscalculia

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar perkalian siswa dengan metode garismatika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pada penelitian ini terdapat dua subjek, subjek S1 dan S2. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu dengan mengunakan metode garismatika hasil belajar perkalian kedua subjek lebih baik dari sebelumnya pada saat menggunakan metode penjumlahan berulang yang di terapkan oleh guru, serta metode garismatika menjadi alternatif dari kesulitan kedua subjek dalam menyelesaikan soal perkalian yang disebabkan oleh kelemahan siswa dalam operasi hitung penjumlahan berulang. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini dengan penggunaan metode garismatika hasil belajar perkalian siswa meningkat dari sebelumnya.
