Abstract

Work engagement to private sector workers during the Covid-19 pandemic has been stationary or experienced a decline.  One of the antecedents of work engagement is personal resources construct. One derives personal resources construct is psychological capital based on the Job Demand Resources (JD- R) model. This research aims to prove the moderating role of age diversity to private sector workers in connection between psychological capital and work engagement referring to the theory of “Conservation of Resource” (COR). This research involves 127 Jabodetabek employees that works in private sectors. The measuring instrument used is Utrecht Work Engagement scale (UWES)-9, Psychological Capital Questionaire (PCQ-24) and age diversity that is categorized in 4 groups. The result of the research shows that there is a significant positive connection between psychological capital and work engagement of private sector employees.  In other side, age diversity does not have a moderation effect, there is insignificant interaction effect between psychological capital and age diversity to work engagement, who the majority of participants in this study have already led to the stage of maintaining (age 41- 60 years old). With regard to the second most participants entering the advancement stage (ages 27–40 years old). In addition, this research proves employee who has high psychological capital; resulting in an increase of work engagement

Abstract

The purpose of this study determined the mediating role of work motivation on the relationship between perceived career development and the performance of the State Civil Apparatus whose agency equalized structural/echelon positions into functional positions. This study is a quantitative study using a self-report questionnaire via an online form. Respondents are Employee Government/ASN aged 25-56 years taking into account education, years of service, and the current position selected by convenience sampling. The analysis was carried out using Mediation Model 4 from Process v4.0 by Andrew Hayes on IBM SPSS version 26. After measuring, each variable measuring instrument achieved good and valid reliability. The direct effect of perceived career development on ASN performance was greater (effect value = 0.0818; p < 0.005; LLCI = 0.0482 and ULCI = 0.1154) than the direct effect mediated by work motivation (effect value = 0.0686; p < 0.005; LLCI=0.0449 and ULCI=0.0932). This shows that work motivation partially mediates the relationship between perceived career development and ASN performance significantly. Furthermore, from the results of this study, government agencies that carry out structural/echelon position equalization can develop programs that can improve the career development perceived by ASN and work motivation to improve ASN performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of organizational learning culture on the relationship between proactive personality and employee creativity. The study uses a self-report online survey that was distributed to 158 employees in a company engaged in the construction and repair of network infrastructure in Indonesia. The data analysis technique used Hayes PROCESS Model 4 (Mediator Regression Analysis). The results of the research through the perspective of person-fit theory show that employees with a high level of proactive personality will have a high level of creativity, and will increase when employees are in an organizational learning culture. Organizational learning culture is considered to have a positive influence on employee creativity. Organizations need to consider implementation in increasing creativity through organizational learning culture.

Abstract

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the mediating effect of knowledge sharing behavior on the relationship between openness to experience and innovative work behavior on students at the University of Indonesia. Research methodology: Quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study was employed for the research. The study population consisted of 306 students in Universitas Indonesia. Data were elicited through a questionnaire with convenience sampling technique while the analysis was carried out using PROCESS by Hayes. Results: The results of this study revealed that knowledge sharing behavior has a partially mediating role in the relationship between openness to experience and innovative work behavior. Limitations: The challenge was the unevenness sample from each faculty, most of the students selected for the study through a random method were from the Faculty of Psychology. This could affect the generalizability of the findings. Contribution: The results of this study can be used as a reference for training innovation programs that will be given to Universitas Indonesia students for the purpose of making them better prepared to innovate.

Abstract

Purpose: This study focuses on the role of innovation self-efficacy as a mediator in the relationship between knowledge sharing behavior and innovative work behavior. Research methodology: This research was conducted on 306 students from 14 faculties who were taking second to last semester. This study was measured using the Innovative Work Behavior (IWB) scale developed by (Janssen, 2000) Knowledge Sharing Behavior (KSB) developed by (Chen, Chen, & Kinshuk, 2009), and Innovation Self-Efficacy (ISE.6) developed by (Dungs, Sheppard, & Chen, 2017) The sampling method in this study used non-probability sampling with a convenience sampling technique. The statistical analysis technique used PROCESS through IBM SPSS version 21. Results: The results showed that innovation self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between knowledge sharing behavior and innovative work behavior. Limitations: The limitation in this study is that the effect of mediation is still partial mediation so it is hoped that further research can examine other mediator variables that have a stronger influence. Contribution: This research contributes to institutions, companies, or governments to develop programs or activities that aim to improve an individual's innovative work behaviors.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between organizational memory and innovative work behavior. The study was conducted on 100 employees from various levels and positions in a company that produce and trade electronic solar equipment. To measure the organizational memory, we used Organizational Memory Scale developed by Dunhamm (2010) with ?=0.75. Then, to measure innovative work behavior, we used Innovative Work Behavior Scale from Janssen (2000) with ?=0.80. The results show that there is positive and significant correlation between organizational memory and innovative workbehavior (r=0.35; p<0.01). Hierarchical-regression analysis shows that (1) altogether education level, job type and organizational memory influences 19% of variance in innovative behavior; (2) when these variables are analysed together, only education level shows significant impact on innovative behavior. We discuss theoretical and methodological reasons for these results and offer future direction for research.
