Abstract

Mothering practices and support form surrounding environment are needed to stimulate special need children.This research aimed to analyze the correlation of relationships parent-teacher and mothering practices, in familieswith special need children. The research involved mother and teacher of 30 students aged 7-12 years from twoExtraordinary School in West Bogor and South Bogor Sub District, Bogor City. The sample selected usingpurposive method. The result showed that there were positive correlation between the length parent’s educationand the per capita income of the family with the dimensions of maternal consistency. In addition, the parentteacherrelationship had a positive correlation with mother-child relationship at home.The result also found thatthe length of the parent’s education has a positive correlation with the dimension of sharing information.Furthermore, according to the teacher's perception, the mother’s age has a positive correlation with the dimensionof dependability and availability of both parties. But on the contrary, there are negative correlation between thelonger the father’s education with the dimensions of feeling of affiliation and support. And also the children’s agehas a negative correlation with the dimensions of sharing information.

Abstract

PIK-R (Pusat Informasi Konseling Remaja) as one of the programs for adolescents is expected to be able to contribute positively in developing positive behavior and suppress the potential for negative adolescent behavior. This study aims to analyze the positive and negative behavior of high/vocational school students and their relation to knowledge, participation, and effectiveness of the PIK-R program at school. This study used a cross sectional study design involving 687 students in selected public and private high/vocational schools in Bekasi City, Indonesia. Structured questionnaire is used to measure the students’ characteristics, the students’ negative behavior, and the effectiveness of the PIK-R program. The study found that only 54.88% of students were aware of the PIK-R program and only 8.11% attended the program. Even so, the results of different tests show that students who take part in the PIK-R program show significantly lower negative behaviors, especially in pornography, online games, and smoking addiction. In addition, it was also found that male students tended to have higher negative behavior than female students. The results of multiple linear regression also show the real effect of the PIK-R program in suppressing the negative behaviors of adolescents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep human capital benchmarking dan menganalisis pengaruh human capital benchmarking danmanajemen talenta secara parsial dan simultan terhadap pelayanan publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan termasuk kedalam penelitian survei. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket/kuesioner dengan metode skala likert dan diolah secara statistikmenggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis). Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan simple random sampling dan diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 70 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pegawai ASN yang bekerja di lingkungan pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Purwakarta. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah menggunakan alat analisis SPSS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya hubungan antara human capital benchmarking dengan manajemen talenta terhadap pelayanan publik yang dimediasi oleh kinerja pegawai. Hasilpengumpulan data menunjukkan bahwa human capital benchmarking dan manajemen talenta berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pelayanan publik, kinerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pelayanan publik, human capital benchmarking dan manajemen talenta berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja, kemudian pada uji koefisien determinasi (R2) menunjukkan human capitalbenchmarking dan manajemen talenta dan kinerja secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap pelayanan publik dengan pengaruh sebesar 66,8 % sedangkan sisanya 33,2 % dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar model ini. Uji path analysis menunjukkan variabel kinerja memediasi pengaruh human capital benchmarking dan manajemen talenta terhadap pelayanan publik.

Abstract

One of the crucial role of families in children's education is parents' involvement in early childhood education. However, several research results indicate that the involvement of parents in children's education is still low. This study aims to analyze the influence of motivational beliefs and life context on parental involvement in early childhood education. This study involved 86 respondents consisting of 43 respondents from Babakan Village and 43 respondents from Dramaga Village that selected purposively with the criteria of having children aged 3-5 years and being students in PAUD in both villages. Data were collected using interview techniques with questionnaire tools. The data analysis used was correlation test and regression tests. The results showed that the mother involvement, motivational beliefs, and life context scores of the mother were low. Mother characteristics that were significantly positively related to the motivational beliefs and life context variables were mother occupation and per capita income. The result indicates that motivational beliefs and life context are both associated with mother involvement. Children's age, mother's age, mother education, per capita income, and family size have no significant effect on mother involvement. Motivational beliefs and life context have a positive effect on mother involvement.

Abstract

Considering future alternatives such as determining career plans is a fairly complex challenge for teenagers. Although college graduates have a longer learning experience than other education levels, there is still open unemployment in college graduates. This is due to students' low career maturity, whichh is influenced by their identity status and the support of their parents. This study analyzes the influence of adolescent characteristics, family characteristics, identity status, and parental support on career maturity. A total of 100 respondents included in this study consisted of 48 male and 52 female final-level undergraduate students selected by proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, then the data were analyzed using descriptive and inferencing analysis. The results showed that the identity status of achievement and father autonomy support had a significant positive effect on career maturity. In contrast, diffusion identity status and moratorium hurt career maturity. There were no significant differences between the career maturity of male and female respondents. Therefore, colleges and universities should implement comprehensive career guidance programs involving parents to ensure consistent and effective support.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood, marked by a “storm-and-stress” phase due to heightened susceptibility to conflicts and mood swings, making adolescents particularly vulnerable to stress. One prevalent form of stress among adolescents is academic stress, influenced by various factors. This study aims to analyze the impact of adolescent characteristics, family dynamics, parental roles, and school climate on the academic stress experienced by Madrasah Aliyah students in both rural and urban areas. The research was conducted across five schools, each representing a different sub-district, namely MA Mathlaul Anwar Barengkok, MA Mathlaul Anwar Cidokom, MA Al-Mukhlisin Ciseeng, MAN 1 Kota Bogor, and MAN 2 Kota Bogor. A purposive sampling approach was used to select 180 students, comprising 86 from rural and 94 from urban settings. Data were analyzed using correlation tests, regression analysis, and independent t-tests. The findings indicated that adolescent girls experience higher levels of academic stress than boys. Additionally, the dimensions of support and pressure showed a significant positive correlation with academic stress, while dimensions related to frequency and school climate did not demonstrate any influence in this study. This research offers important implications for educators and policymakers in developing targeted interventions aimed at alleviating academic stress, particularly through enhancing support systems and managing academic pressures for adolescents in diverse environments.

Abstract

In dual-earner families, the mother's role in fostering social-emotional development in children must be complemented by support from other caregivers, such as daycare staff. This study examines the impact of child and family characteristics, mother-child attachment, and caregiver-child interactions on the social-emotional development of preschool children attending daycare. Utilizing a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, the research was conducted in a daycare facility located in Bogor and included 40 mothers and their children, along with 20 caregivers. The findings revealed a significant positive relationship between mother-child attachment and children’s social-emotional development. Conversely, negative interactions between caregivers and children—particularly those characterized by harassment and detachment—were found to have a significant detrimental effect on children’s social-emotional development. Additionally, the analysis indicated that a secure mother-child attachment positively influences children’s social-emotional development, while negative interactions, such as harassment, detachment, and permissiveness among caregivers, adversely affect this aspect of development.

Abstract

Berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan karakter anak adalah proses panjang yang dilakukan di rumah dan selanjutnya dilakukan di sekolah sebagai lingkungan kedua pada anak usia prasekolah. Di era society 5.0, keterlibatan orangtua dalam mengasuh anak perlu diarahkan guna menguatkan karakter anak yang antara lain dilakukan melalui pembiasaan yang sehat bagi anak sejak dini. Metode sosialisasi yang dijalankan di rumah akan memberikan efek pada anak jika dilakukan melalui cara yang tepat, yaitu dengan memberikan teladan, memberikan penjelasan sesuai perkembangan kognitif anak, mendampingi anak, memberikan koreksi dan sanksi, pelatihan serta kesempatan terlibat dalam peristiwa sosial budaya di lingkungan rumah dan sekolah. Keterlibatan orangtua pada kegiatan sosial budaya di sekitar termasuk akses pada program stimulasi pengasuhan, baik yang diperoleh dari program pemerintah seperti Posyandu, BKB kelas pengasuhan, Puspaga, dan lain-lain ataupun dari media sosial dapat menjadi salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kapasitas orangtua di era society 5.0. Disamping itu, pemilihan orangtua pada pendidikan prasekolah berkualitas juga dapat menjadi salah satu solusi lain bagi terbentuknya karakter tangguh anak di masa datang. Pertanyaan terkait apakah kriteria yang menjadi prasyarat pada kualitas keluarga dan sekolah, sehingga dapat menjadi pembentuk disiplin sebagai karakter tangguh di era society 5.0 akan dibahas pada tulisan ini.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji perbedaan tekanan psikologis dan kesejahteraan subjektif keluarga di wilayah perdesaan dan perkotaan. Penelitian ini merupakan subsampling dari penelitian utama mengenai “Keragaan Ketahanan Keluarga Indonesia”. Penelitian ini mengambil dua lokasi dari penelitian utama yakni Kelurahan Empang dan Mulyaharja dengan melibatkan 60 orang contoh. Data diperoleh melalui hasil wawancara menggunakan kuesioner yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari separuh (60,2%) keluarga di kedua wilayah mengalami tekanan psikologis berupa hal-hal yang mengkhawatirkan. Hampir separuh (46,7%) keluarga di wilayah perdesaan dan hampir seperempat (23,3%) keluarga di wilayah perkotaan memiliki kesejahteraan subjektif yang rendah. Hasil uji beda independent sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa tekanan psikologis dan kesejahteraan subjektif lebih tinggi pada keluarga di wilayah perkotaan.Kata kunci: tekanan psikologis, kesejahteraan subjektif, keluarga, perdesaan, perkotaan

Abstract

AGIL (Adaptation, Goal attainment, Integration, and Latency) is refers to the functions that indicate a system capability of the to sustain. In this research, a system refers to a family system. The objective of this study is to analyze the correlation among research’s variables i.e., family social economic characteristics, AGIL family functions and family welfare. The research design was a cross sectional study and involved 120 samples that chosen from this research’s sampling frame. Result of research showed that there were positive significant correlation between: (i) adaptation with goal attainment, (ii) goal attainment with integration, and (iii) integration with latency. Those mean that the more adaptation being done, the more aims that the family want to achieve; then the more and the better integration and latency in functions of the family. Beside that, there were also positive significant correlation among adaptation, goal attainment and objective welfare. Those mean that the more adaptation function being done and the more aims that family want to achieve; then the higher the family objective welfare. Latency function of family had a positive correlation with subjective welfare. It means that the better latency in poor farmer families lead the higher the family subjective welfare.
